      Great seeing some live free or die representing! You've got a sweet setup. If your up here in the whites camping, id love to possibly meetup. None of my buddies have campers, but rather van life it which is cool. We're planning a trip to Barnes field (dolly copp area mid April) one of the 2 places the forest service keeps plowed (the other being Hancock campground outside of Lincoln) if you'd like to join. Be well, Brian

    Good to know that 100Ah of AGM with 200ish watts of solar will work for boondocking! (with prudent use of power of course)

    • @DIYOutdoorLife
      @DIYOutdoorLife  4 месяца назад +3

      I've used that set up for years. It's a nice inexpensive way to do some entry-level Boondocking!

    • @MattJones1829
      @MattJones1829 4 месяца назад +1

      And here I am wondering if 200 watts of solar and 2 6-volt golf cart batteries or 2 AGM 100ah batteries will suffice for a propane absorption fridge in a travel trailer where ONLY the fridge will be run for ten days of boondocking. I think it might be doable.

      @DIYOutdoorLife  4 месяца назад +1

      @@MattJones1829 those fridges are all over the place, it really depends on the model that you're using. I think you're going to be golden if you're getting any sort of sun shining on your panels

    Alright NH representing! I need to find some local buddies to camp with up here....... Brian, you should do a video of your setup at these meets. Be cool just to see! I have a quick question if you don't mind. I was recently camping in the whites for a few days and wanted to charge up my jackery, but as you know, during low temps, we had single digits, the lith ion won't charge. Id like to run solar to the jackery, but keep it inside the camper. Any recommendation for a wall pass thru. I'm looking for something that would second as a diesel heater pass thru as well. Thanks and lemme know when you head up to the whites again. Be well, Brian

      Thanks for checking out the video, Rob is a blast!
      If you have time, check out our older content, Ive covered my set up and some of the other topics you mentioned in those vids.
      Heres this one on the cable hatch I installed... love it!
      Another tip I learned - throw that jackery in an old cooler with a couple hot water bottles, it gets it going in no time.
