Came here after watching a video with 6 million views in which the guy recommended using standard WD40, however the regular one eats away at rubber (look up WD40 sprayed on rubber balloons to see what I mean) so thought to myself "Why not use a proper silicone lubricant?" And that's when I found your video. I'm going to give this a try, thanks for uploading.
well this the dedicated silicone lubricant dear.

@@squirrelcovers6340 What are they made of then?
Like a dream 😊
Great instructional video mate, keep up the good work brother !
Worked like a charm for me. Thanks!
Great idea!! I 'll Try This On My Windshield Wipers.
I will try it, many thanks!
That is the business man, it didn't even cost me a 5er, I had silicone spray & obviously alcohol ( with covid), worked deadly.
Thank you
Gonna try this!! Thanks
I tried this... its amaZing!!! 🙌🏻👍🏻 thanks for the tip!! ♥️🎼
I had to chuckle here as I do exactly the same thing. (WD 40 silicone as well) Other cleaning methods like alcohol work fine, but I've found that silicone spray just makes the wipers work smoother.
ah kool!
03:40 Now the belt of your vehicle will slip.
damn clean and smooth
Silicon makes things slippery you don’t apply it to drive belts. They need as much grip on the pulleys as they can get.
Don't use it on belts, they rely on friction. (what's that sound at 2:18? O_o)
I bought some new Bosch blades and within a week or two they were squeaking. I've got some of this I'll give it a go thanks. 👍
did it work
@@cloudchaser9951 mine worked. I bought a pair of bosch aerotwin wiper. 1st install, no issue present. after using it for 2 months, it produces a squeaky noise with wiper skipping problem. i guess bosch wipers are not suitable for every windshield. after applying silicone lubricant on the wiper, it solved my issue.
good job it works will , i got it,
I have a Scion Xa it rattles near dash/wipers
I think I might need to spray WD40
Anyone else have this issue in there Scion XA?
If so what's the fix for this rattle everytime I drive certain speeds especially after coming off the freeway onto bumpy roads.
It's an annoying rattle sounds near dash
I have just read you should NOT use WD40 for wipers
Why is this different than normal silicone spray?
Great
Never seem that kind of WD40 but of to Walmart and give a look see.
Thanks
yes walmart has it.
Halfords stock it.
Just got it yesterday from Walmart
good day, I just want to ask if its safe to use the wd-40 silicone spray on the sidewall of the car tires?
No it’s not recommended. Get tire shine that is specifically made for tires.
Don't use generic lubricants on your car's belts
@@crediblehulk420 idk i don't even know what I'm talking about
@@crediblehulk420 Don't put anything on the timing belt, they are supposed to run dry.
Yes to silicone lubricant
some silicons will soften rubber to the point of turning it to mush , a similar ceramic one would be better
Consider that wiper blades rubber almost always goes dry and fractures at some point.. it is extremely rare they melt as those are designed for. high temperatures.
Lubricant in belts? Seriously!!
Won't it cause a oil film vision when street light shine on it and affect the driver vision??
Nope
No silicone is dry. Kind of like spray Teflon. Leaves a film with very low coefficient of static friction and can actually replenish the softness of the rubber.
I tried using silicone WD40 on my serpentine belt and it snapped while driving a few weeks later. Coincidence? I think not. And yes it was silicone WD40
because the belt is designed to run dry.
Just safe me S30USD
Don't put any lubricants on the Belt.
Sure would like to see the thousands of thumbs down but RUclips doesn’t like critical thought and reasoning anymore.
The noise comes from the angle of blade not right . The wd40 won't work for long .
Do adjust the arm, sometimes this needs to be done if its not the blades
Rubbing alcohol says not to use on rubber 🤣 Your fingers oils are bad for the windshield wipers as well...
Still noisy 😃
Why does he sound like Korg from Thor... or like a young Anthony Hopkins
Promotional video, not practical.
How much did you get paid for this?
IMHO standard WD40 becomes sticky and muck will soon accumulate.
the classic stuff will do that. plus it will eat the rubber. but the silicone spray is hydrophobic and sometimes even antistatic.
You wipe it dry...it’s only used to clean, that’s it.
You will regret spraying silicone on your paint..
3yrs plus nothing happened to the paint
@@ZRKREVIEWS it won't do anything until you have to respray the area.
Son't ever spray wd40 or the silicon version on door hinges. Wd40 is a thin lubricant so it removes the thick lubricanta such grease. After a few days you'll see that the door squeak worse than ever. You should apply liqıid grease or teflon based grease on the hinges.
I sprayed it on my bedroom door hinge 2 years ago and have yet to hear a squeak
Whatever you do, you shouldn't be cleaning your wiper blades with WD40, ever. WD40 is a water-displacer which, if you use it on your wiper blades, will leave streaks and marks and won't clear away the rain, but will make it worse.
Even the silicone wd40?
@@dylanmaxard5822 better off with rubbing alcohol mate
@@keystonegaming3840 it dries out rubber… it’s a surfactant and a solvent
Yep, made my wipers a lot worse. Never again will I use silicone wd40!
