This came out great! I have never seen a Bolen's Ridemaster before and I worked in my Dad's lawnmower repair shop from the late 1960's until the mid 1970's. This is a museum piece, such a cool looking tractor. You need to get a T-shirt made with this machine on it some time!
Hey Jr., Mike from Detroit, Just wanted to thank you again for the tour of the grounds and a first lookey see of the Ride Master...also met Elk Skins...very nice people! Can't wait to order my "FIRE IT UP" shirt!
Awesome restoration on that Ridemaster. Love it when these old girls are made to look like new again. Look forward to your next build, and more great videos.
Love it! I restored my john deere lt 160. 600 for the mower new hood bumper seat and paint plus all the original decals ran close to 500. Did a lil custom touch with some extra decals to personalize it. Looks great. Runs great. Your video for the tranny belt was a huge help.
Awesome job Taryl, I love it and the colors look great. I know what you mean about rebuilding a classic car, I have a 1980 Camaro that I bought 14 years ago and now that I am retired it is getting a makeover. I payed $3,600.00 for it and have already put $10,000.00 into it and still going. OUCH!!! Thank you Grass Rats for all the fun, laughter and knowledge.
Super nice! I love old equipment. I just finished getting a Toro/Wheelhorse back into action after the original owner let it set for over three years. It's a 269H with the hydraulic deck lift and "tool-less" attachments change. When I went to look at it and saw that hydraulic deck lift I had to have it and the lift works great. It's probably the best $200 I'll ever spend! Heck after watching this video and Slippers I may go ahead and repaint it after mowing season. I really enjoy your videos. Now if I can just figure out how to stop the Briggs on my Scotts from trashing governor gears I'll be extatic! Yeah I watched your video on that too!
Nice restoration! I've gotten parts from Floyds for my Honda & Wheel Horse tractors, good people. I also use stainless hardware when restoring my stuff. I've been getting it from Albany County Fasteners in New Jersey. They have a great selection and great prices. I buy quantities of 25 or 50 and it costs much less than buying those little bags from the big box stores. Keep up the good work!
Nice! I think once you factor in the labor, it is very reasonably priced. Just imagine the memories some young man had riding that thing 70 years ago... Priceless.
Very nice garden tractor restoration. My dad built a garden tractor back in the 70's. it had a Briggs model 23 with transmision and rear end out of a 49 Ford pickup. Wish I had a picture.
Looks great Taryl!!!! Love the colors and all the workmanship. And yes, it’s cheaper than restoring car. Keep up the good work!!! Grass rats forever!!!!
That thing looks amazing! I could definitely see Taryl riding this thing into town to go get him some Hamms beer. All he would need to do is build some sort of box that could hold a case or two, make it able to attach to the rear hitch on this mean machine and presto! Can't wait to see the tug-off!

Nice. I bet Mr Bolens is smiling down from heaven looking at his machine all purty.
It's not quite Dennis Hopper in 'Easy Rider' but it'll do for a Sunday Afternoon. Nice work, Mr. Dactyl, very nice indeed!
