Amazon isn't bad. They're the best warehouse gig you can get without being slaved. 40 cent raise every six months + benefits starting at day 1. No complaints here. You just have to have a good work ethic and stay out of work drama.
@@hoodiemike210 I worked at Amazon back in 2013. Stowing then was way different. None of these robots in the video. You didnt stand in one spot. Had to go get your yellow tubs and go to find empty or half empty bins and bin them in. Had to be constantly moving and on a high rate as hired on compared to seasonal employees. Pickers had to move even faster. You didn’t meet rate even barely missing it, it’s a write up. It was way harder then than these newer warehouses where you just stand and stow.
@Rubberbandman889 I'm chilling at Amazon still. They just increased the base pay by $1.50 so if you are making $18.10 starting October 11, pay will be 19.60 on top of the $.40 raise every 6 months = $20 per hour. They included free Amazon Prime for all associates starting next year.
I work fulltime night shift in a distribution center. It's funny how I look up stowing and always get FC vids. I always hear FC's are super strict with phone rules and performance rates more than the buildings I've worked in. Super easy job if you can keep up with the work rate. Just stay calm and you'll get to the end of the shift in no time 150$ richer.
@@eddiethealbatross5734Right they have a no unapproved ear buds and no phones out on floor policy that’s “strictly enforced “ depending on person….I no longer stow but when I did I was making more than 150 a day.
So many people hattin' on Jeff Bezos... The guy did bring A LOT of jobs to the USA and to the world! If you can afford to save some of your money and believe in Amazon then invest in the stock! Dang where do you work that its 12hrs? At my site regular shift is 10 and if theres mandatory overtime they add a 5th day or shifts are 11hrs. But only mandatory overtime.
They added 12 hour grave yard night shifts called 36 hrs to most warehouses for new temp white badges which is the worst schedule available compared to the 10 hr shifts.that most blue badges have. The thing is they are making sure it's less than 40 hrs so that newbies are not considered full time getting full time benefits. Being it at over night and 12 hrs is guaranteed to make people quit. But than again the items are little compared to the huge boxes people have to unload at sort center.
Thank you for the video! I start next Sunday and I am nervous. I’ve done warehouse so it’s nothing new but I’ve never done anything like this! Do you like it still? And what is the hardest part of the job? 😊
Thanks for your comment! No need to be nervous it’s not complicated or anything like that. Just put the right size item in the bins and don’t fall behind on your time basically. I recommend that you bring snacks to eat at your station and have some thing to listen to if you can. Oh yeah, you probably will be doing a lot of walking, so I recommend do not Stowe on the very top of the bins to try to save your legs from using that latter 🫡
congratulations on the first day, but yes, they will randomly put you anywhere to satisfy the business needs, most likely AFE pick pack or stow, but who knows good luck 🎉
When you applied for Amazon were you able to pick to become a stower? When I I try to apply at my fulfillment center the only available was “warehouse associate”
Thank you! I start my new position tomorrow so I'm excited to see how I do
You got it! Make a first day vid and post it if you can!

When do hit those buttons above the tote? I see some flash green.

How come if you have a alot of a certain item you cant just scan that one item if there are multiple of that one item and they want all items scan
I had that same problem they want every same item scanned what brother
Im a 7k stower i had to do it for the 1 time just to show mfs who the best in my building is
Ummm, yeah , ok....... SMH
I want to learn more how do you indicate that this is the place you should keep the item?
Good question you basically can put the item anywhere unless they flash or light red on the box
Do you just put the items in any available space, or how do you know the right box to put the scanned item thanks
What’s up you put the items in any available box that light does NOT flash red on.
How do you get a job like this? How’d you apply?
