That being said I have a serious question, maybe you can ask Renaud Louis-Servais or even Tina herself on this question... She seemed to stop playing and went to business school for several years, do you think this kind of speedy accurate performance can be maintained into ones 20's and 30's and beyond, or is this the kind of performance that only works for someone with the relfexes and youth of a teenager?

I bet her friends would tell us we've never actually seen her smile in these videos. She just gives small sort of half-smiles in a few of them. But forgetting all about whether or not she smiles, the really impressive (and slightly infuriating) thing is that she manages to look bored in parts of this.

To do tapping, she put a hair elastic at the top of the neck to avoid resonances. Everything is calculated and very precise at Tina. She also put a string block nut at the top to prevent her strings from flying away !! She changed her micro setting 7 times during the song. She made 23 slides (wiiiiooooouuu). And she smiled 7 times too !
Good stuff! Back in college when I used to do Satriani-style tapping stuff, I'd tie a bandana at the top of the neck and then joke that my guitar was so good it wanted to play the song blindfolded :-)
