The dreadnought is back boys
Oh, and to answer your question, IH contemptor has been out of production for a while, I emailed FW and they did the "yeah, nah, maybe, check back later response"
bradintazz I got the same response for other products - When is going to be back in stock, if it is gonna be back
- IDK man
bradintazz when I was down warhammer world mid February, I spoke to the forge world staff and they said the mould for the dreadnought was broken and was being repaired, they decided to remove it from the website for now rather than keep it listed as out of stock
My sons Iron Father, with cyber familiar and his gorgon bodyguard managed to hold off my red butchers for a few turns, and end of the last turn, the Iron father was still standing with one wound. Incredibly resilient character. Or if you like, you can take the model, swap out the arms for the ones on the cataphractii praetor, and you've got Autek Mor
Haha, I make him do chores etc round the house and he builds up "points" for units that I then get. My wallet hates building two HH armies lol, but it's a pretty great bonding experience
bradintazz My Imperial Fists terminators with storm shields and Alexis Pollux attached can take on the gorgons.
I know of a place that you can still get an Iron Hands Contemptor Dreadnought at
So do I....
Best episode yet mate, completely unbiased viewpoint here.
Glad to see you talking about the use of Gravition weapons in an Iron Hands legion force as it is a great way of disrupting fast moving enemy units to slow them down giving you lots of opportunity to out shoot them and, when playing Head of The Gorgon, give your flanking armour time to make an entry. With that rite of war a small Tactical Support Squad armed with graviton guns can cause all sorts of mischief.
I asked about the Iron Hands Contemptor at the Horus Heresy Weekender and neither Tony Cottrell or Will Hayes knew what had happened to it... maybe the production team has damaged the master? Hayes did then also let slip that, and I quote, “More Contemptors are on the way”. Are we getting a second generation of legion specific contemptors I wonder?
leakycheese I hope they finish of the legions without, before redoing the dated ones. I know TS got a new one, but my angels are craving one aswell!
Holding tactics are a must-do in the bigger games of heresy where you simply cannot deal with all the threats at once. Graviton Rapiers are one of my key go-to units for that.
CLOROX BLEACH Hi mate, I’d put good money on the Blood Angels getting a Contemptor soon.... probably to tie in with a release of Book Eight in Q3 of this year, maybe at the Warhammer 40,000 Open Weekend in November?
On a similar note, I'm curious about the disappearance of the Magos with Rad-Cleanser as, compared to Draykavac, it was (I think) close to half the price and a cooler HQ to boot imo, but it is just gone, not there and I couldn't find any mention of this disappearance online, like it just up and vanished. I wonder if I just missed a "Last Chance to Buy". Bummer if so.
I started watching this series today, and was upset at no iron hands. And now this... it's a conspiracy to get me into 30K...
Darkfist007 he does it by legion number, still waiting for the thousand sons here.
Nah fam, 40k is a concpiracy to get people into 30k
I’d really like to see you do updates to these army building videos. Making the necessary adjustments based on the faq and rules update, and then expanding the army to include some Super Heavies (Glaive etc). I love revisiting these vids
Almost model to model the army that I use, primary difference is that I have Ferrus, more terminators, some 90's rhinos, sicaran and heavily reposed rigor mortis dreadnought with extreme dynamic pose.
Many thanks for this video. I'm about to head down the Heresy rabbit hole and was leaning towards Iron Hands.
Good to see The Iron Tenth
FLESH IS WEAK!
I think the reason the IH Dread isn't available, may have something to do with the
Astraeus Super-heavy Tank.
Gotta promote dem new 40K spesh marines!
If I ever get into HH I am going for Iron Warriors ! ! !
R.i.P ferris manus
99£ for 3 turrets... Thank God for China casters!
Awesome video. Do you have to keep the axes/bolters with the Gorgon Terminators or, if not, do you recommend another loadout?
Thunder Hammers are a viable option, maybe not on everyone, but then, why not?
Hey Mac did you see Clan Brannsar? For some reason it doesn't show up in the Iron Hands Listings on the website but search for "clan" it's the only thing that comes up. Value wise only 20 pound cheaper than buying them individually.
funnily enough they are on Iron Warriors tab of listing :D
Yeah, it's pretty funny. Problem with Clan Brannsar is you won't use it all in this list, so it's kinda a waste.
What would you suggest as a cyber familiar?
*sees nuncio vox marine*
Hello new Master of Signals!
Instead of the graviton cannon, wouldn't it be cheaper to use a support squad with graviton guns?
Well, a set of Graviton canons give you a 36" threat bubble, and a large blast. As tactical support are not relentless and graviton is blast they cannot move and fire, so you only have an 18" threat bubble, which is rather pathetic when you're trying to disrupt enemies.
What about the transports for the troops?
why no sicaran tanks?
Why a Spartan and Alpha Land Raider? Shouldn't IH spend those points on more artillery and pew-pew and avoid getting close for close combat. I am a newbie so want to understand how to use these transports.
Well, the Spartan allows squads of up to 12 terminators to be transported. Don't underestimate this, as a Forge Lord and Gorgons are incredibly strong jumping out (it is an assault vehicle) and will have the benefit of rad grenades quite possibly as well! (-1 toughness to your enemy unit in the first round of any combat) Iron Hands are actually very strong in melee, the Forge Father HQ is a praetor upgrade, and with a Paragon Blade, Chainfist, Servo Arm, Cyber Familiar, Rad, Cataphractii and Digital Lasers, is one of THE scariest challengers. WHY? 4 attacks base, +1 for 2 specialist weapons, +1 for Digital Lasers and also the Servo Arm. So 7 attacks every turn at weapons skill 6, and you can decide if 6 are ap2 at initiative or double strength and armourbane at initiative 1. Also, he repairs the Spartan as they go, negating the rare damage it will receive.
The Achillies Alpha on the other hand is a Land Raider which only seats 6, BUT makes up for it with a Quad-Mortar (4 shots, small blast, the phosphex rounds are considered broken levels of strong) and has either the multi-meltas for anti-tank or the volkite Culverins for ridiculous and long ranged anti-infantry, at 8 shots strength 6 ap5 twin-linked with each wound suffered causing an additional hit with the weapon's profile.
Trust me, both units are strong, and they have the firepower to really hurt their enemies before finally being better than most in actual assaults!
The Outer Circle makes sense. Who to put in the land raider then? Our is it that good that this capability can be ignored?
It's up to you. You could just put a Forge Lord in there for instance, maybe with 4 servitors with rad missile launchers.... a very nasty unit.
What's the next legion?
Take a guess.
The bloody XIIth 😄
The Outer Circle Space Wolves that you skipped?
would sicaran venators be a good substitute for the laser destroyer
In smaller points, yes, in the larger ones, well, hard to say, as you cannot take it in a squadron, and you want Castraman Orth, but do you take him in the Sicaran Venator or do you put him in something like a Falchion?
Iron Warriors next?
Dantioch they were done a few weeks ago.
Alpha Legion??????
Blood Darkness Only if you add more question marks.
