"Your boss" is not a human. Your boss doesn't know you from Adam. The "computer" will write you up in a heartbeat and all the conversations/arguments with "your manager" will mean squat. You can't even contest a write-up until you get a third one. One day, they are gonna move you from station to station 30 times in one week. Maybe you'll be "counting" for 29 of the hours and only 11 hours picking for the week. During those 11 hours picking you had bad luck, conveyer issues, stalled pods, took a longer dump than usual, and just texted your friends a bit more than usual, your hand scanner was missing when you came back from break you, kept checking the Knicks playoff game score, and the pretty Kiva-girl walked by and you just happened to be concerned about amnesty items all of a sudden. Okay, you're a human being and we've all been there done that "from time to time". BUT, since you only picked for 11 hours that week it means you didn't have enough hours to "make up" for all of those non-productive moments. Do you get the picture? The computer is gonna write your behind up. Ain't NUTHIN' GONNA CHANGE THAT ! ! !
I hate pick. I'm normally a packer but got crossed trained after about 2 months there. I have arthritis in my lower back and the fast pace and constant bending and kneeling hurt like hell. I ended up getting a write up which turned out to be a good thing because my pack leader basically forced me to get an accommodation for my back so now I only do 8 hour shifts instead of 10.
I started in pick, and eventually counting. Recently cross-trained in pack-singles. Yes, most prefer packing to picking. Picking is by far more physically demanding. Counting was a breeze in the beginning, but got extremely boring and extremely tiring after a few months. Mostly, because when bending and kneeling, you are staying "down there" for a bit because you gotta count a few items and put them back, as opposed to just grabbing and going on one's way. So, lots of kneeling on one or both knees, and having to get up from that position 300 times a night (I use the ladder to hold onto while going down on knee, and getting up. It truly helps Lol. Anyway, I also have to use the ladder to go up, as I have to remain there. When picking at ARSAW, I use the ladder, maybe twice per week, as I'm tall.

One really needs to get solid night's sleep. Just got sick again. Second time in three months. Place is filthy. Folks started leaving their coats and belongings on our dining tables. So now? Custodial workers don't clean them. Check this out. I recently posted on our "My Voice" screen, in common area. These comments get seen by Amazon Execs in outside offices. It carries clout. So, I posted, "How come we haven't had warm/hot water in main bathroom for over two years? Why am I the only one noticing this? Don't our leaders use the bathroom? Unreal...." So yeah, they sent one of the elite warehouse managers to "follow up" and talk to me. Lol. I tell her, "I'm not the bathroom rep. Just fix the darn water." That was a month ago. I just hated when the bar code reader couldn’t scan the bar code right for some reason, we had to put each number in the register to see the item and price on the cash register screen. But I can’t complain, my grandparents used to own a local small neighborhood market and bar codes weren’t invented yet so they just rung up the prices and wrote every item on a receipt with the carbon paper to give their customers their receipt. Now we rely on technology for almost everything, it can make like much easier lol 😁

Need improvement in picking techniques. 1- before a pod arrives at your station. Check the bin location, item quantity, color and shape of the item. As pod arriving u must approach the bin location and pull the item out. ( don't spend a lot of time looking at the screen try to memorize the item pic) next while scanning the item look foe the blinking rack light. Drop the item in the tote with one hand and touch the rack light with the other hand but be very fast.

Nice work, that kind of work need to familiarize the items . How I wish to work like that. How to apply? I’m from Philippines ❤️❤️❤️
You can Go to Amazon job online Everything is online
Those carts just keep on coming. When does a worker have time to check their social media?
It’s a job of course you can’t be checking your phone lol what ?
i work at amazon it’s not that bad
😂😂😂😂On YOUR time, not company time.
@@397coney7 Use the Spiccoli argument .. "it's not just company time, it's my time too".
Before and after work. 🤷🏻♀️
And people complain about this job? Better than picking at a CVS distributor.
💯💯💯 Facts
Ikr and don’t even get me started about FedEx, Amazon is a walk in the park by comparison, FedEx ground is like a war zone everyday humans vs. invading packages💀.
@@RealVedicAstrology facts, I used to work at FedEx and it was like war there, amazon is light work compared to FedEx and ups lol
@@ronaldocruz4594 ikr people are never grateful until they experience real hardship
Just cross trained to pick from count and love it! Your body at the end of 12 hour shift will be in agony though. Not for the faint of heart.
Yes but it takes less than 2 months and your body adapts. Then it just becomes a routine daily workout.
how do you know which bucket you put the item after scanning it
That black round disc has a light that shows him what box to put the item in
Usually all the buckets are logged into the computer and circled with lights indicating where things are going.
Definitely a chimpanzee could do it
This process could be made so much more efficient without people having to work harder
I didn't see you put a tote on the conveyor
Hi Romero, could you please make a video clip after you do in this video. Thanks 👍
Yes I will
His is depressing how you have to push that button so they know how long you put the item in the bin.
What role is 7:30am-6pm
I work 7:30am-6:00pm but that's for ship dock at AMXL.
I work 6:30pm-7:00am and I pick 370PH and literally get Document Positives every single week!💯
Oye bro cual es el mejor puesto o para aplicar
What warehouse you assign? Thanks
Me pregunto cómo ara ahora para sacar el teléfono

Is this in Tracy or Turlock ?
Does the computer screen shows u which totes to place the items??
Yes
I want to do this but Part time
Is there an ergo mat for your feet?
Those are the worst they absorb so much energy
Amazon really isn’t a bad place to work, however picking is by far my last choice! I do pack, stow, picking, recieve and icqa. But my favourite by far is amnesty’s responder. Good job on video brother
How do you become a amnisty responder?
. You get cross trained. Then you get assigned daily.
Great job but you need to move 5x faster to be left alone by leaders lol
Do those lights always flash on the id number?
Man he picks slow, they had us running ragged when picking especially during they holiday season your tat time must be really high
Me personally that’s too slow for a picker
How this man can do it in jeans blows my mind haha
Admit it you was looking at his ass
😂 for real i go in with shorts and my balls still be sweaty ass fuck, can't imagine this guy in jeans 😅 swamp ass everyday
Oh wow, so you don't have to walk around the building to pick the items anymore?
not at the newer ones
quiero trabagar ay puedo ir ala planta para meter la plicacion
This isn't the picking I did at Amazon. I walked my butt off or was in an order picker all day
Do workers have to work at every type of stations or can they choose to be a picker or other areas?
You are usually assigned a spot or station
Thank my late father for inventing bar code reader.
That’s cool to know! I thank your father 🩷. It helped a lot when I worked in retail.
The Best job to have, just maintain 325 pH, minimize your Bathroom breaks
250 ph is good enough. Many barely do 100 per hour.
@@JonnyD-gl7cn yeah man try to be 250 or above. I see some people with two hands on their phone all night lmao.
Holy crap. I thought working at the Delivery Station was sad. I start getting depress watching this.....serious I clicked away.
Lmao it's always ppl walking back and forth to talk to,, you're not on a island by yourself,, it's literally a picker right across from you to talk to if you know them ,, its not depressing
do you work at clt4?
Must be his last day lol
Me encantaria trabajar en amazon pero mi ingles es muy malo de verdad es necesario el ingles para trabakar ahi yo vivo en newark 😢
Nice one Sir, thank you. I applied the same method at my picking job with Amazon at Edison New Jersey. It works😊 best for me....
Men, only scan the products, doooont revome nothing, because our job is to hard 😂
