It's not in the trash lol that container is for the oil + if you played attention you would hear that the company's actually sell that oil to be re used
It is stealing. The restaurant and rendering company own rights to that oil and it's not trash it's a valuable commodity. If this guy was stealing copper you wouldn't feel the same way but it's the same situation.

I believe it's like trash in a dumpster. Once you throw it out don't expect it to be saved for someone special. It's actually not even considered of value to the restaurants . In fact they have to pay someone to haul it away.

Did you not watch? The grease distributors reuse and repurpose the oil. It's not in the trash to get thrown away. It's used grease that is cleaned and reused
I work for chick fil a and it matters because after 14 days when we do a boil out the used oil is put in the outside bin to be took by a company and refine it and resell it. The jugs of peanut oil is like 40 dollars a jug
That's because america is a corporate country. Meaning if a restaurant gives food to the homeless, they might get food poisoning or something and will sue the restaurant for a lot of money. That's why they dont do that. It's all about money
