I found some Metal Machines at Big Lots....

That grey/green Nitro Rider would look cool with an internal LED to give the windows a radioactive glow effect.
I like that the Zuru Bandit can easily pass for a Car Wars style/Dark Future Interceptor.

BTW, that Maisto car is called Leadfoot. It's a cool looking low rider type.
There's another car in that line called the Leadslinger. It looks like a Ford 32 type but has twin MGs across the hood.

Leadfoot, THANKS! Yeah I agree, I'm thinking of doing a lighting on it much like C. Way did on the Aristo Rat, he calls it the Astro Rat, on the Gaslands page.

Leadslinger....is it in the Zuru or Maisto line? I haven't seen it if it's Maisto.

Here a link to an unboxing video for the Maisto Leadslinger. It's totally Gaslands ready with its two MGs and armored panels!

That bandit car kinda looks like it was based on an LMP/DPi endurance racecar

I think there are ten castings total. Painted in different color schemes (with a different name), that would make 20 cars total. I like the cars a lot, both the design and the quality. If I knew that Zuru will continue producing them, I would break the ice and begin a collection. Zuru needs to create a Collector’s website, introduce the designers, create a “culture”, a sense of permanence, to attract collectors. Right now I feel this product is in a limbo, at least in the American Market, where I live.

Big Lots also has them. I picked up some last week. I enjoyed watching the whole video. Entertaining.

Walmart does carry Zuru. They have several lines of cars. Metal machines being one of them.
The cars at Walmart that I am aware of are not Hot Wheels scale. They are a larger scale meant for playing in the sandbox by kids sort of scale.
I like the designs but the quality of these cars is far from what I'm accustomed to. I agree the packaging is better than Hot Wheels. However, Im not collecting cardboard.
Metal machines is a stretch in the name. Only thing metal on these cars is the chassis.
I agree on the glass. I cant stand the colors on the glass.
Once you get these a part you'll see that they aren't the same quality level as Hot Wheels. The plastic drills like cold butter. At least on the cars I have. The plastic body (not metal although they sound like it when you tap on them) is a brittle plastic compared to the dense plastic in mattel's lines. The design are there. I LIKE THE DESIGNS. But, the quality not so much. You can even feel the weight difference in these. They are super lightweight compared to mainstream die-cast.
As I said in the Facebook group. Will they Gaslands... yes. Will I be getting more. Probably not so much. The reason they are 20 cents cheaper? 20 cents less quality in my opinion.
    Keep making the magic. 👍😁

I speaking more of these specifically, I've never seen them at any Wal-Mart locally but have seen the more kid friendly larger rides.

Mech Head Studios I figured. Just mentioning it because if they carry the larger they could carry the smaller eventually as Zuru would be a vendor they currently deal with. Zuru does have lots of lines of cars. Metal Machines is one of them. They seem to do a lot of officially licensed based stuff as well. Not sure how I feel about that.

damn good haul! and i'm glad you did a thing on the zuru metal machines stuff...good to get a moving up close on those, William Cole had shown me some of the ones he'd gotten, and i remarked how the design dept for them is really good, but the manufacturing end seems rather shoddy. you got soooo many cars ive been wanting to get...just ether have not found them, or just didnt have the money. awesome vid, and i hope you keep doing them! oh and, my nom de plume on facebook is morte forte. ;)

If they change the names of the cars depending on the color, then it would be more expensive to make a multiple dies to change the name, so I am not surprised at all that there isn't a name. Nice find. I never make it to Target, and haven't seen these.

I like the monthly reviews. It's different and shows what might make it to our local stores. Thanks for sharing.

I just bought 200 of them, I got them for $0.10 each. I’m going to flip most of them for a profit. Then give the rest away to my nephews.
I got them at Walmart & they were normally $1.00 each. I will be getting more if I can find any more.

What is the best tool to use to take the models apart? It looks like you need some sort of really small hex wrench.

      DontFearDaReaper A drill.

Like Gaslands Garage said, a drill but go super slow as they're made of plastic.
