"NORA! MY NORA! SAVE MY NORRRRRAAAAAA!!!"
A video to match the weather outside, will that also include Captain Cold and Killer Frost?... Yes, because my Mark Hamill video will take time to edit and put together.
(Also, for those who don't know, my Luke and Leia videos have been postponed till The Last Jedi's home release.)
GenerationWest For Valentines Day, Do Kelly Sheridan or Stephanie Sheh.
Сделай с Джокером обнову видео.
I'd love to see these 3 cryotic felons go against each other in Death Battle, even though it's ice clear that Cold would easily win.
GenerationWest Arkham games, BTAS, The Batman, Young Justice, Enemy Within, and Batman and Robin.
GenerationWest I found the voice actor who played mr freeze in Batman dark tomorrow
Michael Ansara & Maurice LaMarche are the best Mr Freeze voices.
Shaun N Ince definitely
Those two are good, but Michael Ansara is the one that touched our hearts that made us feel sorry for what he became in Batman the Animated Series and what his last words were said in Batman Beyond.
Definitely
@@NakedSnake1836 his was a big part of my childhood may he rest in peace😢💔
I agree with you on that.
Michael Ansara is, by miles, the best Freeze actor we've had. He captures the tragedy of the character, the being of deep passion, locked in an icy cage. Maurice LaMarche is good, but he is not cold enough in my opinion, he shows too much passion, instead of straining between the two.
bertimusprime idk, I always pictured freeze as German and Micheal either didn’t do an accent, or he was bad at ir
@@Acesarecool4269 No yea me too, especially considering the name Victor Fries
I feel like if Arnold S had been cast as Freeze in a more serious form of the character instead of making ice puns, he could’ve been one heck of a portrayal
Totally; if he portrayed him like he portrayed the Terminator, and mixed in a little bit of his performance in Maggie with that, then we'd get the perfect Mr. Freeze.
I don't mind the ice jokes; they're very fitting for an ice-based villain. Me makes a great Freeze, especially with that awesome suit.
Probably. In another universe.
I think he's too heckin' buff for a fallen scientist.
@@rifath8152 fair enough, but in a world where an orphan billionaire fights crime in a batsuit, is it really too hard to think a scientist could have gym membership?
When Arnold didn’t have to do crappy puns, and do actual dramatic scenes, he did surprisingly well.
This. Arnold had potential for Mr Freeze.
Personally, I’d still cast him as Mr. Freeze.
Plus, that suit looks awesome.
You clearly haven't seen very many good drama films, because Arnold is absolutely terrible at drama and acting as a whole. His portrayal of Victor exemplifies this as didn't do even remotely well.
Bird Up there’s opinions
Maurice Lamarche’s voice perfectly matches Mr. Freeze. It’s as fitting as Kevin Conroy as Batman and Mark Hamill as Joker.
Jon Snow and Robert England is the Riddler
You spelt Michael Ansara wrong
I'd say Robert Englund is the best Scarecrow, and I felt that Jim Pirri was the best Freeze.
@@joepro182 yeah Englund is better for Sacrecrow, Wally wingert is better as Riddler
The fun fact is when, Maurice LaMarche voiced as Balto and Mark Hamill as Niju from Balto 2: 🐺 quest.
Michael Ansara is my favorite Mr. Freeze.
"I failed you. I wish there were another way for me to say it, but I cannot. I can only beg your forgiveness and pray you hear me somehow. Someplace, someplace where a warm hand waits for mine."
1 Michael Ansara: he will always be Mr Freeze
2 Maurice LaMarche: yessssss
3 Clancy Brown: his voice sounds threatening
4 Nathan Fillion: his voice his hilarious
5 Jim Pirri: he’s just doing a Maurice LaMarche impression
I'll say what I want what about Robert Kraft?
The BiG CAM Not my favourite, but still good
Brian Silva sounds like the movie trailer guy was looking for extra christmas cash and took the job
Liam 'O Brien an Arnold Schwarzenegger Wannabe.
I actually think Jim Pirri sounds like Dee Bradley Baker’s Klaus
Michael Ansara RIP. Rest in peace Mr. freeze 🥶
Michael Ansara is what set the standard for future Freezes imo. His is by far my favorite, so emotionless and cold (pun intended)
Exactly.
I love how for both Ansara and LaMarche the voice becomes more and more electrically augmented and emotionally distant as the suit becomes more important to their survival. It's such a subtle, critical element to getting the character right.
Is it just me, or does Michael Ansara's take on Mr Freeze make anyone else tear up a bit?
No. Me too. BTAS and Mr. Ansara's voice really boosted the character from a minor/campy villain to a great, tragic soul.
"It would move me to tears, if I still had tears to shed."
In all seriousness, it was his portrayal of Freeze that turned the character into the tragic, sympathetic villain we know today. We have him to thank for that. God rest his soul
It’s a very distinctly insidious yet also mournful edge, when you got bombastic performances like Firefly, Joker and Riddler it’s a nice way to round out the cast
Michael Ansara and Maurice Lamarche.
It actually looks like they based Freeze's design on him.
Michael Asner is Mr freeze all from my childhood
Rip Michael your voice will be Mr freeze
That's ANSARA.
Michael Ansara truly brings the pain of a man who has lost it all to the role for the first time.
I also love the voice filter they used. It really gives a sense of a frost-covered ring modulator.
Michael Ansara owned that role. Honestly though, all of the Batman: TAS voices were top-notch.
Michael Ansara and Maurice LaMarche are the true voices of Mr Freeze . Mr Freeze is such a tragic villain but he was not evil .
Michael ansara is the best mr. Freeze by far, but there have been alot of good ones too
Save
N O R A
"I guess you two snow-jobs will have to change gimmicks!"
"It's not my gimmick. I will literally DIE in warm temperatures. My cryogenically frozen wife is my whole reason for living! My name is Victor Fries, for goodness sake!"
Michael Ansara always epitomized Mr. Freeze for me in the same vain as Kevin Conroy for Batman and Mark Hamill as Joker.
@g
gn3 True!
Maurice in Arkham knight is my favorite. He perfectly captured the pure misery in Freeze’s voice every time he speaks about Nora.
1) Michael Ansara was the best Mr. Freeze for his time with us. He's been throughout almost the entire Batman DCAU series, and shows of the tragedy of the character while still enlisting the passion in his character for saving his wife.
2) Maurice LaMarche definitely gets the number 2 spot for me with how well he captures Freeze's calculated coldness of a man. He's almost their with Michael with being Iconic.
3) Jim Pirri in Injustice 2 really surprised me, but his voice and dialogue really nails it to me, and shows so much for the character he is portraying, even if he's just a skin, I'd like to see more of his work in other media.
HM) John DiMaggio fits Mr. Zero (I believe the Silver Age name for Freeze) within the Brave and the Bold Series, which I really appreciate the cheesiness of the character he brings. He's a talented voice actors but their are better voices fitting for Freeze in general.
HM) Clancy Brown has the same problem with John, while being an amazing voice actor, his portrayal of the character only fits within the series they're in, specifically The Batman animated series. He just gives of this evil chill of a sinister man with no care but for himself.
HM) Arnold Schwarzenegger did pretty well as the character but I think he would've been better in a better movie. I do like how cheesy the character is within the movie, and I do give props for his sympathetic portrayal for Freeze, even if it comes of a bit cliche.
Maurice Lamarche did an amazing Impression of Late Michael Ansara as Mr Freeze
4:46 Wouldn't it have been a better pun if it had been, "In this universe, there's only one absolute: ... ZERO."
Eh?
Well your right and also you got a Killer Moth Picture how can I disagree?
I liked Maurice LaMarche in the Arkham series, but Michael Ansara was legendary, so perfect to voice Mr. Freeze. RIP to the man who brought one of my favorite villains to life during my childhood.
At 3:08 the voices start gradually getting better
1. Arnold Schwarzeneggar by far
Just kidding
1. Michael Ansara 3:08
2. Maurice LaMarche 8:47
3. Keith Szarabajka 7:07
4. Clancy Brown 5:56
5. Jim Pirri 14:01
Arnold as Mr Freeze wasn't that bad.
He just needed to make less ice puns and be more dramatic
I like Clancy brown more as Lex Luthor
To be honest, Arnold wasn't to far from the campy 60s Batman iterations.
George Sanders coming ridiculously close to matching Ansara and Le Marche 30 years ahead of his time. Absolutely incredible.
1. Maurice LaMarche
2. Michael Ansara
3. Everyone else
Maurice LaMarche is really the best. His line in Arkham Origins "Damn you Batman for forcing my hand!" Always gave me serious chills (pun not intended)
If Schwarzenegger was given a serious script and a solid director to work with he would’ve made an excellent Mr Freeze, when he wasn’t throwing puns or jokes around his delivery was quite solid. Not to mention lines like “I’m afraid my condition has left me cold to your pleas of mercy” are pretty badass.
'I'm beyond emotions, they've been frozen dead in me.'
Huh, Sanders’ Freeze sounds surprisingly serious, almost like the TAS version later on
Maurice LaMarche, Michael Ansara. John DiMaggio and George Sanders for me. love these portrayals.
Michael Ansara. one of the most underrated actors of all time
Len Hazell Yep, Kang and General Warhawk as Mr. Freeze.
My favourite performance is as the medicine man John singing Rock in the film version of The Manitou, he acts Tony Curtis off the screen.
Michael Ansara hands down. Even though he shows little emotion, the delivery with each line is awesome and you know exactly what he feels
Maurice Lamarche is good, too. But Ansara IS Freeze
The artistry of Ansara is that despite him speaking in predominantly an entirely monotone way, you can feel the extreme agony behind the words in a way actual vocal emotion wouldn't have even conveyed.
Michael Ansara and Maurice LaMarche are the best Mr. Freeze!
4:40 Even though it's just a audio, I still tear up at that scene.
Everytime I hear Micheal Ansara play Freeze, it makes me want to start crying.
Michael Ansara without a doubt. His voice naturally has the effect others needed software to create. His delivery was very believing of someone who was emotionless and dead on the inside.
1: MICHAEL ANSARA (RIP) THE ICONIC MR. FREEZE
2: MAURICE LA MARCHE THE SUCESSOR
Michael Ansara will always be Mr. Freeze but his successor to keep it going is Maurice Lamarche. At least to me lol.
*Lionfield: “the monster who took you from me will learn that revenge is a dish, best served cold.”*
5:20 the unknown Voice Actor is Paul Eiding. He's best known for his role as Col Roy Campbell in the Metal Gear Solid series and his work in Ben 10. His voice is very distinct.
RIP Michael ansara Rest in peace my friend 😔😔😔😔😔😔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔
George Sanders and Michael Ansara are the best Mr. Freezes. And what a coincidence that they practically say the same type of dialogue about talking about summer.
George Sanders was surprisingly great.
Yeah if he had been given actual good writing, he would have been incredible.
I mean, for Batman 66 standards even these lines are pretty dark and more in character with TAS Batman.
Right? I was surprised to see how seriously he was portrayed then
11:15 The show Brian Shiva was in was called 'Beware the Batman' not just 'Batman'.
RIP TO ALL THE MR FREEZE ACTORS
Michael Ansara is golden.
I’m surprised that Peter Stormare wasn’t asked to portray Mr. Freeze more often, really. His portrayal and voice fit the character like a glove, and he brought excellent depth to the character!
To me Michael Ansara is always the best Mr. Freeze. Rest his soul & I personally think Maurice LaMarche took the torch & did an excellent job to fill in Ansara's shoes as Mr. Freeze.
"IT TOOK ME 6 YEARS TO MAKE THIS FREEZE RAY! HOW DO YOU HIGH SCHOOL DROP OUTS KEEP MAKING THEM?!"

Jim Meskimen was good in his human for I would love to see him voice a traditional Mr. Freeze someday.

Jim Pirri is actually the best, didn't expect that. He really nails the voice in a way most don't
Notice the huge gap from 1977 until 1992?
That's because Mr Freeze had been all but killed off. The depiction he had on BTAS was so well received it completely revived him as a serious villain!
Actually, I don't think there was much voice acting going on in the Batman world during this time period. There was the live action films, but even today Joker, Penguin, and Catwoman are more obvious ones
Nice work. Which one next?
I think Michael Ansara is my favourite Voice of Mr. freeze he had a deep and strong voice and pretty tough voice
For the character in my opinion
🤓😀
I don't know if Mr. Freeze would ever in a live-action Batman movie; but I think Patrick Stewart would be a perfect dead ringer.
Clancy Brown makes a good job voicing Mr. Freeze.
There's something so haunting about Michael Ansara's voice.
It's probably the warbling they gave his dialogue, but it sounds so much older than it actually is. Like he's communicating from years beforehand. Like he's talking to us beyond the grave...
One of the guys who played Mr. Freeze, ironically, is named 'Ted Knight', the same name of the first Starman in DC.
Maurice LaMarche and Oded Fehr are surprisingly fantastic. Fehr could play Victor in live-action!
No matter how many different actors they cast and potrayals they give, none will ever surpass Michael Ansara as the definitive Mr. Freeze. His performance perfectly captured the villain as the tragic figure he was. Maurice LaMarche remains a worthy successor to him in the Arkham series, and I would love for him to reprise the role with even more material someday.
Patrick Stewart should play Mr Freeze next
I think the most fitting is Maurice LeMarche and Micheal Ansara but the one I think sounds the most badass is Clancy Brown's
I like Maurice LaMarche the most. The FX filter over the top really makes it the best voice out of all of these and Michael Ansara is a very close second.
RIP Michael Ansara.Best Mr.Freeze voice.Even Maurice does it good in arkham games!I always hear Michael's voice when I read a comic.
Missed one that i know of that is Batman Vengeance game please make a updated vid with it or a vid with mr.freeze batman vengeance only
Since Christmas is around the corner, you should do a video of the voice actors of Arthur’s Christmas (2011) and no it’s not Arthur the aardvark
LaMarche and Ansara both do an amazing job and it's very hard to choose between them because they play his role in completely different but valid ways.
Maurice is definitely the true rightful successor to Ansara's brilliance in my opinion.
Michael will be surly missed for he was my favorite Batman villain to watch on the animated series when it was on tv
1:30 Otto preminger reminds me of Sebastian Shaw as Anakin from being unmasked.
I guess this means that the confrontation with Mr Freeze in Batman: The Enemy Within must take place at HIGH NOON.
There is something beautiful in Oded Fehr's way of reading the lines...
The late Michael Ansara was and forever the best. With Maurice LaMarche a close second
Holy Shit! Mr. Krabs did his voice in The Batman? Awesome.
Cool
Maurice Lamarche is Mr Freeze!!!
Crazy that Tuco from the Good , the Bad & The Ugly played Mr. Freeze.
Michael Ansara and Maurice LaMarche, easy
Also Arnold Schwarzenegger just for the laughs
Do updated killer croc voices
The DC villain I'd like to see done next is Felix Faust. I know Peter Cullen and Robert Englund have both voiced him in the past, Cullen being the first person to do so, but I don't know if there have been others.
George Sanders in one of the best versions of Mr Freeze next to Michael Ansara. I love Sanders Mr Freeze a villain who fought Batman and was punched into chemicals that made him only service in subzero temperature now is out for revenge better then the other freezes on the show and I can see what dini took from this verison for btas
Best character ever 💙😭💙
I like how Liam is trying to imitate Arnold over here
Mr. Freeze is my favorite Batman villain of all time🥶! If Tim Burton stayed on the Batman project, then I think Patrick Stewart would’ve played the character.
RIP George Sanders , Eli Wallach , Otto Preminger and Michael Ansara .
You should do Spider-Man 2099 next!

Micheal Ansara, Clancy Brown, John DiMaggio, Keith Szarabajka, Robert Kraft, Maurice LaMarche, Brian Silva, Peter Stormare and Jim Pirri
Arnold Schwarzenegger and his puns of course lol the animated series and arkham are the best.
I`ve been thinking. What if Giancarlo Esposito voiced Freeze?
I mean, the guy has voiced a lot of these calm, stoic villains, who barely show any signs of emotion. So, what if he voiced a villain that has, literally, " a heart of ice",?
He doesn`t have to play him in live action ( and even if he did, what`s the problem with makeup to make his skin look blue/white),
but I think he would do a great job as Freeze. Probably make him sound menacing and detached, with or without the tragic elements of his character.
Idk, this is just an idea of mine.
It’s too bad Michael Ansara passed away. He was the perfect voice for Mr. Freeze.
Michael Ansara. Period. His best performances were in Batman & Mr. Freeze: Sub-Zero (the one that introduced me to him) and "Meltdown" of Batman Beyond.
Maurice LaMarche is the only one I consider a true worthy heir to Mr. Ansara's legacy.
