    There are virtually no reviews of the larger LBT backpacks like the 30 or 35L. Which is odd because they have been out for a while and they look awesome & USA made. Thanks for doing this one.

      I have considered doing more lbt packs. As I like most of them, there are just sooo many awesome bags that catch my interest …. I’m like dug from the movie up.

      @@WeFightTheDark there are plenty of packs in the 30-35L range that have hundreds of RUclips reviews (MR, Goruck, Evergoods, etc). I understand that LBT is marketed towards the military but their bags still could be used for travel. I own one of their bags already but it’s odd to me that there are hardly any reviews.

      @@Losersluck_ I don’t think they’re just “marketed” for the military, pretty sure they’re primarily designed solely for the military. Even the low vis version is still ultimately intended for mil use.

    This pack works great for K9 tracking/apprehension. Takes a beating for tracking in everything. Small size with few large pockets to carry extra leads, bolt cutters, fence pliers, collapsible bowl, water, few medical, etc. Low profile with no webbing to prevent snagging. Drain hole for deep water. Strap buckles to easily drop pack. I'm glad LBT made it.

      This really is a solid all-around pack. Everything I’ve tried to use it for it as excel that. Definitely one that I’m keeping in my arsenal and I’m never going to Cell. Even if I don’t use it for a while, I know better than to let it go.

    Best series of reviews I've seen about this bag. Thanks for all your work. Two questions: 1) how did you put on the zipper pulls? 2) This bag vs. the goruck bullet - which one would you choose as your EDC dad bag?

    • @jeffgrantMEDIA
      @jeffgrantMEDIA  Год назад +1

      thanks for watching! I attached the black chord through the zipper pull the en used red dual wall heat shrink. Use a heat gun for red. A lighter will burn it. I had a 15l bullet and sold it because it didn’t have the main feature of a dad bag. No water bottle pockets. I actually bought one thinking I would attach LBT water bottle pockets to it. Aftet getting the bullet though, it does. It have side MOLLE to attach anything too. So if I were to send it to SCARS to add them, it would cost more than the bag. So I sold that off and went back to the LBT.

    Great quality review! only complaint on my end is you complaining about the tactical applications not being necessary for a civilian bag! 😆 although not likely to ever need to use the straps' quick release buckles, there are plenty of everyday emergency scenarios anyone can unpredictably find themselves in where they may be necessary and as a prepper ide personally rather have them 😅 but you still get the thumbs up because again, very well done review. i appreciate you!

    U do really high qualities reviews. You should have a lot more subs tbh but I guess bc a lot of people like myself don’t own this backpack lol (I looked up the item shrine circus to show my four year old bc he’s never gone and we’re going this week) and your video came up. Just wanted to say you’re videos are great and maybe you should jump into vlogging ? Something that would get alot more viewers!

    The buckles on the shoulder straps are there for a purpose. So the bag can be integrated into a plate carrier.

    • @jeffgrantMEDIA
      @jeffgrantMEDIA  3 месяца назад +1

      @@gmmk815 while I have no doubts this bag will withstand anything an urban environment can trow at it, it will not hold up to any military (or military like) use. These are consumer grade materials. That said, I still love and use this bag. And wish the drainage hole was not there and straps were not quick release. They are bulky and you can feel them rub the inside of the arm.

    Good review. I just think your viewpoint on the packs purpose is a little skewed. You stated that it’s a not a military pack, yet is made by a company that strictly provides military equipment. Then you said it again about the grommet, then asked for MOLLE. Anywho, overall good review and great channel.

    • @jeffgrantMEDIA
      @jeffgrantMEDIA  Год назад

      LBT does not make strictly military gear. This is a civilian market bag. LBX Tactical is their military gear. I don’t like grommets on bags because they let water into the bag. If you are using it for rucking, a geometry is A-OK. But the 14l daypack is not durable enough to put weight in. So being a civilian day pack and not being able to use it for rucking, there is no need for a grommet.
      MOLLE on the other hand is useful in damn near any market.

    • @SR-ci5vf
      @SR-ci5vf Год назад +1

      @@jeffgrantMEDIA I believe your misinformed on what LBX Tactical is. LBT is a berry complaint nylon and textile company solving equipment and protective equipment issue. LBX was created to decrease the cost by having items manufactured offshore, and also removing it the berry complaint list. While I acknowledge that LBT does make COTS products the primary focus of LBT is military/LE solutions. Military and most LE can’t purchase LBX gear because it isn’t berry complaint. Glad we could do a little knowledge transfer.

    • @jeffgrantMEDIA
      @jeffgrantMEDIA  Год назад

      @@SR-ci5vf ok. The 8006a is certainly civilian made. While I use it a LOT and it is holding up great for me, it is no where near durable enough for military application.

    • @tcj2185
      @tcj2185 Год назад

      @@jeffgrantMEDIAthe above guy is right sorry. LBT has been making mil bags since day 1. No this bag isn’t terribly durable for hard field use but it wasn’t intended for that. It’s just a simple light in and out kinda pack for low profile work. It does make a great edc pack imo but LBT to my knowledge has never been a civilian oriented company. Look at literally all they’re other gear. No reason that we can’t use the packs I just wouldn’t expect them to adjust they’re designs to cater to the general market.

      @@tcj2185 and I still stand by my above statement about the 8006a not being a military grade bag. It is great as a light duty day bag. It this would not last in any military application. Look at the color combos. “Brushstroke” and solid/camo mixes are not military bags.
