Had the cop lost the fight and his feefees were hurt even more i would sooner bet this would have ended really badly for the civilian dude. He is not a stupid civilian fighting another stupid civilian. He is a cop, the civilian has the privilege to be allowed a certain amount of stupidity to even be rude to a point. Might made right even when it was almost completely wrong on the cop's part and led to an even worse outcome for all involved instead of getting on with the investigation for the initial crime perpetrated by someone completely different. Oh and now a different cop will still have to investigate that initial crime. Great police work.
Sovereign citizens with badges don't care what the people think as long as they get a check on the 1st and 15th.
It made me trust them more. Wouldn’t you rather a cop take off his badge and let you fight him rather than instigating you and then arresting you?
I'm so glad all of this exposure is finally coming out. When I was in my twenties I was with my girlfriend who was driving. She was speeding a little because (as usual) all the other cars on the highway were so just followed what everyone else was doing. But for some reason this cop decided to pull her over.
She even asked; "That truck right in front of me was going the same speed! Why did you just pull me over??" He said something like "Because I pulled YOU over!" He then asked me (just a passenger) to get out of the car. I am Mexican, Indian, German Irish, and a few other things but somewhat dark complected with long black hair (now gray lol). And this was broad daylight around 3-4 PM.
I said "why?" He slouched down and got in my face and said "You get out of the car or I'll take care of you right here and now!" I'll never forget that and remember his EXACT words to this day. And that was almost 40 years ago. Thank you for all you do!
I bet Rosario still has the respect of the neighborhood all this time later.
It's impossible to erode public confidence when that confidence was eroded long ago.
True that. People have absolutely no trust in the police anymore
This actually gave me more confidence in police and i had very little before

I got to say Officer Rosario gets a little bit of my respect. He definitely was no punk. He asked if dude wanted the smoke. And dude said he wanted all the smoke. They lit it up. And he kept his word and didn't arrest him. I call that a clean altercation.
The kid told him there was no apology necessary, then told the other cops when they came back without officer Rosario - no apology necessary, you should give that dude a promotion.
The cop was wrong no doubt, but all the shit these dudes do and get away with - and they hang the guy for THIS?
@@notsure7874 he's way too angry to be an officer and hold that power over anyone. He's a liability to any department. Doesn't matter if the kid wanted it, their job is to de escalate and resort to anything but this. He got set off for almost no damn reason and was way to quick to violence/anger. Also the fact he needed drug counseling tells me anger issues aren't the only problem with him. Also, saying he's gonna turn off his camera to keep going -very very bad. This is not someone you want on the force. It doesn't matter what the kid was verbally saying, he didn't physically do anything. Just like someone could yell at you, you can't just start throwing punches. Also, the kid only started saying bring it on AFTER the cop is already getting in his face egging him on. This rests almost completely on the officer and if he just stayed calm and did his job none of this would have happened. Customer service people deal with a way higher level of attitude everyday and can't start a fist fight without major consequences. The expectation to avoid violence should be WAY higher for police officers. He 10000% should lose his career for this.

officer should not have been fired. this is far better lesson for the kid, than what other cops would do. this cops action told the kid "we are both on equal terms", and he told the kid he would teach him the lesson through a fight since thats what the kid kept trying to do. a pos bad cop would have right there pressed fkn charges and put his hands on the kid to force an arrest and brought 50 cops on 1 guy and pressed felony charges. a real cop doenst destroy a citizens life through the so called "justice" system. the best way to earn respect and change a loud mouth is to show him that hes equal to the police, and if he beats up the police, he wont get charges. and the cop beat his as5 and look, the kid said the cop should get a promotion, because getting beat up taught him way more than having bs charges pressed on him, which is what the cops want anyway, to press charges on anyone

Notice how the family called the police for help, and as a result their problems became much worse. That’s why you DO NOT call police for family issues.
I would go so far as to never call the police for anything.
instructions unclear, my brother just stabbed our other brother 26 times, wore himself out, went to take a nap, then woke up and pushed our sister off the balcony of our 9th floor apartment. what should i do when they find these bodies?
Nah there are cases to call them, don't say that you'll deter people in bad situations making them think they'll just always make it worse which isn't true. It's more likely you'll get something done than nothing.
Though I do agree.. it really depends on the officers that respond. I’ve had to call the police a few times for “family issues” and they’ve always been helpful and considerate. But I also live in a rural area in AL. My best friend who lives in a bigger city had to call the law a couple of times because of her daughter and she was also given help and even encouragement from the officers that responded. Having said that, I’ve had one experience with law enforcement that was awful. So I get it… but not all cops act like power hungry children like this one. The bad ones NEED to be weeded out ASAP! Until the bad ones are exposed and removed from any positions of authority, these types of encounters will only continue and get worse.
