    If you have a battery that has a cell that’s too low the cheap simple lipo charger shown here will usually even the cells back out as well because it don’t have a sensor that tells it to not charge the battery like the others. Another plus for the cheapo charger!

      I could not get my Tenergy charger to work on a battery, so I plugged it into the cheap charger that came with it and it charged it enough that the Tenergy could read it, then I balance it.

    Thank you for your video I have the axle jeep Rubicon the 67C 10 and the deadbolt and I have successfully charge them with a charger that came with them it’s fast and gets it a good charge but educated myself on the importance of balance charge in the cells. So what I did was I saw the small charger for about 15 bucks I think I got it either eBay or Amazon and it’s a simple balance charger that’s the one that I keep at home in my workstation in my hobby room. The other ones I take with me so I can just charge them with the USB in the car. Cibellis charging important and not charging the light post if they’re already had a almost full charge not charging them hot or wet another words let them drive down and cool off so I carry a spare batteries with me when I go out and about with the 24s.

    I'm old school with Lipos, I've seen the smoke and fire !! I recommend anyone using the stock charger to upgrade. The B3 charger you show, however, is not an upgrade, IMO. It has been around for years as a RTR charger, and has a BAD rep. It is the stock charger for the Wizard quad from Bangood, and is well known to be less than reliable.
    That said, good video, the B6 clones , the Turginy line , etc, are all an upgrade for sure. I have nothing but ISDT for all my 2S + batteries, they are top shelf !!Really, keep them storaged charged until just before use, use , then storeage charge.

    • @2fmrc
      @2fmrc  3 года назад +1

      Totally agree. I never used that little cheap charger until I got the scx24. I got it with a truck on a trade and decided it was easy to use with the scx24 batts. I wouldn’t recommend it for any larger batteries though because I feel it definitely don’t balance as well as the others and you can’t do a storage charge with it. I’ve had great luck with it and the scx24 batteries so far but never know lol. I’ve seen too many fires to put my family at risk over my hobby so I definitely try to store them the best I can. If I was at work and something happened to start a fire and my family got hurt I couldn’t live with myself.

    Thanks very much for this! As an outsider that's looking to get in, I assume the included one is not the best, but good to know to just not use it.
    ?- So with that HTRC B3 charger, is it simple plug and play?
    ?- With the HTRC B3, does it go into storage mode once full charge is reached or should you unplug to store and just schedule top ups if your batt's are going to sit unused for a while?
    ?- How long can the batt's be left unplugged without doing damage?
    ?- Does the HTRC or any of these chargers charge more than one batt. at a time?
    ?- How long to charge a depleted 300mah/2s battery, on average?
    ?- If left to charge, is it best to have them sitting on a metal tray or inside an ammo type box, with holes for the charging leads to go in? Or should they be in the open to stay cooler?
    Sorry for all the questions. I'm starting from zero knowledge and want to learn before I go get my first SCX24.
    Thanks for taking the time to help!

    Not a criticism on you, but, it never made sense to me to keep multiple batteries in one fire bag. One battery fails and you lose the lot. I bought the cheap spektrum smart charger for my gravedigger battery and the adapter cable for charging my scx24 batteries with it. It works fine. To be honest though, I am one of the ones that have had no trouble out of my stock scx24 chargers. I have two and they both worked fine. I used them until I had a better system, i.e. the spektrum charger. To round out the kit I also plan to get the spektrum smart checker soon. Y'all have a badass day 🤘

      @@forrestcrabbe oh yeah I get your thinking for sure! I just have probably 40 batteries total with all of my 3s and 4s on top of the scx24 batts so I’d have too many ammo cans cause I don’t really trust the bags alone. Maybe with less batteries in them they’d be fine but idk? I haven’t had any blow on me so I guess I’m just gambling that they won’t. I guess if one does they all will 😂. Excuse to get new batteries I guess 🤷🏻‍♂️ lol. I hope neither of us have to find out! Thanks for the comment. I’m not the type to get all offended like that so no worries. • @drewpomerantz67
    @drewpomerantz67 3 года назад +1

    Only thing I’d like to add is that you should not remove the air tight seal on the ammo case because having that there will not allow a fire inside to breathe therefore extinguishing anything that sparks up. Same idea with placing a lid on a candle and the flame extinguishes itself because there is no oxygen for the fire to breathe.
