Garden is doing great despite that rotten groundhog/rabbit. That is so frustrating! Loved this tour, you’ve accomplished so much! Praying that poison heals quickly. ❤️🙏🏻Val C
Our peach tree starts had ants trying to build a home. A virus started and we had to intervine by removing the queen ant and also removing the sick leaves. I think we caught it in time. They look pretty good now. We are constantly checking them.
Wonderful update, Amanda! I hope you get that critter problem resolved, I'm with you in that they need to go when they become that destructive, haha. Heather at Sage and Stone Homestead did a video recently on making Elderflower Cordial, I bet you could turn a bunch of those elderflower heads into some tasty cordial since you said you don't need as many berries this year. Very happy you've advanced the watering situation a bit, I'm sure it relieves a lot of work. Perhaps get one of those larger IBC water totes and fill that up from your creek/spring so it won't run out as fast when using the hose vs the smaller barrels? Really love seeing the progress of your land, slow and steady will win the race. 💚
Hey Amanda! Put on some long sleeves along with gloves and get a saw. Cut a 3-4” (or larger) section out of the poison ivy root, and that will kill it. 🎉 We had one as well and cutting the section out near the bottom worked!!! Good luck 🍀
It may be time to put Marley to work! We were having a big squirrel and rabbit problem and I started moving our dogs poop to outside the fence perimeter and the critters haven’t been back 😊
Hey Amanda I had a bunny and squirrel problem so I got a lot of wind chimes and 2 sonic owl's that make a screeching noise they don't like so between the two options we're thriving again. Enjoying your channel thanks for the hard work. Blessings always ❤️
Let me tell you about a trick I saw on youtube that actually works. Go to Walmart or somewhere like it and get you some fast orange and scrub the areas until it starts to kind of stings. You might have to do it a couple of times. I had poison sumac so bad. It was driving me crazy. Couldn't sleep at night at all. Great video as always. Believe it or not it really will help you.
I'm thinking it's a groundhog. I had one last year and he would crawl under my fence and eat the tops off my green beans. Made me so upset. Lordy. I worked so hard to make him an all he could eat buffet
I've had a terrible time getting my sunflowers to grow this year. I've replanted numerous times and the rabbits are nibbling them all off. It's so frustrating.
I don't know much about what growing zone you are in, but will you get enough chill hours for your honey crisp apple? If you are warm enough for olives, I am not to sure.

Watch James Prigioni! He can tell you exactly how to take care of your trees!!! I love watching him as well as you.
Thank you!
