As someone with even a slight knowledge of how the DrakenNieR universe works (with more knowledge about Automata than the rest) I’m gonna have to oppose you on this one. Popola and Devola, for example, have a sad backstory in Automata with them suffering for their NieR counterparts’ actions. Emil found himself fighting a war against countless foes for friends who no longer lived. Mikhail had to kill his best friend. DrakenNieR is filled with messed up stories.
If I could jump into the Nier world for just a few moments, it'd probably be to talk to Simone. She thinks she needs to become more beautiful, but she already was beautiful. She just didn't see that for herself.
I am still just absolutely floored. Carl, Uprising, your voices blend so well it almost feels like they combine into one being, it's perfect. The art is fantastic, and the bit of animation just takes it a level higher. The editing and mixing are fantastic as always, they really help do justice to this. Just in awe of it all 💖
Damn, this cover makes me wish to see a Nier Musical. Like, the original OST was an absolute banger, but your take of it was spot on! The mixing was flawless, and the art and animation are a great addition. This is truly amazing and it's, indeed, "A Beautiful Song"!

It’s very good. The main gameplay is solid (it’s platinum games), but the main qualities of the game are it’s story, themes, music and gameplay variety. Be really careful of spoilers though, as they can really destroy the experience (since the story plays such a central role). I cannot recommend it enough since it really fit my tastes and I hope it will fit yours too.

Her story is pretty dark but it’s far from being the saddest in the series.
I find Emil’s story to be even more tragic on so many levels.
