- The owner of a popular bagel shop in Tacoma was killed in New Orleans, Louisiana, earlier this month.
Jacob Carter, 32, was killed Jan. 5 while on vacation with his husband, Daniel Blagovich, according to a Jan. 7 social media post from Howdy Bagel.
Carter was found shot near Bourbon Street and Kerlerec Street in the Marigny neighborhood at about 1:30 a.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Jacob was a kind soul and a good person. I will miss him.

Really sad. The area where this happened looks rough. Wonder what they were doing there?
They were on vacation in NOLA. It happened near Bourbon Street.

@@jodylancaster8706 roger. I read you wrong. I would assume if you’re vacationing on bourbon street you’re probably planning on staying near the French quarter. But it doesn’t take very many blocks for neighborhoods to change. Regardless, just senseless. He’s brought so much to Tacoma.

I'm sure it was just nigligence. Nobody would do this on purpose, not in New Orleans.
So sad/ who ever schemes against people Allah the glorified turns his scheme back on him.
This guy should still be alive, very sad. Hopefully the suspect will be caught and punished but many of these ppl are not prosecuted by these liberal DA’s and are allowed to run wild, its very frightening
