Once you actually give this watch some time, you'll fall in love with it. I have a Hulk, No Date Sub and DateJust 41 Jubilee in my collection, however since getting the DeepSea 126660 Black a year ago, it's become my daily driver and I haven't worn anything else. Sure, I bumped it into a few walls at first, but haven't again since. You're 100% right about its presence, but I love seeing people do double-takes at my wrist and the compliments it gets.
got a deepsea in 2010 still have it,i love everything about it.
Nice Acquisition. Owning a Rolex is buying more than a timepiece, its all about the Heritage, Pedigree, the Brand and the Lifestyle.
I bought my 116660 second hand as an investment, as I thought it is too large for my 6 3/4 wrist, but honestly, I have had it on my arm much more then I would ever imagine, not for several weeks but for several days, I have many watches so the competition is fierce... My wrist is on the small side but flat, so doesn`t look too large. I`s an impressive watch, nothing that I have ever owned come close to the whole package of this watch, that they are reasonable priced on the second hand market.
One tip for making it wear more comfortable is to remove the extendable link, big difference in comfort.

Got the 126660 james cameron couple of months ago and man oh man Im loving it. Its a big bad boy from the deep!
I’m a bartender and wear mine behind the bar and agree with people being nice to me with this on. I think they treat me differently because I’m wearing a $12k watch on my wrist. I love it. I love the watch. I love it represents success and my hard work.

I have the 126660 DS in Black Dial and I love it. Yes, it's heavy and I like it that way, to each his own. It's like a tank wearing a tuxedo, tough and classy!! Enjoy!

I am interested in purchasing this but worried about the 17mm height. Looking at my collection, I have the Seiko MM600 Tuna and my Omega Seamaster 44mm chrono which has the same height as the seadweller. Might be pushing for this purchase. Thanks for the vlog sir Carlo 😊

Carlo, I use a RX-8 Rolex protector for my Deepsea. So far it just scratches the protector.

You might wanna check out the Orient Kano 44mm or the Orient Kamasu 42mm, might suit your big wrist.
Try checking out some of the watches made by Avi-8. They make some pretty good looking watches.
Sir, piece of advice if you haven't heard this yet. Please preserve the watch as much as you can most specially if you're planning to keep it for a long long very long time. The minor scratches and maybe the patina adds character to the watch hence the appreciation of price and high collectibility. Wear it in good health sir!

Don't worry about the scratches. When you have it serviced, they'd buff it out. But until then, carry the scars with pride.
I would be constantly thinking about my Rolex too if I was wearing it in Philippines.

Carlo sold his sub for the DSSD bec he said it was too small for him though. And the daytona wears smaller than the sub, or at least the same vs the pre ceramic ones. I have small wrists and sometimes I still feel my 116500ln daytona wears too small compared to my sub since the maxicase gives more wrist presence
@@dczero I think for guys with bigger wrist, Daytona sizewise wud look like a datejust but the novelty of owning one is the prize, not to mention the appreciation over time. I believe its one of the only watches in the world that will NEVER depreciate from its retail price at least. But having one in ur collection willl put u world class, as a collector. Its basically like having a unicorn in ur collection.

Rolex's oyster steel is more prone to scratches than the 316l that everyone else use
The Omega steel also scratches easily! I’ll do a follow up video on my seamaster 300m
