Scammers have been instructing people to get cash out of their banks and visit a bitcoin atm.
I spent a few hours with a guy claiming to be from the government and he loses his mind after realizing he isn't going to get any of the money! The btc atm he sent me to included a warning message about scams which resulted in chaos. - Приколы

He did!. He was in target hiding in the bathroom hiding from security because the IRS was on the phone. At the end the guy said just take him to jail!!!

@MultiChrisjb My hunch is that, all these scammers follow a "call script" like a robot follows its "program". I think it's quite fitting.

Their entitlement is real. These subhumans think they are owed your money.
@Anne Frank Vape Pen Your username is wild - is there a story behind it?
I love it that Kit uses the same thing against them! They are given a script to follow, and he talks over them. Scammers don't usually improvise very well, and if you can interrupt and mess with their script, it infuriates them! 😡💢
"SSN fraud... Hey, that's us!" and yet he just keeps trying. A real sunk-cost fallacy he's got going on, there.

These people that are not smart/lucky enough to get jobs in software are sooooo desperate for employment that they'll do anything, and customer service scams are where the money is. They're not trying to be jerks. They're trying to earn a living. The people that employ them are jerks.
Reading the scam warnings on the atm machine for a second time as if it was the first time reading it was genius lol

The funniest part to me was when he was reading through the first time for so long only to be like “click on accept? Oh okay”
I love how the basis for a lot of these scams are "we investigated and found you are a victim but we are still going to prosecute you with the crimes someone else committed unless you pay us money"
I mean, sounds like the United States to me 😅
Sounds like Civil Asset Forfeiture to me. (Lots of interesting videos on that topic.)

Its probably how he learned it from indian officials. He has bo other example
@@abbycantrell1369 Except legit investigations would have a paper trail. Warrants, notices, etc. Not just a random voice on the phone issuing threats. I lost it when he downloaded a coin flipper app 🤣

It illustrates how evil these people are that, after getting confronted, that scammer was right back at it the next day.

To be fair, anything you do in exchange for money is survival. Humans will do whatever it takes to survive. Kill, steal, scam others, humiliate oneself, crash the economy, poison the planet, etc. If don't have food and housing, you got nothing to lose. All things considered, scammers do less damage overall than most occupations.
It's only when work stops being coercive that it can be ethical. The only way to be 0% evil is to be NEET. Everyone deserves the right to not work, something which could be achieved with a UBI.

@@markmorenault765 that’s a result of an agency using a dialer. Pro tips; don’t call the numbers back as that will opt you back in. Elderly folks are more accustomed to returning phone calls. If you don’t know the number, don’t call it back. If you answer one of these calls ask to be placed on their do not call list. That will pull your number from that specific agency’s dialer, keep in mind there are 1,000’s of agencies so doing this once or twice won’t do jack shit. If you are a person that says “my number is on the do not call list” your do not call list and their do not call list are two separate things. You potentially could have opted into this through a myriad of sources, accepting terms of service and not being aware of it. Parts A is granted via 40 quarters of full time work, part B would be what you opted into initially. Part C would be advantage plans which supersede your a and b and you’re bound to the terms of the part C. These are what all the commercials are about. They are enticing because they say “0$” and you get some dental, vision and hearing benefits. Regardless of choosing a part C or not you will always pay your part B premium out of your social. Some part C’s have a give back benefit to reduce your B costs, but be aware Medicare is done by zip code and they have a finite amount of $ to build these plans, thus any money given back will reduce the efficacy of the part C. Part C’s are basically cost plans, meaning you pay as you go. So you don’t pay monthly but you will incur charges as your medical situation declines. Always be aware of the “max out of pocket expense” that’s the reality in the event of catastrophe….Ideally if you can afford it a medigap supplement is the most comprehensive as it picks up anything parts a/b cover 80/20. Meaning without the medigap you would be paying the 20. (100k surgery Medicare A/B pays 80k you’re on the hook for 20k). Sorry other shitty/shady agencies bombarding you. My own mother is on Medicare and her name is Michelle and mine is Michael, we’re on the same cell phone plan so I, as her active agent field all the bullshit for her lol. Best of luck 🫡
