Great video! Two suggestions: 1. Would be great to hear the snippet of the film with those phrases, and 2. Why don't you do it regularly with other movies, picking up expressions that natives use a lot but we hardly find in books, lessons etc? Thank you!!

Hey! Thanks for the questions! I am planning on more like this and sometimes it’s hard to get clips of films into videos without running into copyright issues! 😩 I just don’t want them to be taken down by RUclips 😂

@@smashingenglish thank you! Who knows, maybe it could be like for music snippets, you can use anything within 15 seconds of the song...

Hello - one I did not understand was in the 'fraid so example he follows by saying "Sorry about all the cock ups...." or maybe it is "cockups". I assume that means "mistakes" or "screw ups". Love your videos especially the way you inject humor into what you are teaching. You do an ace job! (I hope I used "ace" correctly :)

Postcript: Excuse the question, your pronunciation is very clear and understandable, so it should be?
It's just that I feel that in some cases I understand almost everything, but in others, frankly, I don't understand anything at all.
    Thank you for your help.

“Afraid so” is actually very common in the US, we definitely took it from the British because it’s meaning is exactly the same.

I wish someone would teach Spanish the way you teach English, that is words and phrases that we actually use every day. I call my 2 little Grandaughters little buggers every time they sit in my chair or drink my pop 😁😁😂

That's an amazingly informative video... And I can't find sufficient words to praise it and the way you present it.. But my request is if you could go a little slower while speaking on terms of pace, as that will really be of great help in getting your every word... I also would love to use the link you have mentioned, but I could not find it... Kindly provide me the same... With regards, ASHOK KUMAR SATIJA from India

1:49 Can't bring myself to wait for the 'quite big swear words' lesson.
You can't embrace a culture without that ingredient and it will be quite a youtube event... while it lasts, it goes without saying...
