    Thanks for the review! Ive had mine about 3 weeks and I totally agree about the braking. People always talk about range and top speed but I realized a lot of the fun of this board is so much control. Im in Columbus where ther is a ton of construction.

    I love these new chinese brands pushing the competition. It also makes diy builds way cheapers because a lot of the parts used in the meepo or wowgo can be found on ebay

      thinking of buying one aswel, but i heard someone say that the wowgo 2s gets a lot slower once battery is below about 40%, this would be a real turnoff, have you noticed anything like this?

    • @johandegrieck3412
      @johandegrieck3412 6 лет назад +2

      Benoit Van Waes indeed, it's called 'voltage sag' yes I notice it too, but not before i have about 25% left, good question! I'm going to try and verify it with a tracking app

    • @benoitvanwaes5664
      @benoitvanwaes5664 6 лет назад

      Thank you for your quick answer ;) i really want to buy an electric board asap but there is so much choice right now and huge price differences. I dont know what to get, the wowgo looks great but the voltage sag scared me a bit but apparently all boards have this (except boosted). The only other problem i had with the wowgo was that the acceleration seemed a bit slow, i got a lot of hills where i live and dont know if it can handle them :/

    Great review. Just a few questions. I'm 51 and don't have any skating experience. Test drove a Boosted V2. It felt really smooth. I was hoping to find a board for leisure rides between 15-20 MPH on smooth bike paths near a beach. I think I'll just want to go in a straight line. Not sure I'm going to want to carve or do anything to risk losing my balance. Do the wheels on the Wowgo2s have good traction? Will beach sand on the path cause me to have any motor problems? I've heard that hub motors make the ride a little rougher. Do you get a smooth ride on smooth surfaces? Would a boosted Stealth be too much for my kind of riding?

    • @FeniXonoK
      @FeniXonoK 6 лет назад

      Boliviano444 same here. Wondering how those hub motors will behave over rough surfaces, tile sidewalks and so on. Got really bad roads in my town. Not off-road, like dirt and sand, but cracks are all over here.

  • @DKZS
    @DKZS 6 лет назад +1

    I´ve had my WowGo 2s for three months already, basic battery pack (although I highly regret not getting the sanyo) and I´ve done over 500 km so far with it. Gone uphills without any problems and breaking is still so smooth even with a 100% battery going downhill ( I happen to live on a mountain) It even handles rough terrain like a beast. So I couldn't agree more with what you are saying. It's well worth the money, best bang for your buck and noob rider friendly.
    The only couple of things I can probably complain about are; mine did not come with a rubber handle, so it gets heavy and painful after a while. The griptape did not come with the bolts uncovered, so if I ever buy a battery upgrade or have to mount some lights on the tracks will have to cut the griptape myself (which I don't think it will look pretty after i'm done with it) And thirdly, this might be a problem concerning myself anywho, lately I have been experiencing some discomfort on my back foot (numbness and some pain) from the tedious vibrations, I´ve tighten the bolts but haven't found any difference, so might be foot placement I don't know.

      I'm thinking of upgrading the bushings.

    • @DKZS
      @DKZS 6 лет назад

      @@blasianmoistcr1tikal725 that's good, softer bushings means more carving but lesser stability at higher speeds, and harder bushings way more stability and faster recovery to center with speed but less likely to be able to carve as one would with softer ones. Although, do look for the best fit of hardness for your weight and the kind of thing you would like to do, there is a chart that explains it (I don't remember now the link)

    I've been watching all reviews on Wowgo, Meepo, Verreal, Ownboard and you did a good job reviewing. Great tip on the braking and full charge. For someone commuting from home to train to work, I'll have to carry it in the train. What's the weight differences between yours and basic batterry? There's a Verreal AT Mini coming out soon. Will you review it?

    • @DannyKimHD
      @DannyKimHD  6 лет назад +1

      They advertise that the wowgo2s is very well sealed in terms of water resistance, but im still careful about it. DIfference in weight is only about 2-3 pounds and i could be wrong about that. its as standard weight as any electric skateboard would be.

    Hey Danny Kim, I was just wondering about this board I’ve been watching a bunch of videos on it and I really like it but what are your thoughts on me? Would a 14 year old about 120 pounds be ok on it would it be unsafe and too fast? Just wondering cause I’ve been saving up my money and really wanna invest in one of these!

  • @JB-sd4qc

    Great video, I want to buy a skateboard but I do not know what. I'm a novice on this subject. Currently I have a Xiaomi Mijia M365 but the Mayor of London, UK, Mr. Sadiq Khan has them banned in the whole inclusive city in the parks so I had thought of a skateboard that for the moment are allowed along with the bikes. The problem is that the particular vehicle with combustion engine has a lot of power and does not want anyone to be blocked and contaminate where people want to go or circulate and do not want to be bothered by bikes, electric skates etc.

    I had the Backfire 2 for about 2 weeks. The ECU started playing up, had it replace then that one stopped working, so I sent the board back...after a lot of bad experiences with the company I got a refund and invested it in the wowgo 2 ith samsung battery. Not come across any problems with it, loving it :D would recommend.

    • @DannyKimHD
      @DannyKimHD  6 лет назад

      Oh haha it wont allow you to switch mode while its in motion. i personally think its safer this way because changing speeds while driving is kinda dangerous especially if you dont expect the torque. To each their own though.

  • @johnsilverman9402

    Been waiting a month now for my wowgo. They lied and said it was shipped 2 weeks ago. When the board does get shipped you wait another 3 weeks to deliver it to your house.They use google translate for english emails, which is why they don’t respond to some, if you don’t mind waiting 2 months for your board go ahead and order now, but I hate when companies lie. To be honest everyone’s complaining buy don’t care! Buy from a company that gives 2 cents about maintaining their shipment guarantee. Also good luck to those ordering new parts.

    • @siiil21
      @siiil21 6 лет назад

      the trucks where tightened so much the board did not turn AT ALL... it only turned to one side a tiny but cause the front truck was mounted a little bit to much to the left the plug on the esc was not glued at all and was loose.. and the rubber ring seal around the on off button on the esc case was broken and sticking out of the (on off) button so not at all protecting in any way from moisture and the 3 screws on the hub motors where not tightened in any way not even finger tight..

    • @DannyKimHD
