So this is Ask me anything? Quick question ⁉️ How you stay so FINE my brother ❤️💯🙏❤️ You are glowing 🥰👍🙏🥂🌜🌞🌈🎉🌹 Thank you Jubilee for having my humble brotha Johnny back on your set.💯 Loved it 🔥🌹
It's great to listen to Johnny's testimony. He's honest with how he got into the gang in the first place, his experiences with his fellow gang members, and how he found salvation in Jesus. God bless you as always, Johnny!
I think it's the same guy, i saw Johnny Chang on soft white underbelly, i'm not religious, but he gave me the strongest argument for Christianity i ever heard in my life about innate sin and forgiveness. It literally made me cry.
Same here. I saw his Delefa testimony, then he popped up in my IG algorithm a few days later. I ended up joining his online congregation, Core Of The Heart. We have Bible study with him later today! 🙏
I hope this shows people that even people that we deem as "bad" or "violent" have the capacity to change, and DESERVE happiness and peace. I truly believe there is a beautiful soul in all of us, our society just doesn't let us foster it, or will condem people without a chance of redemption.
The thing about that two-second rule is that it doesn’t allow you to reflect on the consequences of your actions. You don’t think, you just go straight to violence.
From someone who did time, that's the point. It's a "heart" test in the worst form. Consequences are irrelevant at that moment--that's the test ("...even if you catch more time"). It's terrible, but it is what it was.
@@rodrozil6544 No such thing as toxic masculinity. Masculinity is about controlling your emotions and impulses and remaining stoic. Instead of calling it toxic masculinity, a more apt description would be lack of masculinity. And this usually results from lack of or bad father figures.
happy to see more content about Johnny. The vid of him on the Soft White Underbelly channel has been one of my favs. He has lots to say and it’s very inspiring
Johnny is such an incredible soul. His story is inspiring. His comeback is amazing. I could listen to him speak all day. Met him first on JK News and can't wait until he comes back on. Such a humble man.
was surprised but happy to see johnny on a jubilee thumbnail!! his interviews on soft white underbelly + under the influence have been really eye-opening on not just san gabriel valley's history but a v unique experience as a chinese immigrant of korean descent. idk as an ex-korean presbyterian w strong feelings abt the church i still really respect johnny's outlook on people and the word. kind of wish more of the light-hearted moments of him just loving fish could be included but all in all this was a great video!!
I am almost positive I met you (Johnny) in person due to the big dog behind 23 & 1. My memory has been bad due to ect as well as alcohol & drugs but I am almost positive I met your wisdom with disrespect because of the hatred in my heart. But what stuck with me was “I cant blame you because I was you.” or along those lines at least. Not only am I sorry for making you walk away. But I am grateful for you being there. I was able to make a decision when I was still able because of words from you and others. I am changing myself Johnny. And I just wanted to say thank you big dog. Seriously.
As a Chrisitan I have seen Johnny on a few Christian channels I watch and also saw him on soft white underbelly. Was a bit suprised to see him on Jubilee but happily so. Hope he can continue to use his story to help others!
Good for Johnny turning his life around. I know what it’s like to grow up with a family like that and it’s hard to not seek out something else, I’m glad he found the light in the dark ❤
can confirm , everything hes talking about is true. my husband was a member of the blood stone villains ( south central Los Angeles) ... some of the stories hes told me from when he was actively gang banging are surreal. sound like something out of a movie.. smh. its been 25 years since, hes still has love for his people and his neighborhood , but he had to grow up out of that lifestyle.. most of his friends who were in that life , there comes that turning point where it no longer suits you.
Johnny has clearly had a really tough life… I’m glad he’s out and has mended his relationship with his dad. I’m glad he still gets to talk to his brothers too💗
My man Johnny Chang!!! I'm so glad ya'll brought him on, he's got a powerful story that's worth listening to! Much love to you Johnny, God bless you bro
I really like Johnny, seems like he's an amazing person. Deffo a person that you could kick it with and listen to stories about him for hours. I'm glad to see he turned his life around and found some purpose. Statistically he wasn't supposed to make it past 18, and he made it. Such an amazing person and a inspiring story. He's extremely smart. I hope to see more videos with Johnny.
i swear i saw you on soft white underbelly or another channel. your story is one to be told. you are helping others. i’m sorry for what you have endured from your blood family as well as pseudo-family. im proud of what you have learned and gained from your hard lessons. i hope you stay on the upswing, i’m happy you found something that helps you and helps others. keep on keeping on!
@Johnny-Chang. As a christian, please warn people as much as you can about the dangerous fallout of racial bulliying. The current bullying of whites and asians is a potential powderkeg of a situation... as some one who has been caught between the twin pincers of the LAPD and the hispanic gangs who both push around poor unaffliated white civilians, i have become fed up enough to aquire the same skill sets as both these types of predators. I am a christian and want peace with my former oppressors... but not everyone is like me. We all need to treat each other like full human beings before it is too late.
Johnny should write a book. I would love to learn more of his story. I would also highly recommend the book "My Bloody Life: The Making of a Latin King" to anyone who is watching this.
I’m crying so much. Seriously so astoundingly happy this man has found a more peaceful route and is able to be a positive light and leader to others. When you can change your pain into a loving moment I think is truly when humans gain the most power.
I don't condone what he has done and I'm very sure he feels the same, but I respect the fact he has acknowledged his wrong doings and turned his life around. I hope he doesn't go back
I absolutely LOVE Johnny’s understanding of the spiritual realm. You can tell that he has a true relationship with Christ. Bravo to you! Keep the faith, Brother!
This was an educational peak into the Gang life, you learn to empathize with them more than “dislike” them! Thank you for your vulnerability @JohnnyChang
I love this guy, he was talking so calmly and openly, he is so self aware of what got him there and he did let go of the past, bounding with your father again was such a brave and strong move alot of people can't do in his shoes, probably one of the the most courageous and peaceful guys out there, everyone is so happy and supportive for the amazing and strong steps he took to become better, mental health is no joke and finding the path for forgiveness and true happiness is one that is never easy.
He’s so handsome. I’m glad he lived past 18 and he’s better than ever in the path of Christ ❤I’m looking his interview up on Soft White Belly I heard Mark interviewed him.
I had 2 homies that got into gangs and we all grew up together but both of them joined rival gangs cus of their families. Long story short 1 of them killed each other and other one doing life in prison
Hey, a question I can answer from personal experience. It depends where you're hit, but usually it just burns a lot but adrenaline takes over for most of it. But unless you're hit somewhere thats an automatic off button like the head or spine or something really important, it's a matter of blood loss and you can easily fight through it.
People should pay VERY CLOSE attention to what mr. Chang said about racial bullying. As a poor white guy who lived in los angeles under the shadow of fear cast by hispanic gangs and a police force that wont allow you to even carry a stick for self protectection, i eventually got fed up and learned the "hand to hand" and concealed weapon skills of a hardcore cholo... luckily for all parties involved i am a non-racist christian who knows that vengeance only leads to more evil.... but people should realize that the same type of abuse that caused mexicans to create gangs in the 50's and salvadoreans to create gangs in the 80's could lead to all sorts similar groups being formed by the different communities that suffer racial assault and insult this very day...
I really want to ask, what could you mom have done to stop you or bring you back to her at 13,14 or 19,20 years old? Me as a mom always begged him to stop. What should I have done?
damn hearing him say he didnt need a gun is crazy. shows how the streets shifted or not even shifted but got worse, philadelphia 2023 or even most states now a gun is your shoes, socks, underwear, tank top
