I was about 22 living in Australia when I woke up late after a night shift and put on the TV. Oprah was chatting to Tolle about this book n 2008. The night before I had what I can only describe as an enlightenment and I was curious as to what had happened to me? then they were sat discussing enlightenment. I went to the local bookshop and the they had one copy left. That copy was mine.
My Self is so happy that another generation can wake up to their True Self, without thoughts. We need to all wake up asap. We have things to do to share Love to all. Thank you, Oprah and Eckhart . Valerie

Yes, certainly, it is absolutlely, in line, with Buddhism, Zen, Advaita Vedanta, Non-dual teachings....esssentially the 'Eastern' view of the world. ( As opposed to the Western religions that are based on mythologies and mere ideas.) The Eastern understandings are based on reality as it IS.
I got this, from reading the Bible. And it has nothing to do with religion of any kind, just excepting things as they are in the present moment. As soon as I changed my thoughts and thinking around this things changed, so did my life. ❤

I like religion because I found out quick enough that it's an old battle going on. And I, by myself can't be multidimensional. I need help. Now matter how tough life is for us, we got the easy part guys. When God has given me a sight of what is against us, humans. I can't stop smiling, chanting and dancing, as it's Thanksgiving everyday, it humbles me more.

In this case the one who wrote the book also helped Oprah and many others that wrote it. Doesn’t seem to be written FOR the Money .. but to share what he has learned just as Oprah is sharing what has helped her. Having an open mind might be a good idea and then deciding for yourself if it’s right for you or not after reading ..

It's a book that takes years to truly embed in your daily life, so yes, this absolutely deserves a careful rereading. You need to read it AND experiment with it though, if not it may indeed seem boring and irrelevant, at times.
