I love love love that you keep Baby A off camera. There are so many creeps on the internet and he can't consent to being online yet. Keeping those two sides of your life a little more separate makes perfect sense so you can focus on him, and he doesn't become part of your work. It's always felt so off putting to me when people use their babies as click bait.
Yeah, I deeply respect how she did this. She is able to preserve her relationship with her baby as something that is HERS, not something that is a source of income. In the long run, that will help foster a much healthier relationship with her kid as he grows up. And what a wonderful audience she's cultivated, who respect her decision. I also appreciate that she still shares with us her side of the experience of motherhood so openly - even just mentioning postpartum depression and anxiety, if only to say she was lucky not to have it, helps destigmatize that conversation.
Pam here….to me it is ‘her business, her choice’. I would love more of Josh and Baby, as well as her parents in her videos, and would watch her content with or without them.
This could not have been said any better. baby A cannot consent therefore should stay off the public platforms. Whole heartedly disagree with the family who do share every single detail for the world (so many people with horrible intentions). It is none of my business to know your family intimately…keep doing what you are doing Becky, I absolutely love your channel.
I also love that. It shows respect for the individual that Baby A is. I've always felt so badly when viewing children on reality shows when they were having a bad day or going thru an awkward time in their lives.
I really appreciate Becky for not turning Acre Homestead into a parenting channel. Soo many new parents can't help themselves but to stick the camera into a newborn's face all the time! I'm grateful she decided to stick to what made the channel so popular in the first place. btw, I love this logic of not bringing your kid into your workplace
I love what you were saying about how if Baby Acre wants to nap on your chest, that's what you are going to do. Made me remember a poem I was given when my son was born in 1979. "The cleaning and scrubbing will wait till tomorrow, For children grow up, as I’ve learned to my sorrow. So quiet down, cobwebs. Dust go to sleep. I’m rocking my baby and babies don’t keep." Love your videos! Thanks for the update.
Becky, I love your videos so much. I could watch you for hours. This may sound kind of silly to some people, but I love how personal you make me feel. Let me explain. I am a 68 year old mother, grandmother, and just found out that my daughter’s 2 children are expecting. So in early 2024 I will be a great grandmother. Now to my point. Whenever you say hello and goodbye, you don’t say goodbye to a crowd of people. You make each one of us feel that we had our own special time with you. I love when you say to “me”, and everyone else watching of course, bye friend. This is what I mean by you making your videos personal to each of us. Hope I am not the only person that feels this way. Love you and you “Acre Family” Have a blessed 4th. ❤❤❤
@joycedemolle4565 I feel the same way. 😊 I also watch a channel of a guy in Duluth, MN who does live vids featuring the freighters that pass thru and he always starts out with, "Hello Boat Friends!" It's just a nice thing to hear and makes you feel welcome.
Thank you for your amazing content it was so nice to watch your Q&A and get caught up on how things have been going for you. I love hearing about how you are finding motherhood and baby A and totally appreciate you keeping him off the internet. Thank you so much for all the work you do I find your videos so comforting, entertaining and inspiring thank you!
Hi, could you please give me the name of the channel from Duluth, Minnesota? My dad used to bring my brother and I to watch the freighters and the bridge raise and lower. Our favorite time to go was in the winter. Those ice cutters are amazing. Eventually my dad's job moved us out of Minnesota. I was born up in the mining towns an hour away from Duluth. Thank you, Debbie Lavigne ❤
Your kids will not remember how clean your house is, they will remember your presence/time with them! Enjoy it! My kids are 22,20 and 17 and I couldn’t be more happy with how they’ve grown!
Mine are 40, 38, 34 & 18, 16 Any times in my life I had to work outside the home I HATED and still regret I would give anything to have always been mothering rather than anything else
Sometimes moms find it hard to not manage the other parent when the baby is born since they carried it. With that said your birth difficulty was a blessing in disguise as y’all got to skip that step! We all knew Josh would be a fabulous dad and he got to show his stuff right out of the gate.
That’s odd. Carrying a child doesn’t mean you get a manual on parenting downloaded into your brain. It’s not necessary to make a painful part of her birthing journey a blessing, you know. My journey was very, very similar to hers and I can’t imagine looking at that experience as a blessing. It was simply traumatic. Thats all and that’s ok! Husband would’ve learned alongside me even if I wasn’t debilitated by the aftermath of a cesarean and epidural headache. Dad and mom should both learn together and support each other as the other needs!
You are absolutely correct...marriage is NOT 50/50.....divorce is 50/50! Marriage is 100/100. If you're not both giving your marriage all you have to give, why even bother. You give it your best (whatever that looks like on any given day) and communicate especially on the days you don't feel like you have it in you. A good partner picks up the slack. Been married 35 years (since I was 18 and he was 20) so I guess we're doing something right!
My husband was just like Josh. In fact, my husband basically taught me how to take care of our baby. My husband is 4th of 6 boys. He was 13 when the two younger ones were born. He helped with them a lot. Now he’s a fantastic grandpa!
Like so many others have already said, I have SO MUCH RESPECT for you keeping Baby off camera. I think there are several valid points as to why that's a good idea. I have been wondering if Josh is taking care of him on the days that you are doing your massive tomato hauls, canning etc. I'd wondered if you two had gotten a part time nanny LOL
I love how honest you are Becky! I love that you admit entirely that RUclips is a full-time job. Most people (myself included) don't realize how much creating content entails. I'm sure you don't realize how much your influence helps others, especially young mothers and young wives. You are a blessing to many and much appreciated
I think that you have done so well keeping baby Acre private. It's nice to hear he is doing well every so often and that's all we need to know. I have a lot of respect for you making that decision. 😊
You are absolutely adorable!! You amaze me being so young and knowing so much! I’m 69 and just now learned how to boil water. Thank you for showing how East it can be. I wish there were more your age doing what you do. Congratulations on your baby. I’m a retired nurse an I knew what was happening. I wish I could of helped. I appreciate you. You and your family are in my prayers. Thank you for being you. Jeanette \
Becky, I really appreciate you being upfront and honest with your viewers. I know that having support from family or hiring a housekeeper and/or babysitter is important. I had someone who came to my house once a week for 2-3 hours and did a reset for my house. She changed the sheets, swept, mopped, cleaned bathrooms and reset my kitchen for me. If I had anything else I needed done, she was so happy to do it. I loved having that person. I started with asking a family member to do it and paying them. Most of my life someone in the family loved coming in and doing that for me while making a little extra money. I can not wait for that bread project to get done! I need to get all that done in my house.
I had a business doing exactly this for several years (until I had to stop for physical/health reasons). I absolutely loved it. It was so rewarding and such a joy to know that I was a huge help to other people. I miss it….
I did beauty work as a cosmetologist and beauty adviser for 45 years, however when I came to NC I gave it up and stumbled on a lady that needed help with her house so while looking for another job I helped her and the word went around so after 6 years at the age of 68 I’m still doing housekeeping and is so rewarding I love my families….
You just gave me the perfect idea to give to my daughter who is pregnant with baby number two! A housecleaner would be a huge help to her. Thanks for the idea!
I do this as a side hustle, and I love feeling like I make a measurable difference in quality of life for the elderly people I work for. I've done everything from basic chores to deep cleaning/organizing in the past 10 years, and it's so rewarding. Since I work primarily with older folks, they appreciate me taking a minute to chat. Everyone likes to feel like someone cares for them, even if it's just their weekly cleaning lady.
I think it's very wise for you to keep the baby private. Please ignore any pressure by RUclips viewers to make decisions based on opinions/comments. Thank you so much for sharing. As always, you are an inspiration and a blessing to watch. Oh ya, you're kitchen is beautiful as-is.
You are the quintessential organizer , I love to watch you in motion , and I am still learning so much from you after all my years of cooking ....you are a joy to me .
I knew from the minute Josh knew you were pregnant that he would be a hands-on dad, he is truly supportive. which is a bonus these days. love the Q&A and can not believe little one is 6 months already, really appreciate your decision as to keep his identity safe, Not always a good decision to have children on social media. good to hear he is doing well. and so are you and Josh. Love to you all xxx
Oh my goodness, I really enjoyed this Q& A session!!! 😊Thank you so much for answering all of those wonderful questions about so many things. I want to say this, for you and anyone reading my comment. Becky , I was so happy when you said that being a Mom is your number 1 job!! Even though you work full time with your Chanel and you are doing something you absolutely love, you still realize that being a Mom is the most important job you have. Like I said , it made me really happy to hear you say that. And here is why. I’m 61 years old. I have no idea how that happened!! My first child turned 38 years old year yesterday and my Daughter will be 33 in February. I have no idea how that happened either. Our Children are a gift from God. They are a Blessing!! Unfortunately, time marches on, and before you know it, they are all grown up. In my opinion, we don’t get near enough time with them, especially as babies. This is such a special time in your lives, yours, Your Husband’s and the Babies. There is nothing like it, and you will never ever have it again, with this child. Soak each and every minute up!!! Allow yourself to enjoy every second of it, document every milestone. Breath in those baby smells, make a mental recording of those precious baby squeals, allow yourself to feel great joy every time those tiny little hands wrap around your finger. Kiss those sweet little baby feet as much as you can. And no matter how tired you might be, never pass up the chance to hold that tiny little person on your chest, right next to your heart. Because before you know it, all of those opportunities will be gone, they will be grown up and off living their own lives, and you will look in the mirror and realize that you yourself are now 61, but you will be able to look back, and those sounds, smells and feelings will come rushing back, and they will be the sweetest memories. I had all of that, and I swear it was just yesterday!! I’m not telling you or anyone to not have a job that you love. That’s not my point at all. Soak it all in while you can and Don’t Blink. As you say, Give yourself Grace and take in every second of this special time in your life. I think I’m taking a long walk down memory lane!😊❤ P.S. I agree with you keeping his life private. But maybe you could describe how cute he is…?😇 Love your Channel, keep up the great work!!
I made all my son's baby food (16years ago) and it's so worth it! I 100% recommend doing so. I made batches of what he was eating for the week and it was such a time saver.
Keep him safe and healthy, there’s no reason for you to have Baby A on your channel ❤ I like watching you do your gardening, cooking and doing Q&A 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 and love the cleaning/organizing too 😂
I absolutely 💯 agree with keeping Baby Acre off camera. A RUclipsr I know who went thru a divorce with two little ones had to take legal action against a few people who started stalking her and her children😢 This lady abruptly changed her RUclips channel to travel & exercise instead of home & family. It's wonderful that you have family close by to help out when you want/need it. Working from home is a great gig!! Happy 4th of July🇺🇲🇺🇲
Becky, thank you for being you! One of the many things I love about you and your channel is that you don't pretend that everything in your home is perfect. Women are so pressured to have a perfectly clean house, perfectly organized, perfectly decorated ect. If you fail at something you just laugh it off and say it's okay but you don't edit it out. We are all blessed to have you in our lives.
Your honesty and straight forward communication is a refreshing gift! Even as a 68 year old woman, I have incorporated several of your food prep practices and we have reaped the benefits, I now marinade meats in the freezer, freeze garlic, and even planted a couple of tomatoes in pots, all because of your encouragement! Thank you!❤
Since you like Italian food, I would suggest investigate recipes for Eggplant Parmesan and a way to try it. I am not even a big eggplant fan fun my sister made Parm and it was delish! It’s easy, too.
My sister has IC also. Most people really don’t know anything about this disease unfortunately. She has a very severe case and sees a Urologist who has specialized in IC and pretty much changed her life. I hope you have many blessings in health and family. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Becky, I’ve not ever heard anyone say they wished they had spent less time with their children. Make the memories and special times with no guilt, as you say, they are only little for a little while. May God continue to bless you and your family.
Two things (in particular) I love from this video: 1. The way pregnancy and childbirth can reset our bodies. It’s incredible! 2. The privacy you are protecting for Baby Acre! ❤
My husband and I used to say okay it's your turn to fall apart. When life got stressful we just worked together best we could. Almost 38 years now. One of the most important things- express gratitude fully and in detail. You two are good at that.
I love that you keep baby private! I really appreciate that. ❤ I love the explanation you give to keep work and family separate that became a bonus from the choice you made to keep him private. That makes a lot of sense!
“The more plants you kill, the better Gardner you’ll become” I am on target to become the best 😂 Thank you for the info and encouragement regarding gardening.
Hi! You are amazing. If I had made better choices in my younger years I would have been a lot like you. I'm 3 1/2 years sober now. I have an awesome garden. I've always enjoyed cooking and feeding folks. Thank you for sharing yourself.
The craziness I see people post about you and your baby on other channels would be enough for me to never show my child’s face. I’ll continue to follow your homesteading journey and love seeing your parents make cameo appearances
I absolutely adore your soul Becky. I am 51 and have learned more from you here on your channel, than I have most places. You have changed my life, truly. The best thing I have learned from you, is to give myself grace. Life changing moment lady. You are such a sweet soul. Thank you so much for the raw and real content. I appreciate all of your hard work. Big hugs to you and your sweet husband. Excellent team!! You rock!
You are hands down the best homemaker channel on here 🥰 sadly so many make their babies part of the channel because they know that they'll get more views. It's actually scary how many creeps hiding in plain sight can be seen on the videos with children. You are an amazing mammy, wife and human by not selling your precious family life 🥰 please never change and keep up the great work. Much love and all of God's blessings for you and your family 🙏
I honestly used to be the kind of person who followed family vloggers. I struggle with infertility and health issue and it just helped me feel better. Now I have realized how damaging it can be for the kids and the family. I am so happy to see the progress and see you making an informed decision for your little boy. ❤
As a viewer I respect and appreciate that your baby is offline. I love hearing updates like this, but I don’t come to your videos to see your baby (I’m sure he is the cutest thing ever though!!) I come to see what you are cooking, planting or doing with your house. I love your channel and your videos seem to be just the right amount of personal sharing but also it is not centered on that. Thanks for making awesome content, I am always excited to see you post!
I love that you keep him separate. As a parent Im not sure why people post so much about their children. It makes me feel uneasy that strangers can view them like that. And honestly let's be real, this is not a family vlog channel. Note does it need to be. We're here because we love you Becky and seeing your garden and cooking adventures.
Agreed! So glad Becky and Josh have made the wise decision to keep their children private!🎉 I know the movement to create laws regarding child content is taking off. All these young family content creators who feature their kids in their vlogs really need to be regulated. So many creepy people online copying footage of children and posting it on nefarious websites. Exploitation of children to make money is wrong, and these family channels refuse to listen to the warnings. I can’t imagine how the kids of those channels feels to be living under a microscope😢
One thing you are absolutely right about is you can't replace the time that you spend with the people you love. I can remember walking into a store with my 10 year old daughter holding my hand and wondering if it would be the last time because she was getting older. She's 16 now and is going through the things she should be doing at her age. At the end of our days, we will not wish that we had dusted or bought something. We will treasure the time we spent enjoying other humans.
What a wonderful and intelligent young lady you are. You never cease to amaze me Becky. God bless you and your beautiful family and thank you for giving us so much of your time . I enjoy everything about your channel. ❤️
Becky, as someone who has followed you since the start, I am glad you have gone back to making gardening videos. As much as I loved seeing your baby, it did unfortunately ruffle the trolls out from under the rocks. You do you. We watch because you are fun! and genuine. -Cece!
I have to say after watching part 1&2 of your birth story i felt not so alone in my own situation... I also had to go back into the hospital a week after having our baby home, and I felt so much extreme guilt about it. My husband, my dad and my cousin pulled together and made it all ok and made sure baby was well taken care of. WE have some of the best partners!
I’m a 67 yr old grandma, and I always fed my kids and grandkids whatever we were eating. Used a good grinder and froze the food in ice cube trays. It worked well. Love spending time in the kitchen and garden with you❤ you are a blessing. God bless you and your beautiful family.
I was just going to mention that. That's what I did too. I have also heard that people have had good luck with dehydrated or freeze dried foods, powdering and reconstituting as needed. Saves freezer space too
You have helped me learn that it's ok when not everything gets done. I used to feel so guilty that I wasn't as productive as I thought I should be. Watching you "give yourself grace" has been a real life changer for me. I love that you show us the struggles and the change of plans. Thank you.
I’m new to your channel and I am obsessed with your videos. Watching you stay on task is just amazing to me. My husband and I have always wanted to do what you’re doing. Hopefully we will get there one day. Thanks for the amazing content.
Thank you for this video Becky. I have two babies and I’m a stay at home mom. My eldest is almost 3 and my youngest is 4 months and it’s so hard to get anything done. I felt like I was a failure because some days, I can’t get much done at all. Much less make time for myself like working out or even going grocery shopping. So it’s nice to know that you have those days too.
6 Months old already, wow. As much as I watch you and try to do what you do without a baby or job, I am still NOT Becky. LOL Love the show, as you know I have seen almost all of them, getting there. I want to thank Josh for helping you so we can have time with you too. Thank you for being here, God Bless.
It is so nice that you recognize how much of a blessing it is to have a true partner in raising your child. So refreshing to hear how you both communicate in order to meet each other's needs. Also, so glad to hear that baby is doing well and thriving!
Great Video Becky. I am glad you decided to separate work and home life, once they are mixed it is hard to set boundaries. Your bundle of Joy deserves his privacy, and private time with both his parents.
Thank you for the gardening and cooking/homestead content and for keeping baby acres privacy, nice to hear he's doing well x Love the content you have.
I agree. I think folks can appreciate it if Becky creates some content including food prep for a baby but to keep the baby himself out of the videos. This will help them maintain a family boundary for family private life vs Becky's public life. Becky, please stay focused on homesteading and do not bring your child into your content.
FARM KITCHEN ???? WHERE? THERE IS NOTHING TO INDICATE THAT. THERE ARE NO PICTURES, CURTAINS, KNICKNACTS, OR ANYTHING THAT WOULD SHOW ANY WARMTH , WHATSOEVER. YOU MUST BE HIGH, LOL!
I love watching your videos! You are so real! You are quick to show us your “oops” moments rather than edit everything to perfection! Those oops moments makes us chuckle because we relate as all of us are a work in progress! God bless you and your family with His love and presence!
One person commented on not feeling productive. One thing that helped me was what I call “stolen moments”. We all do it to some extent when we wipe down the counter while something is heating in the microwave. But if you actively look for opportunities they are everywhere, you can make bigger tasks so much easier and quicker. I hate folding clothes, but if I grab or fold an item every time I go into the laundry room and put a couple of things away each time I go upstairs to the bedroom then doing laundry is almost painless. Someone else’s stolen moments will look different, but it sure made my life much easier when I was a working mom doing shift work.
I'm so glad you treat youtube as a job with work/life boundaries. I think the nature of the platform and work from home life makes it so easy to get the lines blurred and it takes significant intention/effort to make sure you maintain boundaries. I can only imagine how hard it would be to have to continually enforce boundaries with 400,000+ subscribers.
Thank you for respecting you son's privacy. There are some RUclipsrs out there that use their children more as props to their channel. Great channel, so happy your recovery has been going so well now.
You are absolutely one of the sweetest most authentic humans I've ran across in a long time. I'm pretty new to watching RUclips and really on recently took the time to explore. I've been following your journey for a couple months and, I've went back and watched most of your videos from the beginning. I've enjoyed the experience. This was a really nice video.I loved hearing that your health is back on track, and baby A and Josh are doing well. You are very encouraging, aways reassuring your friend that no one can do it all! Thank you for sharing, continued blessings to you and your family.
Thanks for the update/Q&A. I've been so busy and gotten sooo far behind on your videos, it's not funny. (I'm still back when you were just starting to building the garden. I haven't even seen the finished project-ugh.) This video helped me understand where Baby A is when you are doing all this stuff. I always thought it was a daily thing. Explaining that it's usually just 2 days a week makes more sense. I live alone (with 2 dogs), and you've been an inspiration for me to save on money (especially important on my low fixed income) by not cutting recipes in half, or letting the leftovers languish in the fridge until the dogs enjoy them. I will cut up the extra amount into another 1 or 2 meals and stash them in the freezer. I still work part-time, and some days just wear me out. It's so great to be able to come home, and simply thaw out a meal. I've wanted to start a small garden, but any place that would be good for one, my dogs have access to. One loves to dig. You suggested to one person that they should start out with raised beds. That never occurred to me. I might just give that a try next year. Thanks for sharing you learning experiences, and knowledge with all of us. It's really appreciated. Hugs from Oklahoma
I’m a very small RUclipsr and your channel is one of the reasons I chose not to include my kids on videos anymore. Your setting a healthy trend to respect certain personal boundaries and I respect that!
Once you have an infestation of fungus gnats in your house plants…you will never let soil in without sterilizing it. I use all organic gardening outside. But I water my indoor plants with mosquito bits and also use boiling water on all bags of soil I bring in to up-pot! Thanks for another wonderful video, Becky.❤
I have heard that watering your plants with a diluted hydrogen peroxide water can "sterilize" the gnats away (or something like that, maybe it kills the eggs )- have you ever tried it?
@@christineb8148 I did try this early on, and for me it didn’t seem to have an effect. If you have a particular plant that you know is infested, I would isolate in another room, wait as long as possible to water (they love damp and water logged earth), and then water after this with mosquito bits. I put the mosquito bits in little bags so they don’t clog up my water can.
@@this.vibrantlife Thanks! The mosquito bits trick is a great tip! I try to bottom water my indoor plants as much as possible, which does seem to help, but I should use the mosquito bits to do everything else.
You’re welcome! Yes, bottom watering is good. But when you have active larva, you want to water with mosquito bits from top to saturate and kill those lil buggers. I lost some plants during the “great fungus gnat infestation of 2021”.🤣 But since this practice, I haven’t had any. 🤞 Good luck!
I recently found your channel and really enjoy your cooking videos (I don’t garden… yet!) You are so “real” , so articulate so organized, and so inspirational! Could you one day tell us how you learned all to cook? Did you learn from your mother or through formal training or all on your own?
For Charlotte: Becky gave great advice! You just haven’t gotten your green thumb to engage yet. I very, very highly recommend getting a Greenstalk vertical planter for learning gardeners. They are so easy to grow plants in whether you start seeds or buy started plants. Go a hand and get a spinner base with the tower. You will be so thankful! Just set each tier up with good potting mix and a handful of PlantTone or BioTone, a half cup or so of worm castings, water the soil and plant. The built in water reservoirs make it so easy to grow plants without overwatering and you won’t need to weed at all. If you love flowers, start off planting it up with those. There are so many videos on RUclips showing how to set up and grow in them. This is the only way I grow lettuce now. So easy!
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again… You are inspirational! I am 63 years old and look so forward to your videos because you give me ideas and help me freshen up my mind and band width, lol. Something folks should remember about gardening too is that what worked last year may not work this year. I don’t know why but it seems like every year there’s one specific thing that nobody does well in the whole area such as cucumbers and the following year it’ll be corn in the following year it’ll be zucchini etc. it’s always changing and we just do the best that we can. I have planted more food this year because of watching your videos. Thank you Becky and God bless you and your whole family!
I agree, I haven't noticed a difference in style with outsourcing the editing. Excellent choice in editor for the seemless flow. I also highly support your choice to have baby off camera.
Thank you for letting us get to know you better. I don’t blame you for keeping your son off camera. Mine is 19, and I wouldn’t put her on videos if I had a channel either. People criticize that your house is too neat to have a baby there, but I don’t get why. When mine was a baby, I had an eBay store (now I do Etsy), and our house looked immaculate too when guests came over. When you clean up things immediately and have a spot for everything, it’s not too bad. My husband also works in I.T. from home. His office is right next to the laundry room, so he just throws the laundry in before work, and I fold it when it’s done. It works out great for us. It sounds like Josh is a great help at home too.
I have such strong feelings about RUclips parenting so i fully support your choices! The best comparison i can think of is preacher's kids.... i have heard them describe living in a fish bowl, a parent's job being affected by their behavior, not being allowed to just be a kid, have feelings, etc. I wondered how on screen vs off screen parenting differs. That clear line resolves that before it ever becomes an issue!
Thank you for sharing about how you get stuff done with baby. I’m a mom of two littles and trying to “do it all” is overwhelming. I watch your videos and envy the “free time” you have to focus on those things you’re passionate about and obviously someone else is caring for the baby in the meantime. I love my babies. I just don’t have a village like you and it’s incredibly hard to wear more than one hat, if that makes sense… I’m so glad to see you thriving in motherhood and homesteading things. Thanks for sharing with us.
I have enjoyed your videos very much and respect your choice to keep baby private. Very responsible and good parenting! That said I do enjoy the updates.
Becky thank you for sharing you life with us. It’s really encouraging to hear “ it’s okay not to do it all. “ I love watching your progress and learn so much from you. Thank you
I discovered you about a month ago and I love every video I have watched! Your new home is just lovely and the view is magnificent! Congrats on your baby and I think you're smart to keep him off camera. I have four sons and they are wonderful grown men now (always my boys though) and I didn't have to worry about internet trolls when they were growing up! I enjoy your cooking style and have printed many recipes and tried a bunch too. Sadly, I am now a widow and so usually am only cooking for myself but I like to freeze meals so I can cook once and have food for many days. So, hugs to you and your sweet family and thank you so much for all you share - I'm always looking forward to the next idea as I do enjoy cooking and baking! Take good care of yourself!
My mom said that my dad was a great help to her during those days when we where born. He was like Josh, he would literally take time off to take care of our mom and us babies 1-2 months before he goes back to work. Seldom will you meet a partner who can be like that at your most needed time to get back to everything.
Really enjoyed our chat 😊 very informative and interesting. I’m glad you allow yourself to have help with the baby, video editing and to just say, today I’m chilling out with my favourite people or myself.
I wanted to help Becky answer the question about fungus gnats. I have dealt with those little buggers every year since moving to my new homestead and doing all of my seed starts. I had to do a lot of research along with several trial and errors to figure this problem out and the thing that works the best is ‘Mosquito Bits’! Great video Beck, keep up the great work!
This comes at such a good time! I never see your baby and you are still so busy, that I was afraid to ask about him, cause I was afraid something might have happened to him!! So glad you clarified that he is doing good!!!
Enjoyed your video. I totally understand you and Josh's decision to keep the your baby private. You made the right choice. Just sharing things like he's teething and you and he spend time in the garden is nice to hear.
You said you get anxiety… generalized. I think that’s part of the reason why you are so successful and talented. You are so detail oriented. That’s why I love to watch! Seems like you were able to make that work for you or really beneficial
Good morning Becky good choice about separating job and baby. Don't burn out ok. You are doing a great job. I love your videos. Asking to help is a good thing!
Absolutely love watching you. You and your husband make such a great team. Love that you are going through life with a caring husband and a wonderful little one. Thank you so much for sharing your life
I have to admit, I watched this video twice before commenting ❤ I admire all you do, and I must say my admiration has gotten deeper. You're a true inspiration and blessing😊 I felt a calm when you said...we can't do it all, none of us. Big sigh, I think we all needed your calm today, I know I did. Many blessings to you and your wonderful family. Safe holiday 🙏 💙
This was such a nice video! I grabbed a cup of coffee and a nice slice of warm banana bread and sat down and relax for an hour and watched your beautiful video. Thank you!❤
It was so nice to hear you talk about Baby A and motherhood. Respecting your decision to leave him out of the videos and to hear your excitement about his milestones just rounded out your homestead life. Thanks for working so hard to make awesome and informative videos for us.
You said it better than I did. ❤
I'm grateful she decided to stick to what made the channel so popular in the first place.
btw, I love this logic of not bringing your kid into your workplace
totally agree. If folks can't accept that maybe its time for them to find another channel.
Thank you for the update🥰💓💓💓
@lynette3976 Boo just go back to 💤 .I ain't going there with you today .smh
Also for safety reasons for their family. So thankful for verbal updates is Becky and Josh are so led. Don't need to see baby A
@lynette3976 zzzzzz
I love what you were saying about how if Baby Acre wants to nap on your chest, that's what you are going to do. Made me remember a poem I was given when my son was born in 1979.
"The cleaning and scrubbing will wait till tomorrow,
For children grow up, as I’ve learned to my sorrow.
So quiet down, cobwebs. Dust go to sleep.
I’m rocking my baby and babies don’t keep."
Love your videos! Thanks for the update.
What a cute poem 🥺
My sister in law gave me that same poem that she had embroidered. I love it.
Aw thanks for being here and watching! It's a blessing for sure!
These are my favorite types of videos
Privacy is worth everything in this internet world of ours. What a meaningful gift for baby A. Thank you for keeping him off the RUclips algorithm.
Your kids will not remember how clean your house is, they will remember your presence/time with them! Enjoy it! My kids are 22,20 and 17 and I couldn’t be more happy with how they’ve grown!
Mine are 40, 38, 34 & 18, 16
Any times in my life I had to work outside the home I HATED and still regret
I would give anything to have always been mothering rather than anything else
Sometimes moms find it hard to not manage the other parent when the baby is born since they carried it. With that said your birth difficulty was a blessing in disguise as y’all got to skip that step! We all knew Josh would be a fabulous dad and he got to show his stuff right out of the gate.
Well said!
Aaaaaand THIS THIS right here is what being completely humble and transparent is… BECKY you ARE the BEST… keepn it real is where it’s at… love ya girl

You are such a kind person. God bless you!
❤🙏❤🙏❤
I have a weekly cleaner as it’s a big house and even though it’s just me & hubby & 6 dogs it’s hard going 😂
You are nearly at half a million subscribers Becky!! Won’t be long until you have a million followers. Love your channel. ❤️🙏🇮🇪
I think I’m taking a long walk down memory lane!😊❤
P.S. I agree with you keeping his life private. But maybe you could describe how cute he is…?😇
Love your Channel, keep up the great work!!
Love, love, love your description of how you are Baby A’s mom when you are with him and nothing else. Cheers for you! You’ll never regret it
I made all my son's baby food (16years ago) and it's so worth it!
Two things (in particular) I love from this video:
Same 😂
Hi! You are amazing. If I had made better choices in my younger years I would have been a lot like you. I'm 3 1/2 years sober now. I have an awesome garden. I've always enjoyed cooking and feeding folks. Thank you for sharing yourself.
Congrats on your sobriety
Your explanation of keeping baby "private" was absolutely amazing. Hats off to you! Love your channel ❤❤❤
I love to see a happy momma!!!
I think it's wonderful you have such a loving family and a schedule that's so flexible to be able to raise your baby. Your such a delight to watch...
Thank you for the update. Great to hear baby acre is doing well. 💜💜
I’m a 67 yr old grandma, and I always fed my kids and grandkids whatever we were eating. Used a good grinder and froze the food in ice cube trays. It worked well. Love spending time in the kitchen and garden with you❤ you are a blessing. God bless you and your beautiful family.
Ice cubed mash vegies are brilliant. My kids loved it and I felt great knowing it wasn't filled with extra man made chemicals.
Honestly I love watching you do chores like laundry and organizing and cleaning up. It gives me motivation to do my own chores
So wise about being in the moment with your baby. My precious babies are now men and you look up and say ‘where did the time go?’
Great Video Becky. I am glad you decided to separate work and home life, once they are mixed it is hard to set boundaries. Your bundle of Joy deserves his privacy, and private time with both his parents.
Thank you for the gardening and cooking/homestead content and for keeping baby acres privacy, nice to hear he's doing well x
Love the content you have.
I agree. I think folks can appreciate it if Becky creates some content including food prep for a baby but to keep the baby himself out of the videos. This will help them maintain a family boundary for family private life vs Becky's public life. Becky, please stay focused on homesteading and do not bring your child into your content.
Becky, I love your beautiful farm kitchen. It's classic, timeless and obviously built to last. Especially it's bright and cheerful.
Me too!!! I think the kitchen is perfect! 😍
Me three
FARM KITCHEN ???? WHERE? THERE IS NOTHING TO INDICATE THAT. THERE ARE NO PICTURES, CURTAINS, KNICKNACTS, OR ANYTHING THAT WOULD SHOW ANY WARMTH , WHATSOEVER. YOU MUST BE HIGH, LOL!
I support your choice to keep the baby off camera! I babysit my Grands several times a week. It is a blessing to make those memories.
I love your perspective on not doing it all! Sooo important to remember!! As a mama to an almost two year old, I couldn't agree more!!
So much respect for you keeping Motherhood and work separate.
Excellent video! Thanks for being so transparent and informative! Kudos to you for keeping your baby private yet sharing snippets of his life
I'm so glad you treat youtube as a job with work/life boundaries.
I absolutely love your explanation on separating your work and baby A from your work. Totally respect your decision.
So easy!
You can never talk to much as it’s fun and I learn tons
Thank you for answering our questions. It is so lovely to get to know your family and you.
I was told a marriage is 100% 100% give what you both can to other things but 100% to each other.
The lavender sweater is a very flattering color on you.
I love your explanation of why your son isn’t on your social media! He’s lucky to have a respectful mom! New subscriber!
You are just such a special person, Becky. Thank you for sharing your life with us! I live across the country from you, but consider you a friend 💖
Being a Mom is one of the most important jobs in the world. Being in the home is even better.
Becky and Josh you are doing great, no two families are alike,
This was such a nice video!
