As an emergency nurse who is both hospital & helicopter based, PLEASE label every cleaner regardless of how "natural” it is!! Should Baby A (God forbid) get into those bottles, I can 100% confirm that you, Josh, grandparents, whoever is there will not have the right frame of mind to tell us what was in the bottles when we are demanding to know. At minimum, label the bottoms & behind the silicone sleeve where they are barely visible, but can be found. The bamboo bag & roll organizer drawer turned out great, but the lids for your spices are absolutely my favorite! All the leftover chilies from your enchilada sauce would look great on your pantry shelf in jars with some of the your extra lids too (vs the bags)! The kitchen is really coming together 🤗💜!

The fact that Josh doesn’t spend as much time in the kitchen is a good reason to have labels. You are the only one who knows what is in your container. Anyone else isn’t aware and that is frustrating when they are trying to help.

Just so you're aware, oils (especially avocado oil) need to be stored in dark glass containers (notice the avocado oil originally came in a dark glass bottle). The light will deteriorate the oil causing it to go rancid. Just a heads up, I know oils can be expensive and I would hate to see yours go bad (like mine did 😑).

Those jar lids look good. A nice labeling compromise might be to label the bottom of a few items. For example, on the ziptop bag holder, label the inside of the hole (where you look into it when empty). That way when it's empty, it's obvious what to refill it with, without the label being on display. With the spices, you could label the bottom of the jar. That way it's still labeled for the sake of identifying what's inside, but it wouldn't be on display. As for cleaners, you really should label them for safety's sake. Many shouldn't be used together, and labeling prevents accidents.

My kitchen cabinets are driving me crazy and I was going to a complete kitchen remodel, then I was just going to paint the cabinets and now I have decided to just put on new hardware and replace my dining set with an island to give me more storage. This video was so inspiring and when I get home, I’m house sitting and animal sitting g for my daughter and son-in-law who took the kids to Disney, that I’m going to get to work on organization. I would love to do the kitchen but my first step is going to be to get my pantry room organized, which will only take a couple of days and then move onto the kitchen. Yeeeeeeeees, along with the dog gone boxes and boxes and containers, acck! I'm like Becky on this! However, I could only *dream* of a kitchen this big and functional. Trust me when I say we've got a small kitchen but we make it work for us. We do the best with what we've got. I would love to have these organizers but we're being extremely frugal and paying on debts right now. I'm still dreaming of so much, like gardening etc. I can't wait to ever get my hands on some gardening stuff like what she's got. The heating mat, plus her plant tower. Among lots of other things. The organizers she's got too. (The boxes for the baggies and the under the sink organizer.) Sometimes, it just takes being 'simple' to love what you've got even that much more. Tiny baby steps like this really can change your mindset on things. Similar to painting a room a new color.

I just discovered your channel and have been enjoying your videos. I really liked this one about organizing because I am adding a walk-in pantry to my fairly small kitchen. So I am looking for good organizational ideas. The one thing I did notice when you were talking about the rings on your home canned produce. I have been canning for many years and I learned through safe canning procedures that you are not supposed to keep the screw tops on the jars. They should be removed when you wipe your jars and store them. Leaving them on can give a false seal. I encourage you to look into that for the safety of your home processed foods. Thanks again for all you share.

Plus, hanging them on the inside of the door frees up space inside cabinets and drawers.

I totally agree with you on the cookie scoop being a game changer! I absolutely love the ease of use, but I need to upgrade mine to a more durable model like yours as the gears on mine keep jumping teeth, which prevents the swing arm from clearing the entire scoop. If you don't already do this, I suggest using the ice cream scoop size for dishing out muffin & pancake batter. Perfectly sized muffins & pancakes every time!

Speaking as someone with ocd, I totally understand wanting even the small things to be aesthetically calming and nice to look at. And by adding these small changes to your most used space, you really are creating a calm and enjoyable space for yourself by reducing all the things that you don't like to look at that may trigger any unpleasant feelings (such as text, visible advertising etc) and there's so many products out there to choose from that cater to this goal so it's nice to know we can do this to improve our spaces. I love the look of the bamboo!

Love, love, love this type of content so thank you! I've been on an organizing mission for the past couple of years and every time I get one spot sorted, I sigh in relief. The under bathroom and kitchen sinks were heavenly to me. I bought a bronzy metal mesh 2 drawer unit for under the bathroom sink to organize my hair appliances (large bottom drawer), and for storing q-tips boxes, extra dental floss, etc (smaller top drawer)--it was like choirs of angels sang for me at that moment!!! The under kitchen sink was also transformational for both me and my love--we absolutely love it. The other project that brought great joy was when I purchased a metal sliding pull out drawer for a lower cabinet--this now houses all of our food storage containers and lids and has made our lives so much better. My husband thought I was spending too much on all of this until he helped me put it all together and now he is a convert to my OCD ways.🤣

I am a Greek from Kalamata, where we produce one of the best olive oils. Our olive oil has a deep green color, definitely not that yellowish one in your bottle. It also has a nice smell, kinda like grass with flowers. The one you have is either way too much processed or mixed with low quality oil.

Where I live in the Western Cape South Africa we have quite a few olive farms that produce olive oil (Greek immigrants) and good quality olive oil is green in colour with a clean aroma and taste. Once a year there is an olive feast a couple of towns away where you can taste test olive oils and all things olive oil.
My salt cellar is made from old olive trees that was made into various products for the kitchen. The salt cellar has a swivel lid that pivots at the back and closes with a sunken magnet.
I will be ordering me some of those wooden lids for my spices as it will complement the salt cellar and my wood cabinets (unpainted).

Handy & very attractive with the new lids. I know what you mean about all the organizational things you bought & installed in your kitchen. It DOES make a difference on how you feel when your kitchen is organized in a pretty way.
