The glitch at 5:39 was the only one I found by accident. I became super sonic and was breezing through and i hit that enemy after a big drop, and it slowed the game down for a while and froze. I had to rewind to get out of it, but it was an interesting moment

The reason Eggrobo in Death Egg zone starts disappearing when there's two of them is because the VDP in the Genesis can only display 80 sprites at a time. If the sprite list overflows, new sprites won't be rendered. This is exacerbated by the explosion spam triggered when you beat the level and further reduces the number of sprites rendered on the screen.
This was used in The Simon Wai Proto Tails make a animation but it gets only one animation is waiting animation but one fact in Tails in the Photo: TAILS TAIL IS MISSING Oh my God.
I know it's late, but here's a Fun Glitch: If you're playing the game while being in debug mode, die and while sonic is in his duying animation *press B* and place any object anywhere. The color palette will go crazy and the only way to get rid of that is to: 1. Actually die. 2. Restart the level. or 3. Restart the game. *OR* you can just keep repeating the glitch as every time you get out Debug mode, you alive again.
No, it's not. If you *press B* again AFTER the glitch, the level will resume like nothing happened. Then you can either *die*, or *press Start and then A* to get to the Title Screen, and from there to the Sound Test/Level Select.
There's also a glitch in the debug mode where if you die at any point during normal gameplay, but then press the button to create and place an item during the death animation, you'll crash the game and glitch out the visuals.

There's a glitch (only works for android and iOS) (I think it does work on the megadrive) it messes with super sonics sprites. 1. Get 50 or more rings. 2. Turn into super sonic. 3. While your transforming into super sonic immediately press the debug button. 4. Then you get yellow sonic with super sonics powers. 5. And enjoy.
I remember getting stuck in Green & Chemical. Also imagine playing Sonic 1 & you're like 7 years old and accidentally put in the code to go into Debug mode! That tripped me out not knowing what it was or how to repeat it.
5:40 I think this is how crash happens. When Sonic falls at this speed, many sprites are loaded and lots of codes are running. When you kill rex, after getting on raising platform, game reaching maximum amount of codes and sprites and crashes.
I triggered this glitch as a child and was so gutted when I did. It was the first time I had ever unlocked Super Sonic too, which is probably why it was easier to trigger because I could just run off the platform and straight into Rex instead of jumping.

Kyle Campbell not a glitch, but start up the game, go to any act, do not do anything for around 3 minutes. Sonic will say "I'm outa here!" and jump off the stage. This will result in an instant game over and progress wasted. This is frustrating because when I forget to pause and need to do something, my time playing was just wasted.
The life underflow glitch is in sonic 2 xl: get enough onion rings to get the final stage of fat, die of drowning, then be at the right time to die again of heart attack.

I've always had a question about a Sonic the Hedgehog mystery/glitch that happened to me as a child. I think it was Sonic 2.... in an underwater scene, for no discernable reason (not drowning), Sonic died, and the screen displayed a question mark. The song you’re talking about is most likely Hidden Palace Zone, which was a cut level. There’s a couple prototypes of Sonic 2 that include this level.
A + Start, I hope you’re reading this. At the start of Metropolis Zone Act 2, I placed a bunch of capsules (don’t remember how many) and released the animals in all capsules, Also, a quick side note, the capsule’s Sprite is glitched. After releasing all animals in all capsules, the game skipped Metropolis Zone Act 3 and the game took me straight to Sky Chase Zone.
You've forgot the shield glitch: when you turn into Super Sonic next to a shield monitor the shield sprite becomes yellow, this happens because Sonic and the shield share the same colour palette, so when Sonic becomes yellow the same thing occurs to the shield

I don't remember I met Metal Sonic. But I remember I could not become Super Sonic or enter debug mode. I didn't ever meet such many glitches. I don't know if the game version problem. But I remember in Megaman 2, I met the glitch that I cannot meet Dr. Wily and the screen is fully black and these's only Megaman in final boss.
Don’t forget when using debug mode in chemical plant zone, you can put those yellow and blue blocks in the ramp. But when you stand on them it does a zip, taking you to the end of the stage. This works on both acts
13:55 I entered debug mode before the cutscene and when you're supposed to see Super Sonic fly down, I ended the debug mode and DIED. XD. Luckily, it just restarted the cutscene instead of making me fight the boss again.

I discovered a softlock glitch that is very easy to do, for mobile only. In Hill Top Zone Act 1, reach the goal post, face left then spindash at the right time. Eventually, your character will have a hard time touching the win plane, so you're softlocked.
And thus, just because sonic defeated eggman at that exact moment, fire started escaping the capsule. Thousands of mobians have been seen running from the intense flames, which were about to completely destroy mobius. But then.... Knuckles came in, and replaced the sonic the hedgehog 2 disc for the xbox with sonic generations, which brought everyone into the world of sonic generations, except for classic knuckles. Some say that knuckles has been spotted in a forest at the edge of texas, but this news is unconfirmed.

I discovered a softlock glitch that is very easy to do, for mobile only. In Hill Top Zone Act 1, reach the goal post, face left then spindash at the right time. Eventually, your character will have a hard time touching the win plane, so you're softlocked.
