I’m at a loss for words, I was trying to add “Kill Shot” to your Hunter WA and like hell I could figure it out. This is exactly what I need. I was however, able to add audio queues when my beast cleave/barbed shot are down to 2 seconds. Quite happy about that! But adding a Kill Shot aura, nah! Couldn’t get it to load with the group.

Great overview and picked up a few new tricks. One in particular I didn't realize you could set focus with a mouseover. Works awesome. Thx again!

I really enjoyed this guide, but wish you showed more examples of how to use weakauras with on a customized version, like showing how to identify a specific debuff on raid frames that you want to dispel, or cleanse. I’d love to be able to see how that’s done. Example being, show on the blizzard raid frames when a member has a debuff by using a glow border around the raid frame.

I'm just getting into making more advanced weakauras for my group I play with, and this has been a fantastic resource that came just in time! Thank you so much!
I know it may be a lot to ask, but do you have any knowledge, or could you point me in the direction of some, on entry level custom lua functions for WAs? I'm moderately knowledgeable in terms of programming and development, but Im very new to LUA and the way that CLEU events are used for their information, and how to pass that information dynamically between a custom CLEU trigger and the Dynamic (%c) text option in an icon for example.
Regardless of what you can do in regards to my question thank you SO MUCH for everything you do for the community.

I've been using WeakAuras for 3-4 years now and it's great; however, I still am not sure which "Lock Positions" visual representation means the positions are locked vs unlocked. Are the positions locked when the "Lock Positions" text is highlighted or un-highlighted?

This is an amazing into to WA; I'm definitely going to send it to my friends who keep asking me for help with it.
Do you have any good resources for more advanced topics? I'd like to learn more about the WA/WoW Lua API and how to script in WA. Additionally, I want to learn how to do things like having a WA appear on a specific party member's raid frame when a condition is met (without having to just make 25 auras and manually position them all to align with the corresponding unit).

Is there a way for the WA rotation to display the key bindings associated with each spell? I've tried to figure it out on my own and couldn't do it. I'm currently using Hekili, and would love to drop it and use the WA rotation. Thanks!
thanks for the kind words, unfortunately - weakaura keybinds are not possible, unless you manually put a text field over each weakaura (it can be done, but is time consuming)

Awesome content as always brother. I tell everyone I can about you. Wondering one thing, when I’m in mythics, big wigs blocks your WAs on certain events. How do you keep that stuff off your screen? Thank you so much for all you do!
ah so what you should do, is move your bigwigs anchor (: if you look at my UI videos, my bigwigs anchor are basically anchored above my target frames, so they dont ever intersect with my weakaura.
or you can also move the weakaura group away from the bigwigs elements (:

Fantastic video. though, please help: sorry if i missed this, but I cannot find ANYWHERE on the internet or in this video how to create a combo point style bar. On my warlock i want this style bar for "dimensional rift", the season 3 tier is forcing us to use. i tried copying and adjusting the spell and everything from my monk's ui chi point WA. didn't work.

ah i got a solution for you - download my Warrior WeakAura pack for Dragonflight - check PROT section for ignore pain, note the custom code I use under Text field for Ignore Pain shield value.

Yo thank you firstly. Check timestamp for the bit under display text strings - but in short you need to create a text field for %S - that tracks stacks rather than progress (timer)
You can also check the timestamp at the end where I build my ui - check how I add stacks for shied block

Is it possible to have a spell to glow when you try to press? Just like action buttons. (So I can visible know which spell did I just tried to cast)
If i ve something like shield block or riptide which can have two stacks and i wanna show the cooldown of both in two bars.. like ur shield block in ur warri interface. How does that work? I only get one bar -.-

The swing timer for warrior is wrong for SoD (it resets on slam, but actually instant cast slams currently don't affect weapon swings). I would like to just edit that part of the code directly - but I don't seem to have the nice ingame code editor to do it directly. I have seen people (or even you) use it, but I can't find it. (or I'm too stupid to find it).

Is it possible to create a custom trigger that takes target orientation into account? Let's say for a rogue or feral that are behind their target and want to use Shred or Ambush.
I have been using your DH Weakaura UI and it's great, however I'm trying to adjust it but can't figure out how. I want the cooldown/power/buffs tracking to only display if I am either in combat OR have a target. So my UI is clean and empty when I'm out of combat, but when in combat or targeting something I can still track everything. I can do this with triggers for a normal WA but cannot figure out how to do it to a group without ruining the WA. Any advice? Btw your WA work is insanely good, thanks for doing what you do

Hi Q! I have a question that I didn't see addressed in your video. I love WA and customize them, but sometimes I find my elements don't sit on top of the bars like I intended. Ex is I put in a counter of combo points for rogue that sits on top of the combo bar, but sometimes, when it loads, it loads behind it, so it's partially obsured. In things like powerpoint you can move elements "backward" to keep your other icons always visible, but I don't see that in the WA. Is there such a command as "move to the front" or back? Thanks!!

I got a question: how do I make a weak aura for tracking the total number of Atonements out and have it dynamic where it's constantly updating itself? Like if I wanted to know how many, in total, I have out. I have a weakaura set up, it's just not actively tracking them dynamically, and the number isn't updating. It just keeps showing 1 or 0 in it, and I've done Unit Counts, Match Counts, Auto-Clone options and even at some point tried all 3 under Triggers tab. I just wanna see how many total Atonements I have out for like raid or bgs, and see it updating dynamically to where if 1 falls off or I add another Atonement in, it updates itself.

I have progress bars underneath my icons for my totems to track their duration instead of the icon itself which I have set just to display throughout a totem's activity. The problem I'm running into is that the progress bar only triggers when I use the Rank 1 version of each totem. I have the trigger set up as Spell - Totem - (Totem Name). Using the Spell ID of higher rank totem spells doesn't seem to solve the issue. In the display tab for added text I use %p for progress. When I have WA tab opened it shows the progress bar working as intended, but it does not trigger unless I use the rank 1 version. Any suggestions?
Also, My Icons for my totems that are not triggered by an aura do not trigger unless I use the rank 1 version. These icons (fire totems) do not trigger unless I use the rank 1 version. These have triggers set up as Spell - Totem - (Totem Name). My icons for aura triggered totems (Strength of Earth/Stoneskin/Mana Spring/Healing Stream) trigger no what rank of the corresponding totem I cast.
why come when i make an icon and pick the spell it shows up as a different spell?
