- Just picked up this Yamaha RDS 250 Sea Scooter. It's a lot of fun! I wanted to make a little video talking about a few things I noticed which weren't covered in the manual.
Here is a link to someone else's video showing the RDS 250 in action: • Yamaha Seascooter RDS2...

Thank you for the video I learned a lot from it.
How long the engine works When the battery is full? is it two hours As it is written in an operating book ?
I also wanted to ask if there are any other Scooter models you recommend?
Very helpful thank you!
Very informative! The manual doesn't say to remove the handles to remove the nose cone. I was pulling and wedging a knife to pry it open. As a last resort I you tubed you! Thank you
My guess would be vibration dampening
Thank you!!!!!
Hi there , Any idea how to keep it from leaking? Thanks
Hi, thanks for your video! I have a seascooter rds 300 with a problem and I open that you can give me some advice: a little water enters the battery compartment, I cleaned the edges and then I lubricated as per the manual, but the problem remained, in your opinion how can i solve this problem? Thank you and good day. Sincerely
I was going to purchase this exact scooter but came across bad reviews about its battery not having a long life or will not charge at all after 1 to several uses. What are your thoughts/comments on these bad reviews about this item having battery problems on keeping a charge pr not being able to charge at all after a single use?
Do you know how this compares to the RDS 280?
You fkn legend. I'm at the beach, first time. No key!
HAVE YOU GONE ANY FARTHER INTO DISSASEMBLY YET? IM TRYING TO FULLY DISSASEMBLE THE RDS250 I HAVE TO TRY AND FIND WHY ITS NOT WORKING AND I CANT FIND ANYTHING?! IVE GOT THE COWL, HANDLE PROPELLER AND BATTERY OUT ANTHE SCREWS FROM THE BATTERY TRAY OUT BUT CANT GET ANY FARTHER IN THE DISSASEMBLY PROCESS??
Good job
Thanks!
Is it a good sea scooter, any better recomendations?
does it go fast????
I just called a shop online that said Sea Doo, Yamaha, and Nautica are all the same just branding changes.
You recommend this.
super glue the switch?
My on/off switch fell off at some point and I couldn't find it. Any suggestions on how to purchase a new one? Is it an easy replacement? Thanks!
3d print one
Aft ballast so it rides level in the water.
Need Help ! How i can Open the Battery and fixed ? I used once its not charging any more . Please !
Battery needs to be charged every night to keep it working
Jordan Jones I don’t understand you point . Jordan the battery right now is not charging. But its brand new I used once ! So my cuestión es how I can fixed ?
@@walter091571 is it the battery that's dead or the scooter? the battery has certain conditions which need to be met to sustain the functionality of it! Do you even read the instructions?
They buoyancy chamber is designed to also flood with water so you shouldn't need weights.
Maybe to not scratch the inside but I’m not sure
My ON/OFF switch broke completely off before I ever got to use it. I am so pissed off that they would make such a cheap piece of crap
Agreed... but it was a fairly easy fix. I think they should have made that switch more durable
@@vwdiver512 should of read the instructions first
What was the easy fix ?
How do you charge the battery?
Hi Edgar - you can remove the battery and it comes with an external charger
I wonder, can I use several batteries in a row on the same day? Does using multiple on the same day break the machine?
Definiely there for flotation!!!!
Any evidence the electric discharge from the motor could attract sharks?
Whats the difference to having a dive torch or camera filming them
if you purchased it brand new then there should be no foam around the prop casing. Then if got it second hand or used, the previous owner would have put it in there himself, for buoyancy/noise/vibration purposes. Manufacturers will never put a tackless foam with a masking tape in it.
Actually they all come with foam for buoyancy. That is factory made.
ACTUALLY I HAVE ONE TOO GOT BRAND NEW AND ITS GOT THE EXACT SAME FOAM PIECES SAME SIZE SAME TAPE ITS DEFINITELY FROM FACTORY
YAMAHA ; ROBO - SEA ; RBS 250 ;
RBS 300 ; MERGULHO MOTOR
ELÉTRICO ; MUITO EFICIENTE !!!
GOSTEI !!! NOVA AVENTURA NO FUNDO DO MAR !!! ; NOVO MEIO DE EXPLORAR FUNDO DO MAR !!!!

Those floats in the prop casing were definately a " home job". I imagine for antivibration.
OR.....its for positive buoyancy and has been done in a very cheap way. These are NOT Yamaha made. These are chinese junk with Yamaha sticker on it. Just got off the phone with my local Yamaha Dealer. They can be nice, but battery needs to be charged after every use. Every single use.
NOT A HOME JOB MINE HAS THE SAME THING INSIDE GOT IT NEW IN THE BOX DEFINITELY LOOKS HOMEMADE BUT ITS ORIGINAL
