    How did you source this info? Was it just major news sources like Reuters, or some other method?

      It's unavoidable, NATO needed 8 months to beat libya in 2011, Libya and Ukraine had a very similar military power back in Gaddafi's Libya

    so Kiev was a distraction whilst Russia defeated the best trained Ukrainian forces in the east and south.

      Not really. Russia was going to capture Kyiv in first 2-4 days but got totally failure. If it wanted to distract by Kyiv if wouldn’t retreat from Kyiv, Donbas is still the goal

    • @Writeous0ne
      @Writeous0ne 2 года назад +6

      @@MaksymMelnychuk do you have any sources that proves Russia intended to take Kiev and win in 2-4 days other than western media?
      In war "defeat in detail" is a military strategy where you send a large force to split your opponents forces and increase your chance to defeat the troops in the objective area. Considering Russian separatists have been fighting in Donbas for 8 years and Ukraines most experienced/best trained forces are in the east its entirely possible that the huge convoy sat outside kiev was just a distraction whilst Russia took over the east, defeated Ukraines best soldiers and cut off supply from the port cities.
      Now the numerous ukraine cities are destroyed, Donbass is conquered, Ukraine is projected a 45% drop in GDP you'd have to conclude Russias plan actually worked.

      @chrishenson430 2 года назад

      @@Writeous0ne It was a distraction you don't try to capture the biggest city in the country with only 40,000 troops and barely touch its infrastructure they wanted ukraine to defend it thinking they will invade it.

    • @Writeous0ne
      @Writeous0ne 2 года назад

      @@chrishenson430 most likely yes. The convoy outside of kiev was deliberately to split Ukraines forces across the country imo. Which explains why they retreated from the north as soon as they secured most of the east and southern ports.
