- Ammo Inc is made in the USA and is a great priced option for high quality ammo. I found it was clean burning and accurate.
Highly recommended for your next trip to the range

I’ve shot a fair amount of Ammo Inc. ammo. Shoots just fine and it’s priced right. The biggest thing I’ve noticed is how clean it shoots. I’ve shot piles of different brands of 9mm and I would easily put it in my top five favorites……maybe even my top three.
Agreed 👍
It is very interesting to read the huge variations in experience with the same ammo manufacturer. Thank you for all your comments. I guess it is average to good range ammo but nothing else. In my experience (and I'm almost done with the 1000 rounds I bought), I've been using them in both a CZ shadow 2 and a hk P30l for uspsa competition, and I've not seen a single failure
That's pretty good because I've heard mostly Negative from everyone about it, even an employee at Range USA told me to pass on buying some from them because it's awful, constant failures to feed, primers won't ignite and even several people had the jackets following off there rounds. I'm hesitant to buy some but the price is so good I think I'm gonna jump in and give it whirl. One of the instructors I spoke with said it's fine for target practice you'll run into a few issues just never ever buy the JHP for carry...who knows
@Condition Zero i would agree with that. Good for target and practice, but i would not use it for defense as JHP.
Thanks for the video.
I have used the following ammunition made by Ammo Inc:
.45acp FMJ 230 grain round-nose
.380acp FMJ 100 grain flat-nose
I have been very pleased with the performance and the price of both.
That's great to hear
Just put 400 rounds of Ammo Inc 9mm 115 Grain FMJ through my Glock 17, 19 and Sig P226. So far so good. Not one issue as of yet. Knock on wood. It's the cleanest ammo I have ever shot. Ive seen alot of negative reviews on the stuff. I live in California. Please don't hold that against me. LOL Cases of 1000 rounds are going for a little over 300.00 dollars. Really good price for me. All the ranges I go into is caring this stuff. Most of the Gun Shops are selling it. Thats not saying my next box I wont have a problem with, But as Of right now. No problems.
That's been my experience as well... really clean burning and no issues. Thank you for your comment
I just got a mark vii .44 mag desert eagle. I ran a box of Ammo Inc 240 grain .44 mag TMC 50 count through it with not one failure. Better than I expected
The gun store I work at in Texas has a lot of this ammo in calibers .380, 9mm, .40, and .45; the only caliber that has problems is the .380, which often jams in a gun. We've had a lot of stovepipes & cases getting stuck in the chamber with the .380, but no problems with the other calibers. When I'm working the range counter I never recommend the Ammo Inc. .380 to a customer trying out a rental firearm because we've had so many problems with it, not just in our guns but customers' guns too. It's cheap, but you get what you pay for sometimes!
10 mm?
Got boxes of 380 that were filled with light strikes. Brought multiple ammo brands AMMO INC was the only one that had failures.
They may have used harder primers than other brands
Still, not acceptable. When even my 100% reliable springfield 911 was giving light strikes, I know there is a problem. The not yet broken in security .380 would've been explainable
Actually about to test this ammo in a CZ P10s & a Taurus GX4 today, we appreciate the video sir!
I bet you'll like it. I was pretty impressed with the quality and will definitely be buying a couple more boxes
@@a2ztacticalacademy we did, no ammo malfunctions , pretty accurate as far as our skills go, just wish it was cheaper like early 2000s ammo cheap!
@@themkjs7391 yeah. I wish that was the case as well. I remember the $7/box of 50 fmj days
Their 9 mil JHP is an awesome round. Great budget self defense round for sure! I would recommend it. There’s way too many people posting online and they’re carrying FMJs in a carry gun. I get it, they’re way cheaper but if price is your concern, this brand makes a very affordable self defense round. You’re responsible for every round that leaves your pistol and you don’t want to carry FMJs for self defense. Go get you a box of this stuff.
Never... fmj is never for self defense.
Thanks for the info/show, I have run a fair amount of 45acp fmj threw my Stemple 76/45 SMG and it is hotter than standard ball, Runns fine.
I traded for a 9mm Kimber the other day. It came with a 50 rd box of this ammo. On the way home I loaded 3 rds in the mag to test the gun. 1st two went fine, 3rd went pffftt. It didn't have the power to clear the barrel with the bullet. Had to tap it out when I got home. Threw the rest of it in the trash.
wow
Ammo inc. real good ammo for the price, love the 124 hollow points amazing rounds
Shot a box in my 10mm today love it.🇺🇲
I’ve shot ammo inc out of my new 1911 recently. My 1911 has been shooting flawlessly with Winchester and S&B FMJ and Federal HST JHP. No malfunctions with any of those after 1
300 rounds. There was a malfunction every 3 rounds with this type of ammo.
Wow. I'm honestly shocked at all the comments with bad experiences with it. two weeks ago, I shot a USPSA match with this ammo and did not experience a single failure. Maybe the 9mm is the good stuff, and none of the other calibers are good
@@a2ztacticalacademy like I commented above, the .380 I got was trash. 1 box of 50 had at least 10 light strikes between both of my .380 pistols. One was my normally flawless springfield 911 and the other was in the very well reviewed ruger security. 380. None of the other brands I shot that day had any malfunctions. Their .223 seems to be ok.
I have used Ammo Inc in 380, 300, and 45acp. I had a lot of issues with the 380 leaving flakes of brass inside my Glock 42, also had some failure to fires. The 300 and 45acp, I have not had a single issue with.
Light strikes were the issue with this ammo in my ruger security 380. The only brand that had failures that day.
I’ve shot up a ton of their ammo, .300 BLK, a lot of 9mm, 45 acp, 7.62x39, only had one issue, the first two rounds out of a box of 300 BLK had oversized casings and never had another issue, very odd it was just those two rounds. Although, full disclosure, that was out of a brand new gun, maybe there was a burr on something. But I kinda doubt it.
Ammo inc jhp jam when feeding thru a czp10c, so bad it pushes the led into the brass casing. I'll never use or trust them again. Took them to my local firearm dealer and he confirmed hes had a lot of issues. We took my cz to range and ran Hornady and federal jhp thru my gun with no flaws. Ammo inc is unreliable
Some say good others say bad. Its depends on your weapon and wether or not you keep your weapon properly cleaned and lubed.
Tried to shoot their 380acp and 9. Half the rounds in each box were duds. I’ll stick to the aac ammo for now
I didn't have a good experience with their hollow tips. Perhaps just a bad batch, but I wouldn't use it again
Oh. I didn't know they made JHP, I'lllook for a box or two and give them a try. I've only tried their FMJ. Thx
Same, cz p10c, 115gr jhp ammo inc, feeds poorly and led jams into brass casing when feeding . Garbage. I'll never use it again.
i got ammo inc in 357 magnum, and one shell blew in half and got stuck in the cylinder.
Dang... that's really bad.. maybe i should do more research on their other calibers. Honestly, the box of 9mm i got has been flawless, but I've not tried their other caliber
@@a2ztacticalacademy for sure, it could be just there revolver rounds for all I know. But ammo should not do that.
The 380 ammo was terrible. It failed to eject almost every round out my Sig 365 - 380. The 9mm seems to work fine. I will say Ammo Inc.’s customer service is really good. They replaced the 4 boxes of 380 but the replacement ammo had the same issue. still was problematic. They then sent me 4 boxes of 9mm and told me to keep the 380. Very nice folks. As well they offered me my money back but I chose to get the 9mm.
I should buy other calibers and test them out. As you said. My experience with the 9mm is that is very good. But I've not tried any of the other calibers. Thx for your comment
I've used quite a bit of Ammo inc 9 mm and it's definitely underpowered but works really well with hammer fired but would get light primer strikes consistently with multiple striker fired pistols. Kept buying it bc of price and how clean it fires. But now with more ammo availability I've stopped using it.
There are definitely more choices opening up. And i got to say. I've not seen what most people here comment about....but I've only tried the 9mm 115 grain, so...maybe that's not the worst
@@a2ztacticalacademy I have only used the 9 mm and honestly that is the only caliber from them I would use. I witnessed an AR blow up from a 5.56 Ammo inc bullet. The top rail blew off as well as the mag. Luckily no one was hurt. Could be rare but I'll spend the extra money for a round with better QC.
@@Andoz777you sure it was a 5.56 bullet that blew it up? I've heard they mixed some .300blk into some 5.56 lol. Biggest complaint I heard is the primer not going off. I live in the same town where ammo inc makes the ammo. Knowing the people and work ethic in this city. I could see the QC being shit lol.
@@chodiusmaximus4042 Yeah we are sure it was from a box on 5.56 but if u say they've been know to drop a few 300 blk in the there as a QC booby trap. Well maybe that was it. Lol
I bought 2 boxes. 50 round packs of the hollow points. Cheapest ammo I've seen in years. Mine days it has the Sierra tips. I don't know if that's good or bad.
9mm 124gr Sierra Match Hollow Point
I figured these bullets were made in America and they come in a nice box. How bad could it be?
I shot 1 box and had 0 misfires. I know 50 rounds isn't a lot but for the price,it's worth it.
My main ammo I use is American Gunner XTP's. I feel that it's the best ammo when looking at price, performance, and reliability. This is ammo I shoot and stock pile.
I do plan on looking into the Sig ammo. The prices on it look good and I also carry a Sig now
I have gone through about 1500 rounds of the full metal jacket and had not a single failure
Well, they need to make 9mm ammo specifically for PCC carbines, like Speer has done, then we will talk!
I just got a box of 9mm and .380. Good prices.
A friend of mine damn near lost his fingers from this crap! He had a squib that he thought cleared the barrel and blew up the barrel.
Oh no. That's not good at all. Was that with 9mm fmj?
@@a2ztacticalacademy .40 S&W in a AR type upper.
@frankgarbouchian6067 yeah.... that's why I don't do pistol caliber ARs... besides the overhype and overpriced. It's almost like...lower power pistol rounds should be shot... out of pistols....🤔
I’ve only shot 124 9mm ball and it all went bang and functioned but the accuracy at dang near any distance was horrible
One question. Did you buy this ammo or did they send it to you?
I bought it... full price. I don't have enough subscribers, or I'm famous enough to get shtuff for free, lol 🤣
There hollow points is as good as anything else I have ever seen, and they are half the price.
AMMO INC AMMO ROUND exploded & bent the inside my UPPER REC on my AR PCC in 10MM over a year ago. I had to replace my PCC-UPPER. Thanks on sharing this story. AMMO INC is shit, & unsafe. I will never buy again...
Oh that's not good at all. Was the 10mm round ignited outside of full battery with the breech closed? (Could happen on pcc under very rapid fire)? Because if the round was fully in the chamber with the breech in battery, the damage would have been to the barrel and not the upper
Ammo inc 9mm 115gr JHP won't cycle or will jam in my PSA dagger and Glock 17 gen 5.
Bought 250 rounds n out the 150 I took to shoot 40 round shot the rest were duds 😂 thought it was my sig p320 first n tried it on my canik tp9sfx some shot some didn’t just like on my p320 I had another Case of Winchester 9mm that ran smooth on both
Sorry to hear that. It worked really well for me, but maybe they had a fluke with your batch
Ammo Inc. gave me my first squib as well as half a box of light primer strikes. Spend more for reliable ammo. Ammo Inc. is the worst I've experienced in 20 years of shooting.
wow
I just bought a box of ammo inc 9mm at the range today, it was horrible. It was so underpowered that my gun wouldnt even cycle half the time
First and only box of their .300 blk out I shot I had several rounds blow the primer into my lower and caused my trigger to get jammed. Don’t recommend this brand.
Oh wow. I have only tried the 9mm, not any of the rifle calibers. But that is absolutely unacceptable
@@a2ztacticalacademy An update to my experience with this ammunition. Shot the 3 mags I had left of it to sight in a rifle and found the accuracy to by pretty terrible as well. Flyers all over the place and had 3-5 more rounds blow primers out.
@Paladin interesting. I only tested their 9mm. Maybe their rifle ammo is a whole different story. I'll have to try that next time on my rifle.
Is this ammo review or are you just wasting our time?....lol
Maybe i thought i was reviewing something that to some people was a waste of time. I'll try to be more thorough next time. Thanks for commenting.
I must have got a bad batch of ammo for my 9mm , had a lot of ftf with a s&w m&p 9c and that's not good in my opinion !!
Could it possibly be hard primers or light strikes? Just wondering
@@a2ztacticalacademy , no ot was the ammo , everything else I shot was flawless( federal, Winchester, Speer, cci , Buffalo Barnes, and Remington work just fine )sad if someone is using this for ccw ammo !!
@@BrianJohnson-tz6xl oh absolutely, this is not ccw ammo.
From what I'm understanding from other posted videos the primers are hard !!
I live in north phx and also have a c2 , we should get a few people together and open our own lol . First gun range or shop I have ever seen that's a franchise.
Yeah right...lol. it's incredibly expensive.
I like Ammo Inc. I was hoping that you would provide some insight into the ammo. Instead, you spent five minutes getting ready to shoot...
Sorry. It was meant as a short video, but you're right. Ahould have spent more time on the ammo insight. I can give you some now that I've shot almost the whole brick. If you read through all the comments, there is a huge variation of experiences with ammo Inc. From misfires, to underpreassured to duds, etc.. all I've shot from them is 9 luger, and they've been flawless. I've done 4 uspsa competitions and have not experienced any of the issues many tell me about in the comments. Maybe their 9mm rounds are more reliable than all the other calibers. Maybe there's bad batches, and i got the good one, but in my opinion, from a single brick of 9x19, i would definitely buy more. They're clean, burning, and cycling perfectly in both my carry gun and my open uspsa race gun. All the rounds were made with new brass, and their OVERALL LENGTH was within specs for 9x19. I have no complaints.
Ammo makers are getting rich from a name, a name is all it is period.
I agree. Components are components. Primers, brass, and bullets for most are the same. Powder does make a difference, but minor
Next you should do a review of their stock price, ticker POWW on the Nasdaq.
I looked it up. not doing too hot.
$13.00 for 50 today its $35.00 for a box of 50 ( California)
That is crazy high for a box of 50
@@a2ztacticalacademy yup ridiculous huh
Update?????????
Gotta be honest. I'm down to the last two boxes of 50 on this ammo. Have shot 3 competitions, taught 5 classes, and not a single failure. I've also not cleaned my gun since I started shooting it, so I am actually taping a short video (tomorrow) where I want to show the inside of a pistol that has gone through 900 rounds of this ammo without any cleaning... still not bad at all. I've received many comments on this video about how crappy ammo inc is. But as far as the 9x19 goes, the stuff is fantastic and clean burning.
@@a2ztacticalacademy look forward to it
Man. I just bought 500 rounds of this stuff. I see its got a bunch of negative reviews. Uugh. We shall see
@@DesertTactical I have not had a single round fail on me...my experience with the fmj 115 gr 9x19 has been nothing short of fantastic
If you're going to do drills, I'd do them realistically. Instead of a draw and single shot and reholster, I'd draw, fire 3-5 shots, check surroundings, then reholster. You're teaching bad muscle memory. In an actual self defense situation you wouldn't fire one shot and immediately reholster
There's many drills that I do. Some are single-shot and reholster, some are present, prep the trigger, and not shoot. Some are multi shot or multi target and recon before reholstering, (with or without movement) etc... this video was not about a drill this video was about testing the ammo on a single or two shots..
One time at band camp
🤔 why so cheap tho
I'm not sure I know what you mean. ammo inc FMJ is not very expensive
jhp 20 round box is for $9.99
The 5.56 ammo from them the primers break inside of gun when shot and jam the shit out the barrel dont buy 5.56 from them junk
Thx for the comment
