So, it will probably be a great game for purists and hardcore fans of hack-and-slash games. Boy they really went in depth, discussing a ton. One thing I noticed which is great, very little marketing scenes or pretty looking marketing gimmicks. As he was talking, he was literally showing gameplay of the actual elements of the game. Developers and game publishers should take note of that. Cinematics are cool too, like the intro but in terms of things to do in games, I think we gamers want to actually see what it looks like in the game rather than some cinematic of it that isn’t accurate for what the mechanic is like in game
I planned dinner, prepared dinner, cooked dinner, ate my dinner, washed the dishes sat back on the PC and this videos kept on giving more and more.. Truly a GGG delivery master piece..
To be fair, this was labeled as a "Beta consisting of almost the entire game" for years before VERY recently they quietly changed the branding to "Early Access."
@@dillydallyyyy well, based on history, it was planned just as an addition to the game which ended up to be a completely separate game and they gave clarification as well. If it would be just acts, it could be considered beta, but not all acts are there due to endgame requests. And for EA it is so far looks much better than LE, even if they reuse assets from PoE1 (which may or may not mean that all work for PoE1 recently was a basis for PoE2 anyway).
It's insane how much they've fixed or improved based on feedback. I've never seen a game company listen so completely to their fanbase before, not to mention all the improvements they made on their own. I keep saying "that's so much better now" over and over on everything, which is just crazy. GGG has absolutely become my most respected game company.

Reminder that T17s make most T16 100% deli full juiced builds unusable since they basically break your build and demand a huge amount of currency to fix the defense and offense so you can run them properly, while T16 strats gave less than a half of what T17s did.

I never played PoE 1 cuz of the look / GFX, the super fast pace, accessibility with controller & mostly, the screen clutter/density. I sure hope they slow the game down some & reduce the "clutter". Watching streamers on Twitch play the end game was so off putting for me that I never even considered playing. FYI, I am HUGE isometric / ARPG game fan. It always saddened me the asthetics of PoE1 were so repulsive to me given the fact that I love the theory crafting aspect of PoE. I can't wait to watch Asmongold play & to see how it goes. I really really hope they shy away from the exact PoE 1 formula & break into a bit more of the ARPG market. I know the PoE enthusiasts don't want to hear things like that but there was a reason PoE1 never hit GotY terrritory, it is a niche game, period. And sadly, too niche for me. Let's turn it around. The approach to difficulty is completely different. If you noticed there's more emphasis on using more skills, that change alone makes this a drastic change from one button purgatory.
For me, what amazes me about POE isn't just the gameplay and the skill tree. At 00:57:00, the background music perfectly sets the atmosphere for the boss's entrance, and most importantly, the voice actor's flawless performance gave me goosebumps. It reminded me of my first encounter with Uber Shaper and the chilling lines "putrefy, rot, spoil, and fester," along with Zana's desperate screams. Those moments are unforgettable for me.

Same age as my dad. My only worry is his reaction time. He's used to D4. Point and click till monsters are dead, and basically the entire game is a mathematical equation where big number equals good. This game requires more skill in the action to survive. He tried playing V Rising with us and was having a really hard times WASD while pointing to attack and knowing when to dodge and deflect. I really hope he can play PoE2 with us.
When that said 25 hours for A1-3 my jaw hit the floor. Infinite endgames, bringing back the auction house and mechanics we all know and love integrated into the new game. There are no words for this game. You just killed every other game in the genre for the next 10 years. The standard just got absolutely shattered. Lets see blizzard or and other studio compete with this. Bravo.

One thing that intimidated me with POE1 was the gem skills needing to be equipped in your gear. But now since skills are having its own thing and it's up to the player to socket what is possible seems so exciting to see!
Its what im struggling with now as a 50h player in PoE1, im supposed to have all these links but my RNG stinks so im stuck with weaker versions of my skills for now.
@@MrDoggson You get sockets by crafting. Its fairly easy to get the sockets. The only real hard one is the 6 link in the chest. But you can get away with 5 link and its not hard to get. After you have your amount of sockets...the real crafting start. You will need lots of mats AND luck to get exactly what you want. What i usually do, is craft my own gear except maybe 1 or 2 pieces. I just roll with what ever i get and i buy the stats i am missing for the last items.
I cant talk becauae we havent tried PoE2 yet...but the new system seems more complicated. There is a lot more gems involved. 6 for each skills. And you can only use 1 support gem of each name once per character. So youcant have a multiple projectile gem on 2 skills. This means that there are a lot more support gems, and it will ne harder to socket all of them. I also dislike the only 1 support gem per character... I was enjoying having my summoned skeleton have multiple projectile and also me using it. But everything seem to have been improved upon. So i am staying open and am getting ready to get my mind blown.

I usually only play fps game like Battlefield, COD. Diablo 4 was my first ARPG game. Seeing how the team presented PoE2 content I can see they are real passionated and and have deep care for the game. Definitely worth the wait.
Welcome to the genre! You're going to be blown away at just how much there is to do and just how deep the systems go (if it's even remotely close to PoE), when compared to D4. I like D4, don't get me wrong. But PoE makes D4 look like a child's game in comparison. PoE2 looks to be on par with that, mostly.
Removing the skill gem system from being slotted into gear completely removes the P2W aspect of POE1, which is a MAJOR move forward. This game is going to be incredible.

Is POE overwhelming for new players? Also i know its F2P, so i tend to avoid those games due they lock up important in game staff (storage etc) behind a pay wall that in the end cost a fortune. Does that game suffer from that?
@@marvikv2505 Well if you've never played an ARPG, POE2 is a great place to try and see if you like it or not. If you don't like ARPGs, you wont like any (obviously) It's hard to believe, but its not a scam Free to Play game. Quite the opposite. is it overwhelming for new players ? Yes, can't lie. BUT you should try it to see if you like to learn and optimize the game rules in your favor, or if it's not your type. TLDR : you like arpg ? you like putting point in talent trees ? You like killing monsters and looting on repeat and then upgrading your char to kill even more ? Welcome home mate
@@marvikv2505 Yes and Yes. But poe2 will be a lot easier for new players to learn, they've put a lot of effort into new player experience. However it will start to devolve I'm sure, as a game of such freedom and complexity as path needs too, but the onboarding process will be smoother. As for the F2P P2W model it's completely tied to stash tabs, they provide huge ease of access to auto sort all of you're loot, and to sell it to other players easily. they're so convenient to the point of p2w as you'll make most of your currency from them. HOWEVER!!! if you choose to play solo self found, like many players do. The game is 100% free to play, you might end up running out of stash space though. Everything else you can pay for is purely cosmetic. If you buy early access 30USD it comes with the full worth of that money, with in game store points. (30usd 300 points|) with that you could buy all the stash tabs you would ever need. Hope this helps!!!
@@marvikv2505The game can be played 100% for free, you can pay for convenience(stash tabs) and that's it. A lot of people "finish" the game ( and by that I mean the endgame) with 0 money spent. If you chose to pay, you can pay like 60$ for a supporter pack, get double the value always, have some cosmetics and have 60$ worth of points as well which can buy you all the stash tabs you'll ever need. I have played for free for 5 years, then decided that they really deserve those 60$ for the ammount of content and gameplay time they have given me. Nowadays, for the past 3 years I offer them my support as much as I can. It's absolutely unbelievable that this game is free. You do you tho. It's up to you, but I was you, I'd give it a try for free after it releases if you don't want to pay 30$ now (all of their betas were paid). The only thing you'll lose, is not your money, it's your sanity! 😂 Good luck exile! Stay sane!
@@marvikv2505 for PoE1, the game is definitely massive and can be a bit overwhelming to get started with as a new player, but there are also a ton of guides you could follow for pretty much every skill and playstyle you're interested in. those guides are concise and can be replicated consistently. it's not that hard to play the game like that and save the idea of fully making your own builds from scratch for when your understanding of the game has grown. you could also just f around and find out on your own pace if that's more your thing, it just means it'll take longer before you figure out how to optimise things enough to progress through lategame content efficiently. campaign should be manageable when freestyling a build even when you're new, atlas content is usually where you'll start to notice those inefficient choices adding up. and in terms of storage, PoE1 gave you 3 generic (any item you find can fit in the slots) stash tabs to use as a f2p and you did have to buy additional/specialised storage tabs seperately, but they were both cheap and could contain a massive amount of the relevant items. how they're going to manage stash space in PoE2 i couldn't tell you though, but i'd imagine that since skin mtx also carries over, the stash tabs might too. this could of course still come paired with an increase in the base number of tabs, but once again i don't know for certain. another thing that should be noted btw is that the store points used to buy mtx are also the same you use to get stash tabs. so if you plan on playing the early access through the supporter packs, the extra points included in those bundles can fix potential storage space issues for you.
I am a very passionate guy about games and this game will be so great that no other ARPG will ever come close to competing with this. that's mostly because they didn't choose to forsake the content of previous series entries. D4 could have had a decent end game on launch if they ported over greater rifts, but they chose not to. Nice of them anyway
Couldn't agree more! Most gameplay trailers are like McDonalds commercials where they paint the burger brown. This was the complete opposite.
I planned dinner, prepared dinner, cooked dinner, ate my dinner, washed the dishes sat back on the PC and this videos kept on giving more and more.. Truly a GGG delivery master piece..
I can't believe that you guys put this level of quality together in the early access, congratulations
@@Inquisite1031 You can't tell me the playerbase loved GGG basically destroying Harvest and Recombinators, not to mention the few defence reworks that made building characters way more complicated than it should be (and more than it used to be)
EDIT: I wanna make a special mention to the introduction of T17s and moving most of the loot there, meaning that the entire economy is now balanced around T17s, so you now need a very specific build that can tank most of the negative mods that come with them in order to basically be able to keep up with the inflation they produce with the vast different in loot. Reminder that T17s make most T16 100% deli full juiced builds unusable since they basically break your build and demand a huge amount of currency to fix the defense and offense so you can run them properly, while T16 strats gave less than a half of what T17s did.

Yes!!! And I’m glad they changed that.

Good luck exile!
The amount of effort GGG are putting into this game is insane and a company like this should be recognized for their passion for developing a game and devotion to us players.
얼액이라고 하더니 볼륨이 그냥 정식 출시네요... 연말이 너무 즐거워 지겠습니다 ㅎ
Ever since having ascension trials in Everquest 2 I've been waiting for a game to not only explore but explode the possibilities this brings. Great to see it happen.
what an insane amount of work. the game is looking incredible, I absolutely love the art style of the Vaal.
The crunchy math guys who played years of Diablo 2, have made a game involving more crunchy math. Love it, many blessings exiles.
After so many years, this is the continuation of Diablo 2 i had waited for so long. And not trash D3 and D4. Thanks!
Path of Exile exist you know...since 2012.
@@celuiquipeut6527compare this to d2 and this aligns more given the simplicity of certain mechanics
@@celuiquipeut6527 PoE is great but this is a true evolution. The way effects interact. Animation cancel into a dodge. WASD movement. Shoot/Cast while moving. Dedicated Block button. Streamlined gem system. It's all the next leap forward.
I can appreciate a game being loyal to its own identity and just make improvements that will improve that identity.
In a time where games disappoint more then they deliver we couldn't have gotten a better game then POE 2. Thank You for still being able to make as excited for a game as I got when I was a child ❤
Incredible. Giddy like the kid waiting in line for Diablo 1 's release decades ago. What a journey for ARPG fans.
this PoE2 early access is way bigger than entire diablo 4 content, insane
It's literally reusing content from PoE 1 you lemming.
that's mostly because they didn't choose to forsake the content of previous series entries. D4 could have had a decent end game on launch if they ported over greater rifts, but they chose not to. Instead they had well... effectively no endgame. GGG instead decided to basically take the best of PoE 1 mechanics and refine them, instead of reinventing the wheel
This is 5x or more (conservative) content than D4 and it is going to be doubled on 1.0 release. Welcome to Path of Exile. Oh and it will be free.
@@CriticalComplainer It's reusing ideas, everything would have to be remade. doubt anything could be or was just ported over.
@@TheInfectous Only GGG knows for sure, but given these were originally going to be in the same game, and cosmetic models are ported between the two - I would put money on assets being reused and likely a lot of the functionality being copy pasted.
I just bought a big supporter pack, uninstalled my other games and bought my wife and kids a trip to Aruba over christmas. This will be epic!
Finally the Diablo 2 successor I was waiting for for 20 years!
PoE1 was already that tbh.
@thematrix606 exactly lol.
@@thematrix606 No, I played PoE1, it plays nothing like D2 especially in the endgame. It's closer to D3 sadly.
@@hmr1122 There is nothing to say PoE2 will play that differently in end-game. Looks likely to be an unreadable screen full of mobs that drop once you touch the mouse.
Itemization looks closer to d2 though and that is enough for me.
@@azzogathor loot filters
6 classes at launch 6 more in the works, dual skill trees, the best necro in any Arpg, improved combat, less overlapping systems, reduced visual clutter, remarkably improved combat, better endgame more content to grind through in early access than in all of D4!!!!
Shutup and take my money. Take it all you beautiful monsters
The graphics and animations look so fucking CLEAN WTFFFFFFFFFF THIS GAME LOOKS SO GOOD AND IT COMES IN 2 WEEKS NO WAY omfg the character animations bro i can't, this can't be real, damn i haven't been this hyped for a game in years. I can't wait
well, it's still an Early Access (that costs 30 usd), so technically is not going to be released so soon, but it already looks promising
I'm a vet player since Diablo1, just a casual ARPG player, but a Diablo fan (more on the story) & have played all Diablo games. Never played POE in my entire life, but definitely considering to PLAY when it COMES out! Congrats POE2! You ROCK!!!
Too bad it’s full of microtransactions…DO NOT SUPPORT any game with microtransactions.
@@dongvermineI think that with a comment like that you prove you've never played PoE.
Most of them are cosmetics, some of them are (much needed, I admit) quality-of-life changes, but if you think PoE's microtransactions are like say the ones in mobile games you couldn't be farther from the truth. No need to boycott anything here.
@ Microtransactions are microtransactions. They do not belong in video games.
@@dongvermine Would you rather the game cost $60 and then ask for more money later for new content? Because that's the alternative.
I also dislike microtransactions at heart, but I've played PoE throughout the years and I see that it really works well as it does. People with money are supporting the continuous release of content with their purchases and you can play for free with no disadvantage compared to them (no p2w here).
@ I understand that and certain players would never be able to play if it was $60. Glad everyone can enjoy the game honestly
I love how you decided to make the gameplay a bit slower and more organic rather a very fast paced action rpg clicker. The build quality is like a single player game. Kudos to the team!
Meanwhile D4 : we have purple helltide
and 5 times the players
@@Premo07this isn't even out yet
@@urekmazino6800 Poe 1 on its peak compared to d4 on its peak is 5x less
@@Premo07 poe1 is way older and has better quality so I'll take that over d4
@@urekmazino6800 that's not what the majority of arpg players think clearly
Finally a cinematic that doesn't feel pretentious even when something scary or tense is happening, it was just right 🤌Feels good to see something like this after many years!
I honestly cannot remember how long it’s been since I was this excited for a game. My dopamine was going crazy watching this.
Ugotowali. Dzięki Jonatanie i Mareczku, pozdrawiam cieplutko
Diablo II callback.
Act 1 Rogue Encampment and Dark Wood
Act 2 Lut Gholein and the Desert
Act 3 the jungle ruins area.
Here we have dark wood, Vastiri desert, and Vall Jungle ruins....
Love it.
Besides all the other obvious, this just hit me watching this a second time
D2 cinematic
To be fair act 2 is always the fucking desert. Diablo 2, Torchlight 2, Dungeon Siege 2, Diablo 3, Death Must Die, Super Mario Bros. At this point I except it.
I'm physically crying. I am so happy.
Bruh for real I honestly shed a tear this looks so amazing, beyond expectations
36:36 I have this skill and there is no visual bubble like in this video. Is that on purpose or is this a bug? I see the icon showing Sorcery Ward is active but this video is showing it’s supposed to have a visual bubble. I hope someone can answer this.
Im blown away
I am 44 and if feels like Christmas again! The kid inside me is happy, I am 44 years old and I AM HAPPY! Let's relax, have a cup of your favorite drink and enjoy, let's play PoE2 ladies and gentlemen!
nobody cares how old you are stop telling everyone fucking freak
This was dope AF
All of this is utterly mind blowing. The skill progression and customisation looks to be simple to grasp but with so much depth and freedom to make a unique play style.
