For what it is, this car is greatly under-looked and by far one of the best looking sedans. Just recently picked up a WDP 2008 Type-S for a first car and it is just amazing. Tight steering and pretty good response. Amazing car.

I have a Diamond White with black two tone interior 2007 Acura Type-S with 41,000 miles and one 79 year old owner. No accidents and absolutely mint inside and out. The paint is like new and still smells like a new car inside. All stock and everything works perfect! VTEC is awesome paddles feel really nice but I never really use. I picked up an immaculate condition '07 Type S in white with just 58k miles, single owner during the freaking pandemic. Owner was an obsessive guy, seems like taking the car to Acura dealer for service is his favorite past time - I've yet to find a single flaw. Definitely used up all automotive luck I have with this steal. Truly is one of the best and most beautiful sedan ever made.
No doubt that this TL is the best TL ever made~ I mean 70,000 units sold back between 2004-2006, making it the best selling luxury sport sedan, beating out the BMW 3 Series, Mercedes C-Class, Infinit G, Lexus IS, Audi A4/S4, I mean it beat all of them, which is nuts. Acura hit a home run with this car, design and engineering wise.
07 Silver TLS owner as well, same color, grey/black two tone interior though. I'll love the car forever man. The one being reviewed here obviously has a base 07/08 bumper, fog light area is the giveaway for those that don't know. On the actual TLS bumper, the fog light hole design area is angled inward.

After I saw this review about 6months ago I went on the hunt and the angel on my shoulder said “I got you fam” lol a friend of mine was actually selling and 2007 Type S. Its a 5AT but with only 81,000 miles and it being dealer maintained its whole life, I pulled the trigger and bought it. I don’t regret it one bit. Completely stock too and not beat up like most other daily driven Type S TL you see on the road nowadays.
I have a CBP 2008 TL Type S 6 speed. I will never sell it. I wanted one for years before I found one with the manual, and now that I have it, I realized it lived up to every expectation.

Doesn't matter if it's the normal TL or the TL Type S, this TL is one of the top Acura vehicles that has ever been made. It's a shame that Acura lost their mojo after this car, because they clearly knew what they were doing in terms of design language back then. I mean this was the car to get over the BMW 3 series, the Lexus IS, and the Infiniti G at this time. This is the Type S that we're missing today from Acura.
I have this model, only base with navigation, but, I swear anytime, I drive something else newer or supposedly better, I end up missing my car, it’s so sexy and fun to drive.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ I love the old stuff compared to the new ones BS!
I just got this car (one owner, completely clean & still in pristine condition with 152k miles on it) and I love it so much, my only complaint is that she's bad on gas mileage. Especially with how expensive gas is now, and you can only put premium in. Other than that, beautiful car and she sounds amazing on the road
Yes, every angle is perfect on this car. I have a 2008 Manual with the A-Spec Body Kit One of the most beautiful body, and like you said, what happen to manufacturers
Just discovered your videos (cause I'm in the market for a TS 6 speed and MAN I'M HOOKED!!!! Great content! I've watched the ZDX and RL just from looking for a TL video. Headed down the rabbit hole! Keep up the great work!
Still a beauty in 2024 , as we’re seeing with even Honda/ Acura products in the last 7-8 years , the recalls are just growing. I grabbed a 2015 Accord Coupe 6-6 to avoid all these new Turbo changes and I love the N/A V6 , the sound and the performance and reliability . I mean I see these Acura Legend Coupes with the small grills but their just beautiful rare cars, I like the look of these cars better then the new Accord. This S-Type is another one , if you can find one that’s been well looked after , it’s a beauty and styled really well especially for its age.
Great review. I love this car and I drive it daily. Haven't done the cai/exhaust yet. Tinted the windows, upgraded the stereo system. It hides the torque steer well, hugs every corner, motor pulls hard, luxurious, practical, reliable. 👍
2007 type s w/ 88k miles??? I cant find one in California with under 150k miles.. Amazing looking car. 2020 and i would still pick it over any modern sedan
Finally a Type S but it has a base front bumper lol. the 3G TL is a timeless design, I like these so much that I own all the trims and transmission. Somehow I end up with two rarest color of the Type S offered, one 5 AT and other one are 6MT.
04-08 TL manual cause of auto issuea best affordable sedan ever built period !!!! 10 yrs ownership sunny summer days only 😎 will last my whole life and my b7 rs4 2 sedans rare and dope will be mine forever ❤ these 2 sedans best :-) Great video bro U are a smart boy 👦 G.J
Looking between this car and a Lexus ES 350 (same year) Looking more at this one as its slightly more affordable and sportier. Thanks for making these videos.
Bro you’re NOT supposed to turn the wheel at all when the car is parked, that puts immense strain on the steering pump and wears it out that’s the noise you keep hearing 😂. Only turn the steering wheel when the tires are moving! Another pro tip always use e-brake when parking even with automatics. I’m still on the original auto transmission on my 06’ base TL w/ 399,xxx miles and am convinced it’s solely due to my religious usage of the ebrake. After 15 years of driving the base I just bought an 07 Type S manual and holy heck what an upgrade! Great review sir!
Im on my 2nd TL 2006 & 2007 BUT BOTH ONLY 3.2 LOOKING IN TO GETTING A TYPE S Eventually but this is my favorite car got the best look in books, only down fall with them is the dash board cracks and the seats get rips in them but other then that its a all around great car;the ride is smooth 👌🏿
I’m sitting in a 2006 TL with the 3.2 Manual 6 speed. When you said you can’t get a manual transmission in a 2007, 2008 are you talking about how rare they are? My 2006 was specially ordered with the loaded package. I’m the second owner. My TL has 170,000 miles but still runs great & books for well over 6 grand. I love this car & want to invest more into it instead of getting a newer car. Like you I fell in love with the body style of the car. Once I drove the car I completely fell in love with the car. These cars are sports luxury sedans. If you want a smooth ride with less handling & speed get a Lexus.
Yes please do the informative video of the TYPE S ... I’m trying to buy 1 in the next few months ... I’m stuck between the 08 TL Type S ... n The 2014 TL SH AWD W/ the Advance Package ...
That is so clean! Same year and model as mine, expect mine has almost 250,000 kms now and has been up and down the entire west coast of North America. Mine is definitely not in the best cosmetic shape (rock dings and paint scratches all over from brutal Canadian winters and gravel roads to cabins and hikes) but mechanically solid. Wish it was a manual sometimes, or in Kinetic Blue Pearl.
I have the 2005 base automatic. Only thing I don't like is the cracked dashboard. It's got tall gears so you have to rev pretty high to get it moving quickly but I love it on the highway. Relaxed 80 mph driving.

I mean this was the car to get over the BMW 3 series, the Lexus IS, and the Infiniti G at this time. This is the Type S that we're missing today from Acura.
I love my TL-S. It is perfection
I haven’t seen one in the road for a while now. This might be my next whip. It’s so clean dude.
Came across a tl under a customers tree. Picking it up today. 100 bucks. His problem is the Bluetooth parasitic drain. Im stoked
I have this model, only base with navigation, but, I swear anytime, I drive something else newer or supposedly better, I end up missing my car, it’s so sexy and fun to drive.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ I love the old stuff compared to the new ones BS!
These TLs are awesome for sure!
I put the type S wheels on my ‘05 6mt TL, my favorite wheels ever
Yea I've seen some people do that great mod!
I'd love to see an detailed video about the Type-S!
currently shopping around for one. best car ever...hands down!!
Haha Idk about best car ever but it is pretty nice for sure you would be very satisfied with it
Love your reviews! I live in Cary and and have an excellent condition low mileage 2014 TL-SHawd Advanced I would be happy to let you review.
Yeah man full technical analysis!
I have a '07, and love it!
I have a white 07 TLS and I love it so much. Excellent car
Remember this generation TL in the 6speed has horrendous torque steer! I’ve read how the automatic is preferred! I have an automatic and love it!
Also good to know!
I have a 2008 Manual with the A-Spec Body Kit
One of the most beautiful body, and like you said, what happen to manufacturers
Just discovered your videos (cause I'm in the market for a TS 6 speed and MAN I'M HOOKED!!!! Great content! I've watched the ZDX and RL just from looking for a TL video. Headed down the rabbit hole! Keep up the great work!
Hey thank you my friend I’m happy the content was valuable to you and best of luck with your purchase
vtec sounds so goooooood! nice review man
Thank you my friend!
That was one hell of a review 👍
Haha thank you my friend
Great review. I love this car and I drive it daily. Haven't done the cai/exhaust yet. Tinted the windows, upgraded the stereo system. It hides the torque steer well, hugs every corner, motor pulls hard, luxurious, practical, reliable. 👍
Nice great info!
Keep up the good work my friend .. been watching yo reviews almost a year now ..
Thanks so much for all your support Im humbled to have you here
Great video Kevin.
Just bought one for 11k and it has 111k miles . Idk much about these cars but sounds like I made a good choice
Wow finally please I know is 2022 but do it I loved the TL review but this is a classic review
2007 type s w/ 88k miles??? I cant find one in California with under 150k miles.. Amazing looking car. 2020 and i would still pick it over any modern sedan
I like how you try to do the intro savage geese style, keep up the good work
Haha I'm humbled you would compare me to Mr. Goose but I don't even have an intro 😆
Thanks so much Kev. This is on my list of cars to look into as my next ride.. I really like Honda alot I hope I can find one when I'm ready
It's a really cool car hard to find in good condition tho
@@MeynMotorGroup tell me about it
Finally a Type S but it has a base front bumper lol.
the 3G TL is a timeless design, I like these so much that I own all the trims and transmission. Somehow I end up with two rarest color of the Type S offered, one 5 AT and other one are 6MT.
Underrated comment. This is the first thing I noticed
bought this same car, color combo new in late 06. was a great car. held it value really well too.
Ive got an 07 type S. Right at 270k miles. Still enjoying it.
how is maintenance like on them?
Love your channel!
Thank you my friend!
@@MeynMotorGroup Your channel is getting better and better!
Humbled by that thanks!
Looking at one with 230k I’d buy in a heartbeat but that high of a mileage is holding me back
Did you get it?
As long as taken care of, mileage shouldn’t be a problem bro, go get that tl max!
I have a 2004 Acura tl and it lasts forever I’ve had it almost 9 years and it’s in great shape and it lasts me forever
Great review sir!
after 2008 Acura lost the magic on these cars with the new designs
Great review📝
Please do a full in depth. I have this same car in red. Thanks man great video
That's awesome my friend I may come around to doing that vid!
@@MeynMotorGroup thanks man looking forward to it
Only reason I didn’t by a TL is because the dashboard has a cracking problem so I bought a 2006TSX instead do a review on the TSX please
I'll try to!
Exhaust Sports Auto ok respect
@@caponecollin dat common issue but i got 2007 Acura tl still 💘 her 😆 and also seat
If you want a smooth ride with less handling & speed get a Lexus.
used to own a 2000 TL 3.2...might try to get a 2008 TL type S soon
Yes please do the informative video of the TYPE S ... I’m trying to buy 1 in the next few months ... I’m stuck between the 08 TL Type S ... n The 2014 TL SH AWD W/ the Advance Package ...
The gearbox in the type S is pretty dated and it’ll take a lil bit to get used to but it’s so much fun when u get the hang of it
May do it
Revs sound great
Haha glad you liked it but it honestly sounded terrible in person
08 TLS owner here and I would love an extended video or even technical written essay of everything u know about the vehicle!! I’ll send u an email!
That's awesome thanks for sharing!
Hi, could you do a review of the 3.7l 305hp version? Thanks a lot
If I can find one!
Can you do a 07/08 acura rl review. I have a 2006 black fully loaded rl and the car is awesome 😎 people always mistaken it for a Mercedes lol
If I can find one 😆
I own both a 07 base and type s so I would like to see the full dedicated video on the car. I wouldn’t mind that at all
I'll try to make that happen my friend and that's awesome you have both great cars
I have the 2005 base automatic. Only thing I don't like is the cracked dashboard. It's got tall gears so you have to rev pretty high to get it moving quickly but I love it on the highway. Relaxed 80 mph driving.
Hey thanks for stopping by and sharing!
I had the 2004 TL. I was pretty sad when I broke down. I’m hoping to come across an engine for.
