    Hey mate, thanks for sharing the steps and tips to do this expensive job.
    I did everything you did, then took off the 3 screws and washers that was holding the coolant pump but it's not moving at all, drained the coolant from radiator, use a crowbar to lift it using all my weight, spanner to spin it, spray with penetrating oil, I used every technique it's still not moving. Is there a lock or anything that holds the pump except the 3 screws?
    Thanks for the video

      No if the pump is glued with silikon and after some time can corrode then it's very difficult to remove it try knocking with hammer while using some bar

    How do I know how the coolant pump has to be aligned when installed? Are there any special marks to look for?

    • @mechanicigor
      @mechanicigor  3 года назад

      There are no marks earlier models didn't have tensioner so timing belt was tensions with coolant pump this way you install it like old one

    Crank pulley bolt is exstreamly tight and needs to be torqued up.
    Cam shaft pulleys will spring back without locking tool to hold alignment.
    Engine needs to be turned by hand 2 turns then recheck timing marks.
    No one would refit covers without doing this. So much left out on video. Very poor.

    Hi, why the engine starts in 1500RPM ? I have the same "problem" with the astra g 1.4 16v. If i press the acceleration pedal the RPM are going to normal. Any ideea about that ? Thanks!

      @mechanicigor  6 лет назад +1

      Avornicesei Gabi when the engine is cold it's normal to work at 1500 and when temperature sensor heats it drops the rpm

      Igor Dimoski Ok, but my engine is working very bad when is at 1500RPM on IDLE. Why? This problem is only at the first start, then runs without problems..

      I'm not sure maybe fuel pressure is little lower or some injector is sticking
