I recall, in 92', I heckled an opening band to get off the stage at the Whiskey a Go-Go so that NOFX can get on with the show. I did not know at the time that the band my young punk-A$$ had harrased was Greenday. 😁Good times!
I had the chance to go on stage in Sydney when Pennywise were playing Bro Hymn. When they bring everybody on. But I am also blind. And was terrified Fletcher was going to fucking nail me LOL.
Punk is a lot of different things to different people. This pop punk has its place with the childish side of pop I know. Not sure many punk rockers would agree this falls under any traditional ideals of punk music, lifestyle or beliefs but that’s just my opinion. I find fat Mike and NoFX to be about as opposite of punk rock you can get. I heard someone call fat Mike a “godfather” of punk….which is interesting ha
