  • During my childhood trips in the '80s and early '90s, we finished our days at The Magic Kingdom with two events. The first was the Main Street Electrical Parade, and the other was fireworks above Cinderella Castle. This home video looks back at one example from this vacations.
Shot in June 1986, this video includes clips of the fireworks by viewed over the entrance to Tomorrowland. There's also a quick shot of Tinker Bell "flying" across the sky to start the show. After the fireworks, there's also some live entertainment in front of the castle. Pluto is a "tramp" for that song from Lady and the Tramp, and we're introduced to Winnie the Pooh. It's a fun look back an evening at The Magic Kingdom in the 1980s.

This is around the time i took my first trip to WDW. Seemed so much easier/simpler back then compared to now

Nice! I was 10 back in 1986, so I suspect I didn't see the complexities. But I agree that it was a very different resort (not even considering COVID). There were fewer guests overall, and while there were long lines at times, it wasn't on the same scale. Glad you were able to visit during this time!

@@tomorrowsociety Yeah I was only 3 in 86 so my memory of it is super limited but I love watching this older stuff. Wish we could go back sometimes
