1:48 and thus, a legend was born.
Nice to see they made the effort on Day one to get the night simulcast on the hour!
Something rarely achieved since, with mainly crashing into whatever is on air at the time!
The first time with no anthem closedown and instead this so too.
Man everything is so bright.
Recorded on Sunday 9th November 1997 into the early hours of Monday 10th November 1997.

21 years. It's been 21 years since the conception of BBC News 24.
It's also been 21 years since Princess Diana died in a car crash in Paris, France.
@@debbieparkes3588 now 23 or 24. how 24
I didn't like the way BBC One used to hand over to BBC News 24 because the continuity announcers didn't say goodnight to viewers, if only they said, And that's just about it for tonight on BBC One, don't forget that BBC News 24 and BBC Radio 5 Live stay on the air throughout the night with the latest top stories from around the globe, but on behalf of all of us here at Television Centre in London have a safe and peaceful night, Goodnight. That's what I would say. Same for BBC Two the announcers didn't need to say here's some pages from ceefax, they should've just said from all of us here have a very goodnight and then go to pages from ceefax.
BBC News 24 now BBC News
Oooh, they got it spot on!

technically, Monday 10th November.
They Should retain the National Anthem before the Handover to News 24
Just like how BBC Radio 4 does (National anthem then Handover to World Service)

Three months after Princess Diana died, BBC News 24 began showing on BBC One for the first time ever.
Debbie Parkes That’s not really something to comment about, but you do you, Debbie.
w-w-what?
In November 1997, BBC News 24 began showing on BBC television for the first time ever when Queen Elsa of Arendelle was two years old.

In 1997, BBC News 24 began showing on BBC television for the first time ever. A newborn Elsa was excited because BBC News is now having her as its first welcome for her. BBC News 24 invited Elsa to join them for the first time ever as Elsa's special treat. Elsa was little indeed.
UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
From midnight on Sunday 9th November 1997, BBC One joined BBC News 24 for its first time on BBC television and BBC News 24 began 20 years ago. I never saw the first time BBC One joining BBC News 24 from 20 years ago before. Neither did my daughters, and Anna and Elsa.

For the first time ever on BBC television, the Frozen Fever sisters, Elsa and Anna, join BBC One with BBC News 24. The sisters decided to pop over to BBC News 24 and meet new friends. These Frozen Fever sisters of Arendelle loved this video very much because they are sisters.

space doggo,
Elsa is a 21-year-old snow queen of Arendelle who has ice powers.
This person is a troll.
Mark Jones,
Elsa is not a troll. She is a real person.
