  • The board president said 20 people within the district were already licensed to be an interim superintendent and two were on a sort of short list to be named as the new leader even if for a brief period. She also acknowledged that Wright's resignation would impact ongoing budget cuts to make up for a multi-million dollar budget shortfall. She said additional cuts than originally expected would be needed and 'the kind of cuts that are needed probably have to be within the personnel range.'

Hilarious DEI saga. She will still get bags of undeserved money and the schools as usual will ask for more money.

You'd think that based off the reporting. The truth is she was brought in because they thought she'd toe the line as others had in the past. She came in and started holding the upper management of CPS, who had just been collecting paychecks, to account. That's the reason they voted her out. She was disrupting dozens of non-working employees and making them do their jobs. The next hire will be a local employee to ensure no work need be done. You were right about her getting her contract paid out though. She'll get that money even though CPS was already in fiscal emergency. If journalism wasn't dead the news would have done some digging into this story and gotten the real story.

@@siberwolf33 Oh, that would have been even better! Thanks for that info!!! Very sad though because this is likely the case all through the country.

@2532robh1 They've now announced the new superintendent, and it's a long time local they can trust to do nothing. See how that works?

Typical...This is what happens when people get positions based on color and sex and not Skills and experience...
