I'm a postpartum/newborn nurse. First of all you got some good stuff! A word of advice, use the darker colors of PJ'S for the first week (childbirth is a messy thing). Second, take care of yourself. Let Josh flex his dad muscles and help take care of baby. Babies have an incredible sense of smell (if they can smell mom, they want to be with mom). If you're desperate for a nap, have Josh take baby into a different room. Baby should be calm and you can get a power nap. Next, lanolin cream will be your friend . Baby blues are a real thing. If you want to cry, do it. Your hormones will be going crazy.I hope you and Josh have a wonderful experience!!!

    • @robinashultz7662

And if you do get a bad case of the blues increase your B vitamins, I took twice the normal amount twice a day (water soluble of course so what you don’t need just goes out) for two days then took normal dose. It was a God send! I had been literally sobbing all the time before that.

I concur on the lanolin cream because ouch. I liked button up pj's for breastfeeding. I didn't take pj's to the hospital just a big rob and inexpensive slippers that I threw away afterwards. I only wore that ugly hospital gown, but wore ist front side open buttoned up and my robe on top. After hospital any pj's will do, but when visitors came I used button pj's because that is what made me more comfortable and less exposed. Heating pad for postpartum cramping is awesome. You and baby will need an outfit to come home to and since it is going to be cold make sure baby is bundled up, but watch winter car seat safety tips. Puffy jackets or puffy blankets in a car seat are a big no no. Happy delivery!

Also big no to the cold packs for breast comfort - decreases milk production.
Here is what I would suggest: look up perineal ice pads- you can make them ahead and have them in your freezer (pad with water on absorbing side, witch hazel, then freeze flat), snacks, chapstick, ice pops, adult pull up diapers (sounds weird but helps you from bleeding through onto clothes and is more comfortable then the disposable underwear), your own pillows and comfortable throw blankets, and shower things (shampoo, soap, lotion, etc).

Just wanna say that the way you spoke about your child "possibly" having limb differences (Like with his hand) so calmly and accepting is truly a freaking wonder.
It's easy **I think*** to catastrophize situations like this, but the way you speak about it with so much love and calm uts a really good example.
I'm certain there's people in the audience with limb differences or disabilities that can hear somebody speak about things like this not as a tragedy is really good.

All the experienced moms on here thinking back to labor delivery postpartum is so sweet. ❤ I'm also that mom. Becky no one can really prepare you fully, because this is the biggest life game changer and it's different for each of us. But some things are universal. You're on the right track and you're going to do so well! Some things I wish I was told: you'll bleed post partum, a lot. Have lots of pads and assign Josh to bathroom trash duty. Put multiple layers of sheets on the crib with a moisture barrier between. You'll see why. Music. Always music. Accept the help offered, but also tell people it's a burden to assign tasks so they can just do what they see needs done. Most importantly, whatever you feel in the first two or three weeks after birth is normal. Joy fear elation depression, sleep depravation plus a massive hormone shift. And it's ok. It's all going to be ok. The house may be messy, dinner may be late, clothes furniture walls will get dirty. It's all good. Take the time off you need. We're not going anywhere. ❤

Love your reply. So true that everyone is different. I remember my SIL having a go at me about why no one told how lonely it would be after the birth - I thought nothing of it as I just got on with it in my loneliness. I guess, in what you said about feelings are spot on, but I want to extend on what you have said is to make sure to see the GP if anyone is feeling like they have PND symptoms. Don’t listen to people that just say it’s hormones (in many cases yes) but I just want to make sure that PND isn’t stigmatised ❤❤❤

Everyone is different, because you were talking about bleeding...i hardly bled at all after having my babies. I agree to accept help and yes, tell them whatever they see that needs done. One thing I was so tired after having my babies, so I slept every day for about a week, then was fine.
My husband took care of the house, my mom offered to do dishes, wash, for the first week on my 3rd baby. The first 2 babies, I was on my own and hubby helped out marvelous.

And this retired postpartum nurse and breast feeding counselor agrees ...
Pack a couple of PJ's, a robe, your slippers, nursing bras, sports bras, a change of clothes to go home, toiletries, baby clothes and baby blankets. Everything else will be provided to you. Including peri ice packs if needed. Leave complete postpartum kit at home for extra supplies for when u get home. Remember you will only be in the hospital a couple of days if it's a vaginal delivery and three days for an uncomplicated C-section. So pack light! Don't forget your phone charger....and don't forget to take it home....it's the most common item left behind in hospital. If there is a natural oil scent that you like that calms you then bring that to sniff.
But MOST importantly....know that you are NOT in control of this process as much as baby is. Let go and let your nurses and doula guide you through your labor. They HAVE done this before...and the have you and your baby's best interest in mind! You're gonna do great Becky. KNOW THAT!! ♥️😘

Just a tip from a Mom who's "been there" - In preparation for baby's arrival, it's a good idea to ensure you have a car seat for each car or at least 2 bases for the car seat and install one in each vehicle. (Also, practice putting the car seat in it and taking it out again before baby gets here. We strapped in a 5 pound sack of potatoes in the car seat for practice.) Practicing using the buckling mechanisms is also helpful, since each car seat is a little different. Also, a "just in case" diaper bag should be in each car. Think of it as a baby bug-out kit - at least a couple burp cloths, change of clothes for baby, diapers and wipes, and a small blanket in each bag. A bonus would be a bottle of purified water in each bag. This way, if you forget the main diaper bag at any time in the early weeks, you still have baby items for short trips. I also kept a comfortable change of shirt and bra in my emergency bag I kept in my car as long as I was nursing my children, along with some cleansing wipes just in case leakage caught me by surprise.

Becky, as a 70 year old mom, you made me think back 51 years when I went to the hospital to deliver my daughter. My bag was a small suit case with a nightgown, my toothbrush and other toiletries, a set of clothes and cloth diapers to bring the baby home in and a receiving blanket. I had a big baby shower and was given everything else I needed. My water started leaking 6 weeks before she was born. Now, I would have been closely watched by a doctor, but back then they did nothing. I had a dry birth with our daughter and had a long labor. Because she was in the birth canal for a few weeks, she came out with an elongated cone head, but to us, she was the most beautiful baby girl we had ever seen. The nurses showed me how to massage her little head and within only a few days, her little head was just normal. I was in the hospital for 5 days and by the time I brought her home, her poor little skin was shedding like a snake. I was 19 years old and was dumb as dirt, but my baby and I got along just fine. Thank you so much for sharing this video with us. I also follow Kim and watched her prepare for her precious baby boys birth and as any grandma out there, I was just as anxious awaiting his birth. You and Josh will be wonderful parents. Just take a big breath as you get into this last few weeks and just enjoy each other. Your life is about to change in was that you can’t even imagine. In fact, it might be helpful to have a rolling bag for your husband, who will be carrying in and out a ton of stuff. I didn’t change clothes all that much while I was at the hospital, so you don’t need a bunch of options there. I also didn’t eat any of my snacks, but my husband sure did! Take some shower shoes. Take your own pillow, hair ties, phone chargers, and chapstick. I think those are the most important things.

I agree. Not much is needed. A change of clothing is pretty much all you need. And, one outfit for the baby. The less stuff you bring the better. It's just more stuff Josh will have to carry back to the car. The hospital supplies gowns and launders them for you and the baby.

    • @juliabrown5948
      @juliabrown5948 Год назад +3

I also recommend a big bag so that Josh can find what you need easily and quickly for you. Too small a bag is tricky.
Definitely bring a robe to the hospital, and socks and slippers since you won't know how hot it cold you may be. Bring a good headband and lots of scrunchies to keep your hair up and also get some Lanolin for nipples. Safe for baby and great to prevent cracking.
Look into "pad-scicles" for healing. Disposable or reusable cloth pads (my favorite, order on Amazon) with witch hazel and aloe poured on and then frozen in a ziplock. Great to have at home, but bring your preferred type of pads for at the hospital so you have options other than just the hospital ones.

Just maintain healthy, don't push hard for a particular size/timeframe. Your mental health is worth way more than a few pounds and extra stress, let your body adjust to your new role :)

Bring whatever you want to the hospital and for the first few weeks post baby, but keep in mind you may decide to toss those items after the first 6 weeks because they will get blood on them . I just washed them but I know everyone feels different. Also please do not take this the wrong way but do not take those white ones with you to the hospital and I would honestly not wear them postpartum for the first couple weeks

My advice on the breastfeeding is to call the La Leche League before baby comes . Those women are incredible. They will answer all of your questions, and tell you what you need before baby comes and also what you might need in the future. Without them I don't think I could have successfully breast feed my children. Back when I had my children they had a book titled "The Womanly Art Of Breastfeeding". 🙂💕

Back in the day, they were our salvation. My daughter was born at the Calgary General Hospital in Calgary Alberta Canada in 1980, when breastfeeding was basically a crime. I wanted to nurse her immediately at delivery. They literally stole her from me out of the delivery room, gave her two bottles, and wouldn’t let me see her for seven hours. If it weren’t for Le Leach, I would have been snowballed into bottle feeding. I ended up nursing until my children self-weaned around 3ish.

You are going to need more than you think. Kim on the wads is definitely someone I would trust to know what you need for babies. When in the hospital grab as many of the big pads as you can. You will need them along with anything they have for the baby like the bulb syringe and diapers. You paid for it. White is probably not the best choice to wear right after having the baby. 🩸 Most of what’s needed is for mom. Baby just needs diapers. Milk. A place to sleep. Car seat. Some clothes - mostly pjs. Footies with snaps or zippers all the way to the feet. Sheets. Three is a good number with pads. You can layer them on the bed that way any accidents in the middle of the night you strip them off and throw in the wash. Quick and easy. You will learn quickly and be a great mom. Congratulations and many blessings for all of y’all.

Fed is best! Whatever way you choose and is best for y’all is what you should do. I tried breastfeeding with all 3 of mine. I contacted everyone for help including la Le he league with no help. My son was 7.7 at birth and lost till 5.10. We were both miserable. Finally formula is what saved us. My middle one got jaundice. Formula got him through that quickly. My third I had post eclampsia. High blood pressure after birth along with mastitis. It never worked for me. Don’t put extra pressure on yourself if you have any problems. Fed is best! All 3 of my kids are healthy! 23, 19, and 12. Good luck. Breastfeeding is hard. People make it look easy. I even took classes. It’s really hard.

THIS !!!!! oh my this many won't tell you but nursing CAN be painful, and dry cracked nipples only make it so much worse, best part is this doesn't hurt the baby... so if you have one like my first born that wanted to eat every hour for less than 10 minutes at a time, you can swab this on, then if it hasn't completely soaked in by the time they want to try again it's ok.
That cream and Witch-hazel pads on my pads were my best friends with every birth.
If you are nursing best things are shirts that button, or have the hidey holes to make it easier to get the baby to the boob with out having to feel like you are completely getting undressed each time they are hungry.

I would also suggest the Lansinoh nipple cream- it was a life saver for me. It’s all very tender the first few weeks and the cream helped from being super sore and cracked/dry and prevented scabbing/infection. Plus it’s safe to put on and immediately feed baby if necessary- no need to wipe it off before feedings. The cold/hot packs you got are great for when your milk comes in! There’s a lot of pressure and those are surely going to come in handy. Also if there’s long periods between feeding/pumping for any reason, it will relieve the discomfort of engorgement. Also when you wean your baby- those are going to be amazing. Just don’t forget to get some of that cream and throw it in your hospital/baby bag! I swore by it when I started breastfeeding! ❤️ so excited for you! Praying for a smooth and safe delivery and happy healthy baby and Mom ❤❤❤

Thank you for baby update. I have 2 pieces of advice for when baby comes, the two that really saved me personally…#1, sleep when baby sleeps. This transition will feel monumental but if you are rested it will help.. #2 advice…keep what works, throw the rest away. Everyone will have advice, some will work, some won’t. Don’t feel obligated. Just Do what works and give yourself grace ( especially with breast feeding). Only advice that is failsafe is sleep when baby sleeps.

Hubby did the laundry, hubby did the dishes, hubby did the cooking.... my job was to care for the baby, feed the baby and SLEEP... I cleaned house when baby was 2 months cause by then he miraculously started sleeping through the night and I could function again.

For your breasts, you can also use cold cabbage leaves to reduce inflammation and pain.
Your PJs look so cozy. I would keep the white pair at home, and use the darker pairs for the hospital. Typically the bleeding is heavier at the hospital, and it would be a shame to leak on those pretty new white pair.
I loved my nursing pillow for the hospital. It was so helpful. Nursing tank tops can also be comfortable and helpful postpartum. Your hospital bag looks perfect. But just so you know, I've absolutely brought a rolling suitcase in 🤣.
We are praying for you, for a quick and easy delivery and the same for recovery. ❤

And don’t wash all of your newborn or little ones right off the bat… Just because your ultrasound says you will be having a 7-7.5lb baby, don’t go off that, wait until you meet face to face! The day my nephew was born all three babies in the nursery that afternoon were 2+ pounds larger than the ultrasound had suggested they would be ….They were all from different drs, different offices, different US techs …. Needless to say, my sister had already washed a lot of newborn clothes {onesies, diapers, booties, etc} that my nephew was never able to wear. My mom had to run to the store and see if she could find the same ‘going home’ outfit in a 3-6/6-9 months because he was 10.13.

Mama of 3 here - I don't know if it's the same where you are, but in my area (North Texas), all of the post partum care stuff is provided and sent home with you from the hospital. My sweet nurses would come in and tell my hubby to unload supplies from my care cart with a wink and then go refill it so I would have plenty of the hospital undies (unattractive, but hey... they save you from making a mess of your nice ones), big pads, peri ice pack/pads, peri bottles, etc. The nice ones you bought will be a lovely luxury when you get home.
The biggest surprise (for me) was how fast they want you on your feet. I had a v-birth and epidural. As soon as they were done with initial "clean up" and ready to transfer me from my delivery room to my postpartum room they told me to stand up (with people there to help me in case I was unsteady) and move myself into a wheel chair. I remember looking at them like they were nuts. Ha! And then they want you to walk the halls a little bit once you get settled. It will sound like the worst idea ever, but it really helps!

Loved seeing your excitement for the upcoming birth of your baby. As a labor and delivery nurse, here is my advice. Relax and breath. Enjoy these last few weeks. Don’t take the white sleep set, you will just bleed through on it. They will feed you. They will give you pads and disposable undies. They will also give you a squirt bottle for peri care. You will only need ice for 24 hrs. The washable breast pads were well worth the money, get more. The breastfeeding bra is very cute. I suggest that you order some breastfeeding tops from Amazon. They are worth the money. You are going to rock this labor and delivery thing. Praying for you to have a safe healthy delivery for you and your baby. Have a blessed week.

They feed u garbage. Bring food.
Bad tears, alot of stitches need ice longer than a day. I was swollen several days.
I couldn’t even walk upright after my 1st, from pushing 3 1/2 hrs (sunnyside up baby), for 48 hrs. I doubled over n walked hunched up. I did it again my 2nd baby for a day but the babies after that, I was ok within a few hrs.

    • @crishertel
      @crishertel Год назад

@@YeshuaKingMessiah so sorry you had such a rough time and so many stitches. I wish I could have taken care of you. We could have done ice filled gloves and placed the fingers of the glove right on your stitches. We also could have done iced site baths for the first 24 hours. That would have gave you a deeper pain relief for a longer time than an ice pack. After the 24 hours of ice; I would have switched you to warm site baths. these increase the blood flow to the area. This increased blood flow will pull the fluid causing the swelling back into the blood stream and out of the interstitial spaces. There is a anti-inflammatory foam that can be used 3 times a day, and when placed on a tucks pad can help tremendously. Praying you have a much better delivery and recovery on your next go around. God Bless!

Beckie…the birth is beautiful. Your baby is going to be introduced to you. What’s better than that!? My second baby came one and a half months early. The day before we moved house.I decided not to sort anything until we’d moved house. I turned up at the hospital with not a thing. Not a nappy. Not a nightdress. It was just fine. People were so kind. My mum and sister sorted my new house. They put a Christmas tree up for me because they knew this is what would matter. I got out Christmas Eve at 7pm. I had not even a turkey for Christmas Day. Family all helped. I look back and it was the best time. I am the most organised person you will ever meet. At the end of the day I had a real Christmas tree and family to help. It was perfect. Sending happiness and prayers your way.😊 ps. The way Josh looked at you at that scan. Hey Becky! I just want to tell you you are doing an amazing job through this pregnancy! I'm 35 and I have had 4 kids. What I have learned is don't bring a bunch of stuff. You won't need it no matter how you have your baby. Bring your robe, bring pj's that is more of a dress so Dr can access your biscuit 😉, and you don't need slippers for the hospital. You get socks with grips at the bottom from the hospital, buy your own for home too. When you go to the hospital they give you so much supplies. Save your money and just ask the nurses for extra supplies. They are typically very generous and happy to give you what you need. Bring things that will make you feel good like essential oils. I brought my diffuser since I could not burn a candle. Bring a music play list and bring snacks. I had my favorite lotions and butters with me so my husband could so small rubs on my back feet legs. They give you items for the baby like diapers, formula if you decide to use it, just bring blanket, clothes, and a car seat. Bring your postpartum tea. I did and was thankful for it. Bring your pillow and favorite blanket to help you sleep. You don't have to if you don't want to it is extra but I recommend it. Bring snacks for the both of you.
It's your first baby. You will see what you don't need and what you do need later on but who cares. Get what you want and bring what you want. This is your time so do what makes you feel comfortable! Everyone has their opinion on what you should bring but you should bring what you want the 3 biggest pieces of advice I can tell you is 1. However, you have your baby is how God has intended for you to have your baby. There is no wrong or right way! Don't feel like a failure if you don't have your baby the way you planned. You are winning already and when baby comes you get to eat your cake too! 2. Don't stress about breast feeding sometimes it takes time for your milk to come in ( sometimes 4 to 5 days) there are a lot of lactation resources in and out of the hospital if you really want to breastfeed. Don't stress it will lower your supply. 3. This is all a blessing from God. Be in the moment! Don't worry about what you are doing right or wrong because you are doing what is right for you and your baby. It may not be the way I do it but that's okay. It's the way you do it. I swear something will come over you and give you everything you need to take care of your baby.
Sorry this was long but I just wanted to encourage you! Last tip......sleep when the baby sleeps😉 ps this never happens🤣.

Hi Becky! I am a mom of four and have a few suggestions for things you may want to have with you after you get home from the hospital 😊 Witch hazel (Tucks pads) are a godsend. Also, button down shirts for the first few weeks you are nursing, it make it easier for you to see when you are getting baby to latch. One thing I had wished that someone had told me was how uncomfortable nursing is at first. I think people are afraid that it will scare moms and they won’t want to try it…but it takes about two weeks for your body to get used to it. Keep going, it will get easier for both of you. My oldest is turning 18 tomorrow, so watching you has been like a link to my past ❤️. I am praying you have a safe and healthy delivery and can’t wait to see you with your new little one!

I agree 100% @canaltownstitchet9663. With your 1st labor could take a while. Music or podcast may help you through the contractions. Those ice pads were super comforting for me.The nurses will usually send you home with extra. Breastfeeding is tough in the beginning. Lean on the lactation consultant for help. Stick with it. It is such a rewarding bonding experience with your child. An extra botton down blouse, bra, and nursing pad with you at all times is a must when your milk comes in. You never know when a random baby will cry (while you're out) and cause your milk to let down. You will learn what's best for you & your baby as you go. Good luck on this next chapter. You will be a great mom and your baby will love no matter what.

Reading through these fantastic tips brings back memories of my friends - padsicles doused HEAVILY in aloe, witchhazel and dermaplast and a peri bottle for each bathroom after a 2nd degree tear! 😢
Amen to the lansinoh and chapstick 👌🏽 Amazing how little things like this make such a huge difference in providing relief and peace just when you need it!
Baby girl was LPI and didn't latch until her due date and I was getting discouraged. Hubby and my Mom were my biggest cheerleaders and I needed that encouragement to help me focus on relaxing and letting that process happen naturally...she latched and didn't let go for 3 years!!! Did a number on my hormones but I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat!
Savor every moment Becky! It all flies by so quickly! I was so blessed to be able to quit working 10 years ago and prepare for our darling little girl's arrival soon after we found out we were pregnant. And it made all the difference as I committed to cuddling, singing, nursing, smelling, examining, napping, staring at her...all day! 😊 Nothing is more important than your rest, health and peace these first few weeks/months.
Setting a rhythm in your home that works best for the 3 of you is crucial. We're Southern so there was no going out of the house for me besides ck ups and no visitors for at least 30 days. My mother saw to that! It didn't go over well with several relatives and friends but again we did what was best for us and it set the precedent for our family going forward. Our 9 yr old knows more about healthy boundaries than the average adult because of the work we did on the forefront in this regard - I digress, but when the time comes, just as others I'm sure have suggested, accept the help....let the dishes stay in the sink....let the laundry stay in the basket.....remember Josh will parent your baby in a unique way and he has the right, just as you do; and allow it ALL to be well with your soul! 🙏🏾
    Peace and blessings!

Currently pregnant with my 3rd and I just want to say to not stress so much about the hospital bag and having everything little thing in it. Most of what you'll bring you'll be surprised to learn you don't need. The hospital truly has nearly everything you could need. I usually make sure to have a change of clothes for myself to come home in, an outfit for the baby to come home in and my showering/hygiene items. Also worthy to bring would be a phone charger, flip flops for the shower and walking around (don't walk barefoot in a hospital 🤢), and glasses if you wear them. I bring a backpack and don't pack much for my hubby. Also if you happen to forget something, your hubby can always run home and get it. Even with my first my husband still went home for a while to shower, nap and let the dog out. You've got this!

I had some nursing bras and never used them because I had to pull my shirt all the way up in order to get to the bra, leaving my stomach completely exposed. When I had a nursing tank top or shirt I could just detach the one side I needed at a time and remain discreet. The ones I got were cute enough they could stand on their own without needing another shirt on top which I had to pull up. I am so excited for you and Josh, congratulations 🎉!!

Something else I asked family & friends was that if they wanted to send flowers, to send them to the house. Carrying the new baby in the car seat, the diaper bag, nursing pillow, other pillows & blankets, luggage, cooler with homemade healing bone broth & nourishing foods, AND multiple cases of flowers with water was just too much. It was much more fun to come home to a house full of flowers from the people we love.

You got a great haul of stuff!! As a momma of 4 who only discovered this with my last baby...of course lol...I highly recommend getting some adult diapers for the postpartum bleeding!! Especially for the first week or whenever your bleeding is heaviest. I personally used the always discreet boutique ones and they were definitely a lifesaver, as I didn't have to worry about pads over flowing and leaking onto my clothes. Good luck and I wish you the best during labor delivery and postpartum recovery! 💞

As a L&D nurse I think you have a lot of great ideas so far! (Comfy robe, pyjamas etc). One thing I would suggest to bring to the hospital is your favorite *clear fluids* incase you end up getting induced (and just in general)… Such as your favorite teas, broths, pops such as sprite, gingerale .. jellos etc ! It can be a long process and a long time to only be on a clear fluid diet ! Also ALL the snacks for afterwards postpartum!!

Some clinics must be different. I was induced with 3 out of 4 and I was eating and snacking without a care in the world. So I'm confused as to why they wouldn't let her eat? She will be in labor and really needing that fuel.

Best bit of advice I was given for packing a hospital bag was to put a lollipop in there. When you are labouring you can be nauseous but need some fuel and something to boost your blood sugar and you can just pop it in your cheek between contractions. Life saver! ❤️

My biggest suggestion from birth till they sleep through the night is buy nightgowns that tie on the bottom and have built in mittens! It makes diaper changes when you're delerious sooo much easier. It also keeps the baby's top half warm so they dont scream as much if cold bothers them. They are also much easier to put on and take off than outfits that have to insert little legs that want to stay tucked up. Then you can swaddle them or put them in a sleep sack and they are nice and comfy. Also nipple cream is life if you breastfeed/pump... congrats!

What I really wanted to say though is to relax and enjoy this time in your life. A baby reveals in you an entirely new way to love. There’s nothing like it. My son is now 29 and raising him was the best most fulfilling thing that my hubby and I have done in our lives. You’re gonna be an awesome mom and you’re gonna fall in love with that baby. Just breathe deep and prepare yourself for your heart to overflow with love. Praying for you! ❤️🙏🏼

The robe and slippers are a great idea. People have suggested lip balm and nipple cream. You can save a lot by just ordering pure lanolin. Nipple cream is just lanolin, but packaged in a tube, rather than in a small jar, and it makes the best chapstick that won't actually dry your lips out in the long run.
I wish you a wonderful birth experience and a great time for the three of you getting to know each other.

I can't believe your so close to baby coming!!!!! Time flies. I am a mother of three and grandmother of seven. The youngest was born last year and my daughter had me buy 2 boxes of those Frieda cooling pads. She had to have stitches and said they were a life saver! I would use the dark pj's until your flow slows down. Take some long overnight pads with you to the hospital. The ones the hospital uses can be very uncomfortable. Take some Lanolin cream, for your nipples, if your thinking of breastfeeding. And for baby, the hospital provides pretty much everything baby will need but for home A&D ointment works wonders for preventing diaper rash. I pray for a healthy and safe delivery. God Bless you and Josh!
