You guys, this is such an amazing video. Thank you so much. Galicia is obviously totally stunning, but the video is artistic and fun and heartwarming. Thank you so much.
I’m deeply loving these videos you are putting out! Obviously I love the Camino content, but its videos like this that easily keep me coming back because I love your view on Spain as a whole😃
Such a great video (and beautiful shots!); I've been looking into walking the Ruta do Mar, starting at Ribadeo, and it looks like (so far) you are following the same route! And now your video has made me want to attempt this walk EVEN MORE...
I have walked Del Mar (part from Ribadeo to Sant André del Teixido) this May and it was spectacular❤ Although not much pilgrims infrastructure like albergues...
Wonderful video that brought back memories. We cycled from Vigo, via Cambados, through Santiago, up to Viveiro and across to San Sebastián. Mid May to mid June in 2019. It did rain but not all the time. It was all fabulous, empty of tourists and wonderful roads. Highly recommend the entire coast. The bike lanes are simply superb, especially through the towns and cities.
Very beautiful! I'm excited to explore Galicia (after I explore Andalucia). I have your TIE video bookmarked btw, as I'm going through that process now, and your vid is very helpful!
I missed this vid when it first came out, but better late… Once again, you’ve provided a beautifully done peek into one of your adventures and more ideas for my future travels. For me, the practice of traveling responsibly and respectfully is all important, and it’s one of the things I appreciate most about you folks and your approach to what you do. Not to mention the vicarious fun I have watching the fun you all have in these vids. ¡Saludos desde México!
Hello again from Alberta Canada. Michelle and I are liking what you put on video. It makes us think of moving to Spain in our old age. (Not that old ). We will see when she walks her first full lenght Camino. I have a couple in Holland (Where I was born) , who go around Holland and video all kinds of small villages and puts them on facebook or utube. That would be really interesting if you two went to show viewers what Spain is all about. They make good coin with their subscribers. A thought. Any ways Stay out of the rain. ❤
It makes me happy to see you happy. Excellent quality of life is a luxury these days. I have to do northern Spain next time I am there. The only thing that concerns me is that it rains too much, it seems. But, I'd rather have that kind of experience than Madrid. Madrid is good for a weekend, I suppose.
An update on a previous comment: my girlfriend and I did the first two stages of the Camino del Mar, from Ribadeo to Foz. It's predictably gorgeous, but the lack of albergues and deteriorating weather had us switch to the Portugues Coastal. I definitely still want to do it (and the Camino de los Faros) and will probably bring my camping gear, since there were plenty of places to camp along the coast and that should help with lodging costs.
Oh wow. Yeah, that del Mar has lots of challenges and Galicia has had a VERY wet autumn. Both the del Mar and the Dos Faros will be so much more enjoyable in good weather.
Hi there, my wife and I just found your channel while researching for a road trip through the northern coast of Spain. We are heading out there next weekend and are planning on stops in: Vigo, Pontevedra, Santiago de Compostela, and A Coruna before heading to the Basque region. Do you happen to have any recommendations on "must do" activities? We do have our tickets booked for the Cies Islands but nothing else. Thanks!
Sounds like you are visiting a lot of places! Our recommendations is to always slow down and visit fewer places and spend more time there. We love the rooftop cathedral tour in Santiago de Compostela. Visit the Playa de Catedrales on your way out of Galicia -- Just make sure you make a reservation for that!
Hi you guys. Love your video's. I did the Camino back in 2019 and I am going back next year, however you are definitely showing me places I haven't been to. I want to live there, but at what point do you just make the jump??? I figure if I make the jump, means giving up a job, and all my friends, and my home or maybe not. I especially love Gallacia, however I am not good with gray skies and lotsa rain...I know that would be something to get used to. Love the videos and continue making them
Making the jump is scary! We spent a few months living in Spain the year before we applied to our visa. It was our way of making sure we were certain about moving. Thanks for your kind words.
The coast is beautiful no matter the weather. Do you think we could visit easily while on the Camino? Maybe after finishing or taking rest days in between walking.
Please, keep it to yourselves. Mainly because we do not want another Ibiza, Canarias, here. Just think about the effect of these contents on the neighbors, the landscape, the cost of living. Let us live a quiet life.
Northern Spain, especially the Galician coast is underrated and just too beautiful to even comprehend. Thanks for sharing you guys 🙂
It really is! Thanks for watching.
Que teñades un bo día! - Have a nice day! Exciting video! Greetings from Sweden. 😀😉🙂
Thank you so much!
Greetings from a Galician, very good video. Thank you for showing my land 😊
Thank you 🥰

i look forward to your videos
Thanks so much! We've been looking at walking the Ruta do Mar, too! We saw lots of the trail signs on our roadtrip.

Aw thanks so much. We’re always trying to show a different side of Spain and it usually involves going a little slow. Glad you like it!
I understand “slow”. 🤙🏽
Great video and beautiful places! Enjoyed watching. Finished my first Camino on May 20 (Frances) and loved the experience. Del Norte next!!
Thanks so much! You'll love the Del Norte. It's gorgeous.
@@DaysWeSpend I am chomping at the bit!! May try to do it with your fanny pack way!
You should, it’s awesome!!!

Thanks! It does rain a lot, but that's what makes it so green. We're ok with that. (We also love Madrid...but not in summer)
@@DaysWeSpend Agreed. I was in Madrid a couple of years ago at the end of September and it was 98F almost every day. A little uncomfortable. 😁

@@DaysWeSpend ironically, we ended up walking through the forest fires in Portugal instead.
fantastic road trip! Now I know I definitely want to re-locate to Galicia 😁
Thanks so much! ❤
I recommend visiting Castro de SAN Cibrao de Las near Orense
Gracias!
Great video. ⭐
Added to my to-visit list.
(Really off subject, but what brand is the red/blue bag you are wearing Lainey? I like it a lot.)
Thanks so much! My bag is from Le Sportsac. It's a really old version from about 10 years ago.

Hill fort in teh beach Castro de Baroña i recommend

Agree! It's better to visit these places after the Camino. That way, you won't be rushing back to pilgrim life.
Please, keep it to yourselves. Mainly because we do not want another Ibiza, Canarias, here. Just think about the effect of these contents on the neighbors, the landscape, the cost of living. Let us live a quiet life.
You 2 are changing my mind about northern Spain. What were the temperatures in that area while you were there?
It was quite cold! 15-20 deg C in the daytime and about 10 deg C at night. But right now, we're have super warm temperatures at 28 deg.
in summer 25 to 30 grados
And in Winter it depends on the area but its quite common you find temperatures bellow zero some days (from -1 to -8 celsius).
@@antoniolopezlopez4236 I guess I’m looking for the perfect climate and it’s dosent exist.
No es el norte de España. Es el noroeste. Galicia is different.
