    I've watched countless Tina S reaction videos and the average response has been dumbfounded speechlessness. Most of the time I've had to wait a full thirty seconds after the lightning speed guitar playing ceased before the reactor came to their senses enough to say something "brilliant" like, "Jeez, that was good wasn't it?" Actually, their silence spoke more eloquently about what they experienced than words ever could.
    This is what I think happens to us while watching Tina S covers. Our brains begin to roast when 450 degrees of Tina S quadruple-speed guitar virtuosity is applied to them. We have to hit the stop button every thirty seconds to allow a cooling process to take place lest our brains sizzle out of control and melt.
    Tina S is performing guitar shredding impossibilities right before our very eyes. Hence, our confusion. Tina S, in our minds, is just too dang young to be playing that good! The average person can't swallow the theory that practice alone got her to that level of amazingness. A gift from God? Probably. At least that's my view.
    There have been two good Tina S reaction responses that caught my eye.
    1. I think the "S" in Tina S stands for SPED UP!
    2. "Watching Tina S play should be the easy part and her playing should be the hard part. But my experience was that watching her was the hard part because her playing appeared to be the easy part."
    Weird. But true.
    Afterthoughts.
    Tina has been negatively accused of being emotionless while playing. Granted, she doesn't gush with emotion like your average rock guitarist but here are three reasons why she acts that way.
    REASON 1. Tina S is NOT a rock guitarist. She's a classically trained guitarist. Notice how she has her guitar propped up on her left leg. Classical guitar style all the way. Classical guitarists are prim and proper and subdued on stage. Tina is probably mimicking the great classical guitarist Segovia's expression while playing not Angus Young's. By the way, Tina IS expressing emotion, it's literally pouring out of her instrument.
    REASON 2. Tina is not performing on a rock stage with 30,000 lunatic fans expecting guitar virtuosity and gobs of emotion. She is performing in a simple studio with one cameraman as her audience. She doesn't need to perform rock star stunts like playing the guitar with her teeth, or setting it on fire, or biting off the heads of bats. She's just playing the damn thing! Better than anyone that I've ever seen.
    REASON 3. The third reason why Tina isn't showing emotion is because what she's doing is easy. Yes, easy. How much emotion do you show while tying your shoe laces? Zero. Right? Why? Because tying your shoes is easy. You don't grimace and squint and bite your lower lip while tying your shoes because you don't need to and it would be weird if you did. Tina doesn't grimace and squint and bite her lower lip while shredding the guitar because she doesn't need to.
    The end.

      It's weird though because **if** you could focus like Tina S. you probably could be this good (barring physical inability, which is possible). Everyone thinks focus is just a matter of gritting your teeth, but it is something else entirely. This is part of the reason why it is important to pursue the things you love, because finding this kind of focus is rare and to be treasured, whether it is collecting stamps or playing guitar.

  • @arnibernabe8047
    @arnibernabe8047 3 года назад +1

    Fantastic! She is one of the very few who was born with one of the rarest gift -- "Perfect Pitch"; bestowed on great composers specifically Bach, Mozart and Beethoven (there are more but these 3 are the most prominent and well known). This piece is hard enough on the piano -- what more on the guitar. The execution of the melodic lines is flawless, not one note out of place. You may not agree with me but not even the best modern (electric) guitarist (in the likes of Steve Vai, Slash, etc) can play this piece the way she did (at 17 years old). I don't think she read and arranged the original piano score, SHE PLAYED IT BY EAR! And the only way one can do that is if one has this rare gift -- Perfect Pitch.
    If you watch her playing style and technique, she was trained in the conventional Classical way, the way of the MASTERS. Notice her posture, sitting down, left foot probably on a stool, the guitar positioned in the conventional (classical) way. Notice her left-hand technique, her thumb does not stick out except on upper bends, leaving her fingers well in control of their movement. That is classical guitar technique, and this I think is the only way that you can play this piece by Beethoven. There is no other way.
    Great review and reaction.

    17 in this video and one of her last before taking a break for university. Everyone is hoping she will return once studies are over. IF you want to see a good expmple of her years of training that goes into being this good then watch the following from 2014 as it takes you from age 6 to 15

    She was 16 when she did this. This is the result of 8 hours practice a day, EVERY day, for 10 years.

      NO, she was 17, born in April 1999 ! 8 hours practice a day ?????? She does not go to school this child ???? Her parents allowed just 1 hour a day, after doing her homework !

      Avoir un bon professeur ca aide mais ca ne suffit malheureusement pas pour faire un bon guitariste. Ce sont les aptitudes personnelles qui font la différence entre un bon guitariste et un virtuose comme l'est Tina.

    • @0ParisFrance
      @0ParisFrance 3 года назад

      @@rym3388 c'est sûr qu'il y a autre chose chez elle. Car elle ne joue pas des heures comme les gens croient, à cause de l'école et les devoirs à faire, les leçons à apprendre, et les jeux vidéos avec son frère et sa sœur. Même son frère Sacha qui a commencé avant elle, dans le même Conservatoire d'Évry, et ensuite avec le même professeur Renaud, n'a pas ce niveau. C'est fou comment elle a évolué dès la première année de guitare électrique à 13 ans, on le voit sur ses premières vidéos déjà encensées par Van Halen qui a voulu la rencontrer !

    Wow, Wow, Wow !! From France: This is a bad, very bad news :
    "Tina had an accident in 2017 and could no longer perform like a virtuoso.
    In September 2020, she entered the Évry business school in the south of Paris, where her family lives. She joined the Télécom SudParis section as an engineering student. Her photo is in the school's Facebook and Instagram group photo, the last person on the right. Her sister Léa is also on the picture, for those who know her!
    Alas Tina died in December 2020. "
    R.I.P. 😢😢😢
