The "Best Time of Your Life" Scenes from Disney's Carousel of Progress in 1986

- When the Carousel of Progress moved to Walt Disney World in 1975, its sponsor GE wanted a new theme song that reflected today, not the future. The Sherman Brothers wrote "Best Time of Your Life" for that reason, and it was the song I experienced on our family vacations in the 1980s.
This home video from our trip in June 1986 includes each clip of "Best Time of Your Life" from the Carousel of Progress. Apparently, my dad was only interested in capturing the song and not the individual scenes from the attraction. It offers a fun glimpse at what the Tomorrowland attraction was like during its early years at The Magic Kingdom. Disney ultimately changed the theme back to "There's a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow" in 1994.
