Awesome vehicle. Probably the ultimate turnkey SUV for anywhere. I’d take the TRD OFF-ROAD with the KDSS system and no sunroof but the PRO is still super cool. Looking forward to the off-road video EA. I’m a big fan of analog, and the 4Runner lights up inside like being in a aircraft at night especially with the overhead console. 👍EA
Thanks for commenting Paul! I've never tested the TRD off-road, but KDSS is an awesome system. I'm not sure why it doesn't come on the Pro, but maybe it limits wheel travel. I know the system actually provides for more wheel travel than the normal version, however does it have a limit that's too hard to overcome?
@@EngineAdventures TRD Pro is a cash-cow marketing package... when searching for a "has it all" offroad Toyota we quickly realized what the trd pro does NOT have.. it's how we ended up with a GX460.... originally we wanted the Pro, but then we read the specs....
@@LexusGX460-OFF-ROAD so now I have to ask, what drove you to the GX? V8? 6 speed auto? Luxury interior? Possibly better build quality? Larger interior?

Love everything about the 4Runner, except this color. Had a 2000 4Runner in jade mica metallic. Beautiful deep emerald green. Where did all those shades of green go?
They do have an army green now. I like to play what if and think of what colors I would choose. I'm not sure I'm a big fan of any of the current Toyota factory colors, but I don't mind this one.
TRD Pro is definitely made for solid non-metallic paints imo. I like them all except the new ones. 😂 2015: Inferno 2016: Quicksand 2017: Cement 2018: Cavalry Blue 2019: Voodoo Blue 2020: Army Green I love all of these so much, but from there it all kinda goes downhill. Lunar Rock is totally meh and is already featured on any RAV4 and the mixed lineup colors which apparently happened because of supply chain issues are all terrible. Not a huge fan of solar octane either.
@@imnotusingmyrealname4566 love that green Genesis uses. I’m not a fan of the new matte type or non-metallic paints. To me it just appears like a primer paint. Especially in gray. I do like the army green Toyota color.
Not overly so, the camera tends to pick it up a bit better. The Grand Cherokee and GX460 are certainly have quieter interiors, but the 4Runner isn't bad.
I noticed that engine cover too. Weird that it’s offset. Like many others, not a fan of the color, which I’m sure you had a choice of. ;) The color looks like it should belong on a Bug or Kia Soul.
I removed my Pro roof rack. It's a bit of a chore, but a much cleaner look and a few tenths of a gallon MPG benefit. It seems like the cameras are worse for '22 and later - my '21 camera (backup only, I don't have 360) is a better quality image.
Everyone is hating on the color, I don't mind it. I think my preference is skewed though because of the number of vehicles I go through and the grayscale colors they normally come in.
Looks like fresh cut new grass green. I just picked up one, If getting a TRD Pro might as well get them special color. I also don’t like white Black or Red. But it would be a boring world if we drove the same color.
@@EngineAdventures that's good to know, every video I see on them they look terrible. I don't know why Toyota doesn't just put a better camera and screen on their top unit.

Awesome, thanks for sharing!
I can't wait for you to get a hold of the NEW Sequoia 👍
Same here!
lovely green color
It is quite polarizing!

Genesis has some really amazing colors including deep rich greens and even frozen effect metallic versions of many.

I actually like the matte stuff, but I can see how the gray looks like a primer.
Is there a lot cabin noise? I heard a lot while highway driving.

Kia Soul fits it perfectly. 🤣
I take anything I get, even if it is in a color that belongs on a Kia Soul!
I did not like it either but its growing on me

Thanks for sharing your experience, the factory rack certainly isn't my favorite.
nice intro!
Thanks! it takes more work, but I like having a sort of highlight reel to start the videos out.
They apparently only chose this color because of supply issues. Then it makes sense that it's my absolute least favorite color.

@@EngineAdventures Yeah I love the color.
The cameras are so bad it's almost an insult. If Toyota is going to put that little effort in just skip it and drop the price by $50
They do help when parking close to other cars and in parking garages, but not much for off-roading.

Love this truck, it's my favorite truck out there! But that color is the ugliest ever
Haha thanks for sharing! Not many people seem to like this color, I don't hate it. Most of my coworkers commented on how ugly it was as well.
