    We also have a dometic fridge as well as well as an inert coolbox. (Foam rubber). It keeps the fluids constantly cold. We have a batwing swingtent but have,nt used it much due to 2 bad storms. 1 two struts broke + 2 one strut snapped in two. Both storms extremely bad with high wind gusts. Because of that I bought a weatherproof sheet, very light for overnighting. Saving the rooftent for longer stays. We have very light summer quilts plus a French roll up blanket combi + a fleece blanket, all light items but very warm. We have a new bbq which replaced our old waist high one for a table top version aprox 40/50 cm. It,s called a schotelbraai which is African in origine. It,s a combi, cooker-pizza oven-pita/pancake maker + the lid is a wok for asian food. We also carry the european styles gas bottles 2 big ones + a small one for a fire in case it,s cool in the evening. (Blue) I also have an electrical paella pan which I use for other types of cooking. We also have a coleman type stove courtesy of the agent which was a nice suprise. Needless to say I do all the cooking + my wife mostly the washing up. I find the bagagebox ideal for this. We have a dab radio which we have,nt used much plus a music box for playing recorded music, mostly blues,rock + gaelic. I forgot to mention that we also have a bushcamp offroad teardrop. We never in all the yrs of camping had much luxury items we managed to do without. I suppose you could say we are minimalists. Roy, Haarlem, Holland.

    My wife likes a privacy tent (Lightspeedn 3 in 1 Privacy Tent) when we camp at the state campgrounds to have some place to change that is not a shower stall.

    One of my must haves is a small solo stove. Great single burner to cook on if needed but perfect for roasting marshmallows when you don’t want a fire.
    The other is my aero press. ‘Cause morning coffee.

    One more thing, first aid kit. May be one of things that goes without saying but I like to say it anyway.
    Mine was old and definitely needed updating after I stabbed myself in the finger in hills near Dufur a couple years ago I found my alcohol pads were dried up and the bandaids that came with the kit sucked. I ended up using a paper towel and gorilla tape.

    Great vid as always. I have some version of most of the stuff you carry, except the extra electric power source - haven't really needed it yet but can see the need for it on a longer trip. Like you I'm still ambivalent about my "attached" awnings. I have two that are mounted, but I don't think they're any more convenient than your combination. PLUS, there is generally more room for a large awning on both sides where I usually camp, but up where you are it seems like some of your camps are narrower and you just couldn't deploy the large mounted awnings that I have. I think I'll end up with some combination before long. Stay safe out there!!

      Thanks, Dale! Yes, generally end up in sites where everything is tight or sloped and we just love being able to move camp around if needed. We do love those 270 awnings though, just sooo expensive!

    ok, our teardrop will be ready in september (finally!).... I know this is hard, but let's have an adult conversation about poop...🤣.. what do you use in the toilet for absorbancy ? kitty litter? other? Inquiring minds want to know!
    My wife's biggest concern about teardrop camping.

      @WheresWiseman  11 месяцев назад +1

      One of the most important questions in camping/overlanding 😅💩 We use biodegradable poo bags (single use of course) which can be buried 18+ inches or we just usually pack them out with our garbage 👍🏻 The toilet seat we use is in our last video

    I thought you might have listed your Roam boxes as must have. They sure look like a nice item for carrying stuff. Maybe 2 nice of a box to carry dirty stuff like chainsaws 😆

    Because of you guys, my husband and I are gonna get the pop-up fire pit.😍 We already have the propane fire pit but having a wood burning seems awesome. Is it really true that there’s less smoke with the pop-up vs standard ground fire pit?
    I think Fireside needs to sponsor you guys!😁

    • @WheresWiseman
      @WheresWiseman  11 месяцев назад +2

      Haha, awesome! You won't be disappointed! We definitely think it's less smokey, but lots of variables to consider.
      We 💯 agree!!! 🔥

    • @WheresWiseman
      @WheresWiseman  11 месяцев назад +1

      We use a 2 gallon RotoPax 👌 amzn.to/44DCUnO stores nicely in the electrical cabinet storage area

      Thank you! We generally use a GoPro 9 and Sony A6600, and sometimes get clips on our phones too.
