Thanks for not putting any "call stands" replay results in this video, as that means that no matter what the ump called it would have remained the call -- right or wrong.
This is the biggest argument for robo umps. If they excel at the out-safe calls and struggle with balls-strikes, it's a win-win situation to give them some help.
@FJBLGB-hs4xx Hardly 100%. While not a fan of either Angel or CB, to highlight the 6-8% (and that might be high) incorrect call rate still means the correct call rate is 92-94%. Is it because a .330 batter is a top hitter? Since when is 33% free throw shooter (basketball) a quality shooter. Sad part is last years rankings had Angel right in the middle of all MLB umpires in plate rankings. But I'd much rather the umpires not have so much attention for the 5% of the calls they get wrong.
@@FJBLGB-hs4xx according to umpscorecards no umpire has been below 87.3% in a game this year (and the only one that low is not someone mentioned here). 4 of Angel’s 7 plates have been 94.1% or better (another was at 93.5%). Umpscorecards also operates on “zero error” even though the data they pull from says it can be off by up to 1 inch.
Parra's call is incredible!
Atta babe to Tosi, Walsh, Bucknor, Hernandez & Parra! And thanks CCS
Anyone know where Pat Hoberg is this year? Umpire Scorecards says he hasn’t umpired a game yet
he had surgery and is in recovery
@@bigpoppa1234 The greatest balls and strikes man in the game today. When he is IN the game, of course. Thanks for the update. Speedy recovery, P-Ho!
these are awesome keep these up!
ANY correct call by Devil Hernandez should be eligible for "Call of the Month".
Just sayin'...
Thank you for the video
Why was there a challenge on #4?
Shout out Angel Hernandez
They looked like me out there! 🤣😂

I find it comical that Angle Hernandez can see a hit bye pitch but can't ever see the actual strike zone.
To be fair, it's Angel. Statistically he's going to get one.
Wait a tic... Angel Hernandez made a COREECT CALL... is this one of the signs of the apocalypse
Feels like eh.
C.B. Bucknor for once actually makes a correct call.
He's actually pretty good on the bases. It's balls and strikes and situation management where Angel falls short.
even a broken clock is right twice a day
Tmac is back!
Wait, Angel Hernandez got a call right? Somebody check the thermostat in Hell, because I'm pretty sure it froze over.
Hernandez calling that HBP makes me suspect that some of the "bad" calls must be related to sports betting.
as time goes on sports betting "influences" will become more apparent. some of these umpires are designated "coolers". just my opinion.
comparing hbp with strikes is just not good thinking as a strike zone is , you know, not visible
@@neixgd It's especially not visible to.. you know, Angel Hernandez.
They are completely, unbelievably different situations. He's not taking money- he just sucks at balls and strikes.
bucknor and hernandez...rigged
In all fairness, they had a 50% chance of getting it right
@@HipsterDoofus100 They are usually wrong 100% of the time though.

@@donh6416 Try closer to 15%. That is their average for missed calls.

Blame the union for protecting shitty umpires.
