Tyler, you have such a unique RUclips channel! You are willing to take us along as you break down a new lake and share the decisions you make in real time, really fishing. I learn a lot of things from you helping me continue to grow as a hard-core bass angler who finds most fishing channels underwhelming.
Exactly. I have a hummingbird piranha 4di and the sonar function puts little fish symbols up when I paddle over them in the kayak put its pretty much useless. I just use it for the down imaging function which shows me the structure that's under me but that's really it. Ffs is basically a video game for the most part.
first time watching lake break. this video was done exceptionally well. at 37 mins I was expecting to be doing a lot of skipping but every minute of this video has importance. love being able to just sit here and effectively pick your brain as you fish. your explanations are very well delivered. Awesome stuff, can't wait to watch the rest of the series!!!
You have no idea how excited I am that you have video of pike on the surface like that! I'm up in Michigan and see it all the time and everyone looks at me like I'm crazy when i talk about it 😂 As always, amazing video!
Awesome video. Deep flipping is something a lot of us struggle with. You should do more videos on it with some illustrations, like at 5:41. Keep these up Tyler.
I know this lake, I grew up right down the road and still live super close, this lake helped to get me into bass fishing and have so many good memories here.
Loved seeing you fish central NY lakes - finger lakes absolute treasures! Put Canadice and Hemlock Lakes on your radar, would love to see you break down those lakes. Lake regulations might make them a great no tech outing. Thanks for all you do for us novice anglers. Paul from Buffalo
That's so cool , recently found him and he's a great RUclipsr. Was trying to learn how to fish my area and he just happens to fish a lot of areas around the delta
From Lee, ... at some time would you show and discuss all the different kinds of weed, what they are called, what levels they grow from etc. I believed you explained one time, ... that finding a few different kinds of weed together seem to produce the best results??? TYVM for your educational videos and Lake Breaks. Our home lake is Lake Wallenpaupack, probably close to your latitude in Ohio, so your local advice is extremely applicable.
Hey Bass Fishing HQ, I would say I’m a decently experienced angler but I do struggle with picking out combos. I was just wondering if I could have any recommendations that are relatively inexpensive and are good for bank fishing. If you see this comment thanks and I love your videos.
Excellent teaching video!!! I learned a lot about grass fishing and hope I can now go out and put into practice what I learned. You said you use braid to fluoro leader, What pound braid & leader do you use & how long of a leader? Any info would be greatly appreciated!! 😀🤓 Stay Safe & God Bless!!! 🤠👍
Yo Tyler! Gambler Stinger vs Xzone craw? Also what are the pros / cons to using straight fluro vs braid to fluro leader with flipping? Allways appreciate you brotha!
I've seen muskie swimming around with just their face/head sticking out of the water. One swam right up to my boat... I thought it was injured and reached out to grab it, but it just turned upright and swam away casually I've learned they are gulping air to fill their air bladder to increase buoyancy.. and sometimes they will burp air to lose buoyancy
Tyler, can you explain the bite, the feel of your fish before you set the hook? Yes your feeling weight, but are you waiting for a head shake, the fish swimming with it, slight tug, their mouth s lamming down on the line?
Depending on the rig is going to depend how it feels. Texas rigs always feel like a peck peck and almost like a little suction. That suction feel is hook set time. Now if it’s drop shots that peck is a LOT more subtle. But it will feel almost gummy on the end of the line then real set the hook. This guy is great! Love his voice and his little challenges but there’s another Tyler who has a channel called TRF. He’s also extremely helpful especially if yours a beginner. Hope I was helpful some? Happy fishing!
Hey Tyler. I just wondering what size line are you running with that leader? And how long? I have the whole lineup of the same Cobb series rods and the guides are micro so I have trouble with leaders on my bait casting set ups. Great video bud keep them coming my fellow fishing friend 🤙🏽🎣 …and isn’t that the 7’1 heavy buzz burner rod?

@@BassFishingHQ Do I have to drive around town blasting Taylor Swift to get some shipping to Canada? 🇨🇦
Because I’ll do it if I have to. 🤣
Yep..nice to see people not staring at a screen all day and giving us the butt shot.

This series continues to get better and better! I appreciate all the hard work we see,and also the work we don't. Keep it up man!
Now that is an example of using your knowledge of bass behavior and not relying on ffs to catch your fish. Excellent video!!!!!
I don't get how ffs has changed the game from what was there before. Wasn't sonar already available?
@@TheMrplayitsafe yes but you couldn’t see the fish in real time reacting to your lure. All you could do before is find structure.

Ffs means what other than female feminization surgery? 😢
You being able to see that structure down there is a huge advantage. Just admit it 😂
Love the lake break series. Looked like one of those fishing days you don't forget!

The Lake breaks are really good

I’m also in Michigan and I love when they do that it’s always really cool to see them even if they aren’t biting lol
This is becoming my favorite channel. Fishing and science is such a great duo.
Man what a day of fishing. Those days don’t happen often. Atleast not for me lol
Awesome video. Deep flipping is something a lot of us struggle with. You should do more videos on it with some illustrations, like at 5:41. Keep these up Tyler.
Man, I wish you were in Florida! Would love to see your breakdown of the Kississmee Chain!
Brother is out here like I’m going to catch 5 fish that = 17 lbs. I go fish and my challenge is to not get skunked😂
Well done. You sure make it look easy. What a day.

My favorite kayak RUclipsr Greg Blanchard goes to these lakes once or twice a year and always kills it.
That's so cool , recently found him and he's a great RUclipsr. Was trying to learn how to fish my area and he just happens to fish a lot of areas around the delta
That he was a smaller RUclipsr but I guess not
I've been watching him for a few years. He has some great kayak content.
Banger of a video, what a great day on the water!
That pike “sound” is making my kids and me crack up. Great video.

Congrats on that Ohio megabass pro open win! I was scrolling through and thought I recognized that face.
Watching you fish this grass makes me want to head up I75 and hit up Ceder Creek.
Loved this!
The only way this type of flipping comes back is LS must be band from tournament.. another great video

Tiger Muskies do that at times they say there cleaning there gills. Kinda cool.
Otisco is magical. Honestly just as good as Cayuga but has the bonus of a ton of tiger musky.
Is that the thing that was looking at me?
Too bad ny is too liberal. I'm moving to TN

Had a nice one hit a topwater yesterday, he either wasn’t hooked well or he wasn’t hooked and spit it out. I was pissed 😂.
I've been using a watermelon green lizard with red specks and catching tons

What water depth were the 1st 5 caught in?
Love the channel, but someone please tell him to take the plastic wrapping off his rod😂
What was the company you mentioned that had a module to improve your FFS picture. Can't seem to find the video?

That other type of grass. i call them " Christmas Trees".. I don't know what it is.. But i never get a bite in that type of grass.

Yup that’s the rod. I do an FG knot. About 12-14ft leader. The knot sits just outside the reel
@@BassFishingHQ thanks bud. Appreciate it.
