On the Switch Version, I completed Act 2 on Hydrocity zone and my game randomly softlocked while dropping down the hole. Luckily, I could still head to the next stage but it was kind of scary.

Another bug: In debug mode, if you get past a Signpost by placing it during the final boss, the game will send you to Egg Reverie and you will fight the true boss with all the chaos emeralds even if you don't have them all. However, even if you win and the credits roll, you'll still get the bad ending and no chaos emeralds will be on your save file
I dunno if the glitch is new, but I've found out that if you activate super sonic just as you take damage you become blue super sonic as well, however you also loose all the collision and you can't interact with springs, enemies or even rings. The only way to get out of this is to restart the stage or exit as for some reason sonic ignores the ten minute timer as well. It's weird lol. Try it for yourselves.
if you use debug mode and use the super monitor as soon as you hit it go into debug and find the spin ball thing put sonic on it he will spin there for a bit then he will move and you get blue super sonic easy done

I once did a glitch where I had debug mode on, and when I beat Metallic Madness Act 1 by skipping the boss and activating a non-debug sign post, Act 2 had nothing but collision of the main level, crushers, and Eggman tiles. There weren't even lazers, or even screen locks, a boss, and the capsule! Also, debug wouldn't let me place things. I call it the "Phantom Madness" glitch. (I think I'm the first to discover this :D)
Hi Andy, I found a game crashing glitch, Start up the game, click the button to brings you to the Game Select, back out Hold down Y and B until the press any buttons appears, when while still holding those buttons press another button You should be at an old school stage select Go to Chemical Plant act 2 with debug mode enabled, Go to one of the bonus stages from the checkpoint, you have to win at it, Go to another bonus stage from another checkpoint, you have to win at it as well, When sonic (tails or knuckles) go to grab the 2nd mettle, the game should crash
TBH, I didn't intend to, I loaded up Chemical Plant act 2 with the old style debug menu, I finished 2 bonus stages and just before I collected the metal on the 2nd one my game crashed, I found this on complete accident
Hey guys! I found a new glitch in the Egg reverie fight! Yesterday when I was fighting the phantom king. I took damage, hit him and got pushed away at the same moment, but he did not dissapear, and neither did eggman appear so I thought I didn't hit him and continued the fight as nothing had happened. Soon after that I hit eggman, and then suddently he exploded! I hadn't destroyed the phantom king so he appeared, but it seemed like he had more health than normal. Whenever I hit him eggman did not appear. Finally the heavy king exploded but no portal had appeared, so now the game was softlocked. I haven't found any footage of the glitch (so far).
I had a similar glitch with eggman. He was just starting his attack animation and I hit him. He stayed on screen so I hit him twice. It then happened again later in the fight. I ended up killing him in 6 cycles. However, he came back the 7th time I hit phantom king, but he had the defeated sprite. I hit him again and then finished off phantom king and... eggman never reappeared so I had to restart the fight
Cameron O'Neil I Beat eggman before phantom king but it didn't soft lock I beat phantom king then get sent to the cutsceen where you beat eggman and the portal appears and didn't get soflocked and also I did it with debug mode but eggman was holding nothing and I didn't know where the phantom ruby was
I found another glitch, like the blue super sonic glitch when you get turned small in metallic madness zone if you hold up and then turn to super sonic you get frozen whilst spinning in the air while the super music plays

Minor glitch in Hydrocity Act 1: If you enter the level from the Metal Sonic boss, so you fall down the waterfall, hold left as hard as possible right from the start. If you do it the whole time you fall, you'll clip into the left wall. All you can do is jump and exit the wall, and going too far up kills you. There might be more to it, but I haven't experimented that much with it.
Star dust speed way act 2 has a glitch involving a rocket and a stretchy thing, jump on the rocket near the top of the stage and move left on the rocket so when it explodes you'll land on a stretchy thing on sit still for a bit and the stretchy thing will despair while you're on it so you get stuck

I was playing Mania on my friends switch and was on chemical plant zone, and glitched into one of the loop walls. Also, in sonic classic collection, I did the Blue super sonic glitch which was really dope
You are missing the Lamp Post Bonus Stage glitch, where you are allowed to take as many special stages as possible, even if you hit the previous lamp post then the next back and forth.

Acetualy with the puyo puyo glitch if you jump up so that sonic is invisible then start mashing butons and holding right you should get stuck there for like 20 seconds then suddenly teleport somewhere else for like 5 Seconds and then suddenly be going inside the pipe to the exit so you can use this other glitch to get out of a glitch
Epic Wade There's another glitch. I don't know if it was intentional but, in the Oil Ocean Act 2 Boss if you stand on a platform as the tentacles wrap around, it kills you instantly as soon as you hit the oil. There's also another glitch triggered the same way that gets you stuck inside the platform and you can't jump out. These glitches are the reason that boss is so hated.
There’s one simple glitch to do, and yet I discovered now. First, you’ll need an electric shield. Next, go to a ring with an enemy next to it. Touch the enemy before the ring goes to you. If this happens, the ring(s) will scatter somewhere else.
The knuckles glitch with the airplane in mirage saloon looks like it was meant to be there because knuckles' animation changes with the plane falling so that might have been intentional.
I actually did the Press Garden Act 2 Boss skip without knowing what happened the cutscene to go to Stardust Speedway Eggman was holding the emerald and the emerald just shifted away from Eggman and went off screen so I reset my PS4 and I just went on to StarDust Speedway like nothing happened but the whole time I was playing I just said WTF Just happened
I had a glitch in flying battery act 2 where on the part where you are running on the platforms outside and constantly rotating if you jump off you will land at an area which you are trapped in as the camera locks onto a portion of it. I think it’s the boss area but without any of the sprites loaded.
The lesson I learned from this episode was that knuckles breaks everything. And somehow doesn't crash the game whilst doing so.

Acetualy with the puyo puyo glitch if you jump up so that sonic is invisible then start mashing butons and holding right you should get stuck there for like 20 seconds then suddenly teleport somewhere else for like 5 Seconds and then suddenly be going inside the pipe to the exit so you can use this other glitch to get out of a glitch

There's another glitch. I don't know if it was intentional but, in the Oil Ocean Act 2 Boss if you stand on a platform as the tentacles wrap around, it kills you instantly as soon as you hit the oil. There's also another glitch triggered the same way that gets you stuck inside the platform and you can't jump out. These glitches are the reason that boss is so hated.

Yesterday I went to Dave and Busters and saw Sonic Mania for 1700 tickets but I couldn't get it
There’s one simple glitch to do, and yet I discovered now.
First, you’ll need an electric shield. Next, go to a ring with an enemy next to it. Touch the enemy before the ring goes to you. If this happens, the ring(s) will scatter somewhere else.

Also i found one where i stopped heavy shinobi so ill just get near him and then he continues BUT he doesnt throw any shurikens =P
The knuckles glitch with the airplane in mirage saloon looks like it was meant to be there because knuckles' animation changes with the plane falling so that might have been intentional.

I actually did the Press Garden Act 2 Boss skip without knowing what happened the cutscene to go to Stardust Speedway Eggman was holding the emerald and the emerald just shifted away from Eggman and went off screen so I reset my PS4 and I just went on to StarDust Speedway like nothing happened but the whole time I was playing I just said WTF Just happened

I had a glitch in flying battery act 2 where on the part where you are running on the platforms outside and constantly rotating if you jump off you will land at an area which you are trapped in as the camera locks onto a portion of it. I think it’s the boss area but without any of the sprites loaded.
Yeah, i happened me once too. 😅
It happens because the developers didn't intended the player to jump outside of the ship on that section...
