  • This is how thin and sharp a skiving knife is supposed to be. If it is sharp enough to split paper, leather shouldn't be an issue :-).

      I would say some sort of spring steel, but I really don't know.

      No, the knife needed only a "touch up". If I would have to reshape the blade, then I would use water.
