Hi and thanks for doing such an in depth review and install video. Considering doing this myself and wondering if there’s a kit that includes the tuned 6 and the MBQJ-48H (sound bar) or did you just buy both independently and scrap the 6x9’s that came with the tuned 6? Thanks!

My only con is that it isn’t the size of the full trunk area, so it’s less useful than most. The folding feature is awesome but, I need the full rear.

Hey buddy. I just took a look at your channel and it seems we have similar interests. I also live in Utah @ altitude, towing a trailer with a RTT, etc... I also had to make the decision of which supercharger to do (2012 JK 3.6L). Keep in mind, I am mechanically inclined, having built & tuned race cars, race motorcycles (road & dirt), etc... I looked at Sprintex, Magnuson, Edelbrock, RIPP, Procharger. I have supercharged a GP race car before and it was a centrifugal setup. I have learned that heat kills reliability. Heat is the #2 cause of engine failures behind poor tuning. All of the positive displacement options (Sprintex, Magnuson, Edelbrock) add low end torque like a centrifugal supercharger never could. The problem is they are highly inefficient because of the method of air compression, which increases intake & underhood temperatures a great deal. This was a big concern during summer months, in particular, and they will lose loads of HP during the summer due to the ridiculously hot intake temps. Below is my decision and I have 30k+ supercharged miles on my setup of driving it like it's stolen (116k on the motor). It's genuinely fast and dead nuts reliable. 2012 JK 3.6L RIPP SC tuned by me on HP Tuners (I was not satisfied with the stock RIPP tune). Get a pro to tune it, and do multiple sessions. Snow Performance Water/Methanol Injection - Cools the intake charge so much that I haul a$$ now, in July, and it's 104 degrees outside today. 4.88 Gears on 35" Duratracs Vented Hood (for looks and performance) Loads of other stuff... My Jeep builds boost from 1800rpm and pulls very strong starting at 3500 rpm. By 4k you'll say WTF? Do not be intimidated by the Water/Methanol. Run windshield washer fluid and enjoy the benefit of massive air intake temp reduction and it's like running 110 octane race fuel year round. I added 16 degrees of timing to RIPP's stock tunes without a hint of detonation (this is years ago, too). That's roughly a gain of 60HP, with better reliability and performance. I do not regret forgoing a positive displacement option. The intake & underhood heat reduction of the centrifugal setup, along with everything above, has made my Jeep maybe the most enjoyable 4 wheel vehicle I have ever had. You live near UT. If you think my Jeep lacks low end torque at say 2500 rpm, I would be happy to take you for a spin. Also, don't let people fool you into believing you need torque to offroad. Most rock crawlers are running 4 cylinder engines. The transfer case multiplies torque so much that you wouldn't notice the difference between a HEMI or a 4 cylinder TJ at 3 mph. That being said, my Jeep does not lack torque and I am happy to take guys for rides if they want to make an informed decision. In short, I'd do either the RIPP or the Procharger SC, and intend to have it custom tuned. I have been meaning to do a video of this and post it to RUclips because so many people claim SC's are a great way to blow up Jeep's.

I looked at these for my new Wrangler JL but went with the sun rider. Seeing these work, you would think Jeep would have made the freedom tops with a hinged tap that lets you do the same thing, and could still remove the freedom tops if you needed to remove the whole top and doors and go commando. I bought my Jeep thinking it would be easier to haul things since I mistakenly believed it had more room then my car. Boy was I mistaken😳

From what I understand, they can’t flash the PCM for the newer models, but don’t quote me on that. They may have come up with a solution since I made the video as far as engine reliability your guess is as good as mine, but I figure if I blow that thing up, I can buy another Star 3.6 for pretty cheap just about anywhere because a lot of people pull them out for hemi swaps and so forth so I’d rather spend the money on the supercharger And even another engine if I had the whole hemi swap upgrade will give you more horsepower than the hemi and more torque than the diesel

Is anyone making these for the newer model JL 2023 model? What about engine strength reliability? I don’t see anyone addressing this

Thanks for the video! Just bought my first jeep wrangler 2024 4xe and started looking for sound upgrades. Used mb quart components about 30 yrs ago and was completely blown away with the sound quality. Had used Rockford Fosgate subs back then because mb quart was only producing mainly tweeters and mids at that time. How is the base quality? Do your amps run hot? Will definitely use your storage bin idea for organizing the nuts n bolts when the time comes.

Absolutely great video! I'm at Jeep Beach in Daytona and your video convinced me to get the stage 6 this morning! One question, though...what did you use for the sound deadening mats in your floorboard? I never thought about this but if i'm going to be pulling everything out anyways i might as well do that while it's empty.

Cameras do not do this interior space no justice, I just purchased a open box unit yesterday, we popped it open and climbed in it, for prospective I'm 6'2 and can lay completely straight and still have head and foot room, also we are a family of 6 and we all can fit up there

The top fin of my light bar was bent. It would have been nice to get a view of the deflector you installed. My light bar does not make noise but I installed a new one on my son’s Jeep and his made noise until I modified the top fin of the light bar.
