Once again, thank you. I hesitated when I saw this video come up on my feed, but I don't regret watching it now. It brought back memories and made me emotional. I did the Camino Frances 14 years ago. I did think that Santiago was a circus and too touristy. You showed another side to the city. Now my heart wants to go back to explore some of the things I missed the first time around (well, I think I'll skip the roof of the cathedral). The camino changes your life, and Santiago will always remind me that it's all about the journey and not the destination. Santiago was the end of the camino, but life is the journey.
Wow. We're honored that we could stir up those Camino memories for you. It took us many visits to find the less touristy spots in the city. They'll be there for your return!
As pilgrims who have watched a ridiculous amount of Camino content, this is the video we didn't know we needed. Thank you, thank you, thank you for delving a little deeper into this special city!... Brb, sharing this with a friend for our upcoming return to Santiago. ❤
I wish i had known about all these great attractions when I made my Camino in 2021. Sure hope I get to return one day and visit many of these sites. Thank you for putting this video together!
Gosh I love this. What memories. After a 3rd Camino in 2022 I said never again. But that urge has returned........ Love the videos too - showed a mate the process for NLV last night! Cheers, from Australia.
Days We Spend, gracias por vuestro vídeo sobre esta maravillosa ciudad de Santiago de Compostela, capital de Galicia y ciudad patrimonio de la humanidad. Repito, muchas gracias de un gallego que ama a su paí, Galicia.
Fantastic video. Some great destinations for spending time in Santiago. Really appreciate you guys making it. Will definitely be visiting some of them. 😊
Great video that shows that the sun also rises in the north of spain and is even more beautiful with the contrast of its buildings and the green of its surroundings. Great job.
Great recomendations... but you miss some "musts" of this city: - Collegiate church of Our lady of Sar. Romanesque. - Conxo's monastery, with its famous crucifix in it. - City of Culture, a great area with several museums built in contemporany art in the top of a hill. - Alameda: the most iconic (and beautiful) park of the city. - San Martin Pinario; museum and church. It was the most important monastery in Galicia. -Antealtares. Another great monastery. There are nuns in it and they make the Santiago's cake. - Gelmirez Aquaduct. A little aquaduct from the 12 century. - Campus norte: A beautiful park with a lake and a chapel. - Rochaforte's castle: the ruins of a medieval castle, out of the city centre.
Absolutely loved it - thanks!!! I walked into SdC 3times, twice with a huge "sircus" of veterancars, touristbusses, weddings, etc... I'll try to get to some of these places next time! (The rooftop tour is great, did it last time, ans Seminario Menor is a great, cheap place to have a singleroom in town). The convento de San Francisco also have a "diploma" for walking into SdC...
Great ideas! A few places we haven’t been to so thank you!!! We’ll be there for feast day this year! This will be our 3rd feast day celebration in Santiago. ❤❤
I left last Sunday and could've done seeing this sooner but will check out these great recommendations after 6 visits I was not aware of!! so next visit 👍. Surprised the free entry Pilgrims Museum didn't get a mention, so I'll recommend it 😉. Great video and thanks!!
This looks AMAZING! Thanks for sharing your experiences. We are planning a trip to Santiago de Compostela for October. I am most excited about the secret nun cookies. They looked delicious and there is something magical about them! May I ask how much the cookies were? ❤
Cool overview, you should be paid by the Ministry of Tourism for your incredible videos about the region. You are my reference for any information about Galicia! 😊
I love the video. I’m planning to go there in the end of August by the Camino português Can you tell me what are my options the way back to Porto city please Gratitude
Could you please write the names of the bars you recommend? Just by the name from the movie, without knowing how to spell their name, it's hard to find them.
@@DaysWeSpend Oh, you got everything covered. Great video. Just one more suggestion as a spaniard. NIce and secluded, with occasional live music Bar Camalea an der Praza de San Martiño.
@@DaysWeSpend Dude you aren't missing a thing over here in America, you know what they've done to Real Estate prices over here the last 3 years, it's obscene, and the property taxes go right up along with it. Food costs, Medical costs, Housing costs, insurance cost, all out of control and nobody in the government doing a thing about it other than raising interest rates. Do yourselves a favor and stay in Spain, America is pretty much toast. Hope this helps.
We were in Santiago on Friday night, in time for the mass. Packed house, can only imagine it as the weather improves. We looked out for you guys in Orense yesterday ...where were you 🧐🤣. Beautiful town 🤩 .

Hermanos australianos: habréis comprobado que en la hermosa Galicia sobran algunos eucaliptos. Un saludo de un gallego que ama su tierra. Gracias.

Santiago de Compostela is capital de Galicia. No se os olvide.
el rio sarela es mas bonito hacia abajo. Desde donde empezais pero en la otra dirección.
pero el resto está todo bien xD
igual el parque de "vista alegre"
y "parque granxa do xesto"
Gracias por tus sugerencias. 😍
So are you guys going to become Spanish citizens or are you coming back to this mess hanging off the butt of Canada?
We aren’t sure yet! But we love it here.

@@BillySBC The cost of living is rising in Spain, too. It's less of an issue for us but locals are really feeling the price creep.
