Its crazy how life works. Less than a year ago I had a full ride scholarship from the army and could’ve been a LT at 19, but now I’m training to be a PJ. You have to stay hopeful and humble because everything works out in the end.
Very cool to see someone making videos with true good-natured intent to help others and watch them succeed. To me it reflects the mentality of a PJ in their selfless mission. Overall, great advice that is very applicable to life! Thank you!
Hello sir your page is awesome, I'm a medical student & firefighter/paramedic and part time phlebotomist going SEAL route, 29 years old, optimum PST scores and former lifeguard on Miami beach. Your videos/Instagram are very reaching, informative and interactive and im glad I found them today. I keep up with Jeff Nichols and stew Smith (SEALs) but never have I seen an instructor opening this motivation/training business! Would love to train with you, your programs are functional based off what I hear and being with a SF instructor as a mentor is awesome
Don’t text and drive I lost two classmates that way. Please get good grades your future senior self will thank you. Be careful when dating and going to parties. But most of all have fun it flies by very fast I’ve been out of high school for a year now and it’s crazy! Enjoy it while it last!
How would i go about training in water? I can swim but not really good. I really want to become a PJ but the water training that I see I know I won't pass but I don't no way to practice in in. How can I get better. Idk but I am about to go to meps tuesday for the physical examination and I haven't decided for a job.
PJ is ALL volunteer! On the first "pre-test" day, during Basic Training, you will be required to perform a 3-mile run, about a mile in the pool and then a 12 mile hike with ruck sack or backpack. All of these events are timed! Fail one test and you are sent back to your Basic Training Flight. Only about 10% will make it through this entire test, and it takes months of preparation! You will start the day at about 5:00 am with about 100 other guys. If, they make it through all three challenges, you will end up with maybe eight guys left who will then be potential candidates. Start running now! Start 10 mile hikes now! Learn to swim well now! Otherwise, you have no chance! Water training will be your first block. Water training and jump school, with the Army, are the two most demanding training events. However, if you make it to graduation, and make it to a S.O. Squadron, seeing people die you are working to save, will be the toughest part. A life-time of bad dreams. Good luck! Be careful what you wish for in this life.
God given, be thankful
Man given, be humble
Self-given, be careful.
thank you Sir for the reminder.
I’m a simple man, I see HowToBeAPJ put up a new video, I hit the thumbs up.
This video will be relevant forever.

Any advice for incoming freshman in HS aspiring to be a future pj?
Sam Luther Don't let anyone change your mind about things, especially if it's a bad influence. Don't overwork yourself either!
Thanks! Much appreciated

Quick question,. What’s the object you are carrying in your left hand while your walking?
I'm carrying a steel mace... extra weight for rucking, and another tool in case of anything... stray dog, dangerous vagrants, etc.
How much does it weigh, Thanks.
