The padres pray they don't play the mets in the first round. The mets have them dominated. And actually same goes with Arizona. But even more strange is that they played well against the top seeds like the Dodgers. But lose easily to the Rockies.
@shipwreck8847 Yes, those are strange things about the Padres this season. You never know how teams will match up, or if some sort of psychological issues are involved. Sometimes long rivalries occur in which even terrible teams seem to always get up for one other team. It should be very interesting. The Padres have a good shot, if everyone is playing at his peak potential.

If they play the philies, that's one top seed they are dominated against. I think the padres, have a great record but they are too inconsistent with dominating teams they should be winning against. There's no reason to have such a horrible record against the Rockies this season. That's like the Chiefs getting dominated by the Arizona Cardinals, but they can beat the 49ers.

But in our favor, some of those series dominated by the teams you mentioned occurred early in the season, before the Padres began to play so well-- when they were always around .500. I haven't checked on when they last played the Phillies or a couple of other playoff teams. It's going to be fun if they can get in! I hope that if they do, they're not eliminated right away.

And hopefully things changed, but I would say recently post all star break, Arizona, Mets and Rockies still had a series winning edge most recently and they just played the Giants and before yesterday's game the giants won 2-1 in the last series. Now it's 2-2, but that's not good news seeing as how the Giants are sub .500 and the padres are close to 20+ games .500. The Padres just need to get their shit together before Oct. Because all you worked for to get to the post season doesn't matter if you play the mets and it's the same story or arizona. If they can actually play the dodgers, I'm betting on the Padres to take that series. But the only true team on the top is the Philies that the padres are shaky with.
Manny just scoops a low ball pitch and the ball still goes far enough to show Manny is Clark Kent. The guy has the slightest or just the most kick back swing, EVER. Unbelievable sight of effortless for big hits. I believe he can not swing too hard like the rest of the world, he usually ends up always breaking the bat , so his swing was made to avoid breaking the bat, but for big hits its amazing, lol. Fans should always don the S shirt when he is up , but with Padre colors . I think of the theme from Superman as well when he is at the plate.
